Big Nanny’s Caribbean Restaurant – HockleyVisited this restaurant recently. Although the service was excellent the food can only be described as average. Our night was spoiled by having to ask the waitress to tell a small child - presumably the owner's - to stop running around and making a noise.
EverBright – SolihullDO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE. We had ordered Papdi Chaat & Bhel Puri but both were pathetic. behl Puri was mixed with only Tamarind sauce & hence was very sour & inedible. papdi Chaat was even worse with salt added generously & again the same tamarind sauce giving a worst taste. I could very well make a better chaat at home. They have completely forgotten to add any sweet or chilli sauces to balance the salt & tamarind. I had a stomach upset after eating here. The service was even more pathetic. They were busy watching TV & we had a hard time grabbing their attention.
Chandni Chowk Restaurant and Sweets – HandsworthBeen going here for about 25 years, previous owner had constant high quality food, John started of well well, but must say the quality have serious gone down hill, a pity use to be a good chip shop.
Broad Lane Chippy The – Kings Heathwe visited the b26 on the 13 November there were four of us in our party including a cancer patient and a baby of eighteen months out of the four of us three of us suffered severe food poisoning tests were carried out and environmental health experts confirmed the problems at the restaurant include cross contamination of food and other dirty working practices the b26 should be avoided unless you want to spend a week on the toilet this is a dangerous place to eat if you value your health
B26 Food Of India – SheldonComplete waste of money based on following reasons: 1: level of service poor guys running around like headless chickens. 2: quality of food very poor and cold served in second bowls. 3: value for money complete rip off. Did highlight concerns to management all we got was attitude aggression. Stay away from that place.
Hajee’s Spices – Balti TriangleI recently ate at The Open Arms on Daventry Road with my partner and we were both very impressed with the standard of food that was served to us. We ate on a busy Saturday at 6.30. We didn't have to wait long at all and the food tasted great! All meals were very reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning to the Open Arms in the very near future!
Open Arms – CoventryBest in Northfield
Omar Khayam – NorthfieldThis is the first time I have visited Shahs restaurant in Acocks Green, I must say the waiters were very attentive and friendly as they never failed to impress me. I also ordered a Tandoori chicken Special with nan bread for my main course I must say it was packed with flavour and spice which again never failed to disappoint.
Shah’s – ShirleyWe have visited this restaurant on several occasions now and each time, we have not been disappointed. The cuisine favours healthy eating and all the ingredients are fresh and cooked in the minimum of oil. The chefs can be viewed busy cooking in the kitchen and the modern dining style, together with a friendly service completes a very enjoyable eating experience. A "little gem" in Acocks Green. Highly recommended. Oh, and you can take your own alcohol as well!
Shah’s – ShirleyWent on a saturday night, thoroughly enjoyed the food but the evening was spoilt by rude bad mannered staff. They continually told us to leave by 9.30pm as there was another sitting. They were moving chairs and tables around us whilst we were eating. Spent £80.00 on our meal refused to leave a tip.
La Fibule – MoseleySorry to go against other reviews but, food was tasteless, portions small, mezza was especially poor value. To round it off waiting staff just plain rude i.e moving tables around you while you are still eating. Won't be going back!
La Fibule – MoseleyWhy is everyone raving about Tin tins? Me and my friend went there the other day, and it was the worst Chinese meal we'd ever had. The menu is awful - boring descriptions. We ordered different mains and yet the sauce (I'm sure) was the same in each! gloopy and very disappointing. Meat very chewy. Could have made better at home sorry to say. Old fashioned decor and big screen playing youtube videos..?! No thanks.
Tin Tin Chinese Restaurant – Birmingham City Centreexcellant food and all round service
Masala Lounge – Hall GreenI visited your pub on Saturday the 19th Nov there were 4 of us and we all ordered food. I ordered chicken keiv when i took a bit out of the chicken it was hard and there was no butter on the inside as it had been cooked to a hard lump (i was given a money refund for this but totally spoilt our day. My son had the mixed grill and said it tasted as if it had all been cooked in dirty FAT. He was hungry so carried on eating. I have been in pain all weekend as the chicken that I bit into broke part of my tooth off and now I have the added expense of seeing a dentist!! I chose the H
Horse and Jockey – Sutton ColdfieldI booked a table at 7.45 on 12/11/11. A table for 4 for a birthday celebration for people who don't live in Birmingham. We arrived on time and were seated immediately. The restaurant was busy. At 8.15 I eventually caught the eye of the waiter and ordered some drinks, (wasn't actually serving customers just floating around the place), he was very brusque and didn't listen to our order and we had to repeat is several times. At 8.35 no one had taken our order although people had arrived after us and had received theirs. We decided to leave, as we got up the waiter came over and laughed loudly in our faces!!! I approached the bar area, where 2 waitresses were enjoying a drink and a chat and offered to pay for the drinks we had had, they seemed unsurprised that we were leaving, the manager came over, he gave us free drinks but didn't offer apologies or to change the situation. We were upset and embarrassed by the rudeness of the staff. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone and certainly wont be back for more humiliation.
Pavarotti – Solihull11 of us went to a family birthday at Duet Cosine. I have to say the staff were friendly and professional from the time we arrived even down to taking our coats which is a gesture which is rare to find now. The service was of a high standard and even though we didn't have to wait ages for our food it tasted beautiful and fresh. We all had starters and mains with drinks and the bill averaged £17 each which was very good. Everyone commented on how good the food was and we will definitely be visiting again. A lovely relaxed atmosphere.
Duet Cuisine – Fort DunlopThe food was exquisite. The service was brilliant and the portions are very generous. I went for a birthday and the staff were very friendly and helped out with cakes and drinks. I am actually going back next week. Definitely recommended.
