second visit to this delightful little haven. food was superb yet again. i was too full to have a sweet so i know we will have to go back again soon. love the fairy lights outside, so next time hope to be alfresco.

This is a place i like but tonight was not good. Booked a table for 8pm was there early and ordered drinks and got them. A wait. Then ordered food. An hour later I went to ask what was happening, Had they forgotten us? Another wait and another one of our party went to enquire. A bit shorter wait and two were served. Another enquiry before the other two were served. The mushrooms were not stuffed portobello mushrooms and the potatoes did not seem to be accompanied by shallots.
Asked if everything was OK we said no and heard nothing else. The food was quite nice, the service and response to complaint was deplorable. The chef was completely dismissive of our comments. After a very distressing (for me) argument we did get a reduction in the bill.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!
We visited this weekend as it was my birthday and my husband wanted to take me somewhere nice to celebrate.
However the service was very slow and the food very poor. The starter's were only just adequate and the mains not great either considering the cost. The music was very overbearing for us to hold a conversation and table wobbly. The candle light was the only thing I truly liked!
Overall very disappointed and would not go back.

Food not bad but not up to usual standard. Starters were not hot when we got them. Main course very nice but the sweet did not come with the Frozen yogurt as stated on the menu and was inedible after the first few mouthfuls as it had been heated up in the microwave for too long and was burnt in the middle. The waitress tried to say it had been left too long in the oven but that would have burnt it on the outside. we were not charged for it but I don't think we will be eating there again.

Attended the Cut last night . Very quiet and nice food but has it just changed hands with new staff? Didn't know if there was an early bird on Saturday, gin and tonic was gin and soda water...because we have no tonic....sweet menu disappointing as there was nothing we liked but wanted to have a sweet, and a real disappointment was that this must be one of the only restaurant that doesn't offer soup as a starter on a Saturday night....although the waitress did have to go and ask as she didn't know .Bill£100 for 4...ok ,but I wouldn't want to be there when it was busy!! Chicken...best I have tasted in years with super turnip and carrot side. Nice setting, but a bit chilly inside at 6.30 and music far too loud to hold a conversation...volume down please!

A great little restaurant, the food is always of a good quality and consistently cooked and presented well. Staff are really friendly and you are never rushed. But don't tell everyone because I like the fact that I can always get a table!

Beautiful restaurant. The flavours on every dish I have tried are perfect and the wine list is ace.
Recommend to all my friends and no one has been disappointed.
Friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Excellent!

Just a fantastic place. The food really is as good as it gets, the atmosphere, surroundings and staff are great.
We have been going for some time, and have recommended it to numerous friends who have done exactly the same after they have been. A real gem of a place!

Love it, love it, love it.
This is by far my favourite restaurant. I've eaten here more times than I can remember and the food / staff / atmosphere never disappoints.
I cannot recommend this place enough, the 'homemade chunkie chips' are enough to keep anyone coming back for more.
