This place was average, moderately clean, food was OK, I won't probably go back much as there are much better choices elsewhere in the balti triangle.

Fantastic Food, a relative recommended this place and I was sceptical as they said they said that it specialised in kebabs and was more in the mood to have curry's.
11 of us were seated within a few minutes, the waiters rearranged the tables and then we ordered a selection of curries and grills.
Food arrived within 15 minutes and we know that it was freshly cooked as it has an open kitchen.
The best curries were:
Pesahawar Gosht
Chilli Paneer
Nehari ( although the portion was quite small)
The best Grill was the peri peri chicken.
Good value for money, bill came to £63 for 9 adults excluding drinks.
The only downside was that we parked on a double yellow as there is no parking outside the restaurant.

I'm sorry but I have to say I visited this restaurant the other day and my experience was utterly terrible!!! The food took ages to come out and was cold by the time it came out, they seemed to favour their regular customers and ignored us for the first 15 mins until we told them we were ready to order! For the price we paid the food was shockingly inedible! Staff were rude and made offensive jokes, atmosphere was dead apart from the 2-3 regular customers I mentioned earlier! Decor and overall condition of the restaurant is old-fashioned and to put it nicely hasn't seen a lick of paint since the 1800's! I've heard some people rave about this restaurant but I'm scarred for life from my visit! 3 (or 8) words: Disgusting, Diabolical and Definitely NEVER going there again!!

Dear Management We travelled from Bradford for a funeral and on our way home we asked the locals where we should eat our concluding Yummy Brummy meal. A number of them enthusiastically suggested 'the one and only' Desi Grill Khana. Telling us about the brilliant reputation it had gained. After the fantastic experience - I understand why. The ambience was good and the food was just right. Everything was cooked in the open plan kitchen and the staff were extremely courteous. We felt very comfortable with the surroundings - but the food was particularly GOOD and your far famed reputation is well and truly deserved. Many Thanks for an excellent and enjoyable evening and keep up the excellent service statesmanship. Your critical success factor. Please convey our compliments to the chef. Ali Khan

I travelled all the way from Wales to taste the food of this wonderful, family friendly restaurant. And Boy was it worth the 3 hours of travelling. The peri chicken was out of this world, the Karahi Gosht was how u would find the taste in Pakistan, and the Naans were fresh (not at all like the ones we eat in wales). What a mouth-watering experience, in a simple restaurant without pomp and ceremony!! I would highly recommend this restaurant to all that visit Birmingham!!

A restaurant that serves as good a curry at this after midnight, has to be recommended. The kebabs were juicy and tender, the herbs and constituent parts of the curries seemed fresh and the naan breads were perfect (thinner than the usual flaccid lumps of dough that you get in most places).
As this restaurant is "dry" it means that it's not full of post-pub drunks but genuine curry fans.
I'll be going again.
