Bombay Joes – CoventryDelicious home cooked meals at the restaurant all priced reasonably. Enjoyed chilling at the bar after the meal at the restaurants with some fantastic young dj's keeping me on my toes.Highly recommended.
D’ Kalabash Restaurant – CoventryI have never taken the time out before to write a review, however after the frankly shocking experience myself and a friend had yesterday, I felt this needed to be shared so people can avoid this place like the plague.I ordered a large kebab meat and chips and a piece of cod, i noticed the server had practically bitten her nails off and stunk of cigarettes all the staff looked grubby with stains and marks on their clothes and were lacking ordinary quickness, when i got home i realised that they had only give me a small kebab meat so i phoned to explain the problem, i was passed to 3 different people who were all rude and unwilling to help or apologise in anyway whatsoever, it was only an incorrect portion size but the staff acted as though they were being accused of a deliberate act and were over defensive. They have zero people skills and absolutely no idea what the term 'Customer service' means. To top it off, when i arrived home with the food the bag was actually leaking oil, this had seeped through a polystyrene tray, several layers of paper and pooled in the bottom of the carrier. I told the children where the food was from
Mr Chips – KingstandingBrilliant pub, lovely food
The Hadcroft – StourbridgeAfter finding the restaurant by chance on this website phoned and booked it,it was a very busy Saturday night but we were showed to our table and looked through a fantastic menu of which you are spoilt for choice, service and food was faultless, and you were'nt rushed at all will definitely go again and will recommend to all my friends...thanx again Rachael x
Il Michelangelo Restaurant – Brierley HillI recently held my 40th birthday party at La Plancha ..and couldn't have wished for it to be better. The food was fantastic, staff were attentive and the atmosphere made it the best birthday ever! I will definately be going back to La Plancha time and time again ...it is a little gem of a place and well worth a try if you've never been (I really can't praise it enough!).
La Plancha Spanish Tapas and Cocktail Bar – MoseleyOn the back from town, taxi driver recommended us, surprised to find it open was around 1. Great atmosphere inside, food was excellent we couldn't finish it all the portions were very good. Definitely go again
Curry Garden – ErdingtonBeen going with family since a little boy, retained original decor, excellent service. One of the best Indian food ive tasted. highly Recommend one of the best Original restaurants in Birmingham, it's the only one that's open late after midnight
Curry Garden – ErdingtonI have been to this restaurant 3 times now (in 3 weeks) and it is absolutely brilliant. Decor is definitely not tacky (it's all a question of taste). The food really is extremely good - the garlic chilli chicken is the best I've ever had. It is unbelievably good value and you can even take your own booze, which is very unusual for a licensed place. The restaurant does have a very good wine selection though and the draft lager is apparently better than most pubs - according to my husband (and only £2.50 a pint). The owner, Mr Shah, and staff are great and nothing is too much trouble for them. Lovely place all round. Their Christmas Day menu is too good to be true - I couldn't get my breath! It is still comparatively new but will soon be one of the most sought after restaurants in the area.
Jangles – Kings Heathbest indian restaurant in wolverhampton. good service.
Jivans Balti House – Wolverhamptonbest indian restaurant in wolverhampton. good service.
Jivans Balti House – WolverhamptonI went out to Fumo with a few friends for after work drinks last week. I liked the vibe of it – the plates are perfect sizes for sharing and the cocktails taste great as well! Helped me relax after a stressful day in the office! It’s only a few minutes away from New Street so was easy to get home after our drinks!
Fumo – Birmingham City CentreBeen going since it opened. I have gone with friends and work mates on different days and times and the food and service has been impecable. The owner has made us feel very special. The menu is varied which is lovely , I would deffo recommend and evening their as you will not be dissapointed as the restaurant is beautifully decorated. Try it and have a lovey orthentic night out !! B Suzanne
Jangles – Kings HeathDisappointed with this restaurant. the food was sugary and oily and all main dishes tasted the same. the tandoori chicken was touch and obviously had been reheated. To add insult to injury we were overcharged and the management refused to resolve this!
Light Of Bengal Restaurant The – KingstandingGood service no dressing on the salad garnish starter was nice but main meal was not good spaghetti de fruits de mer which sounded amazing but was basically spaghetti in tomato sauce with a shop brought seafood cocktail I could of created better it was stodgy thankfully it was a kgb voucher if I would of paid full price I'd av been very disappointed and had to ask for everything eg pepper parmesan won't be going back.
Pavarotti – SolihullSince Eugenio Cozzi took over this restaurant a few years ago I have seen it improve from good to outstanding, probably because excellence in a restaurant stems from the top, and Signor Cozzi clearly knows how to get the best out of his staff, perhaps because he has been a waiter and cook himself in the past, and still retains his enthusiasm for every aspect of the job – and consequently knows how to appoint good staff. That must be one reason why the waiters are unfailingly friendly and helpful, not only to me, a ‘regular (and by this I mean four times a week for lunch, and a few times a month in the evenings!) but equally so to those around me, some of whom are clearly first-timers; and the cooks are not only highly competent, but show imagination in attractively varying their dishes so as to please their customers As a diabetic, I could have found my choice limited, at lunchtime even by a menu whose range of choice is very generous at the price, but the staff make vigorous efforts to come up with something both suitable and enjoyable – and again I hear this happening to nearby customers when appropriate. I enjoy the ‘ambience’ as well as the food – the place buzzing with the noise of happy eaters, and friends meeting for a good gossip and to exchange news! What are my qualifications, you may ask, to pontificate like this? Well, I drive regularly to France, largely for the sun, the food and the wine, and find myself regularly in Beaune, Burgundy, whose restaurants are legendary, one of which, proudly sporting its ‘Bib Gourmand’, I have been patronising for 19 years. That is my yardstick! As a diabetic, I eat a lot of fish. I have paid a lot of money for fish in some distinguished restaurants in Burgundy, and I have yet to find a restaurant that can challenge Gino’s in this respect. We ‘afishionados’ are lucky to live in Birmingham, whose fish-market is as good as any in the realm, but, to get it, a restaurateur has to go regularly at crack of dawn and know the best stalls to visit and what to look for, and one who does is called Gino Cozzi! I have enjoyed superb lobster, halibut and sea bass, a la carte at Gino’s. I have also eaten equally memorable sardines for a starter on the lunch menu. As befits an Italian restaurant, the pasta is equally memorable for its range and excellent quality. Whatever the dish, its presentation is always a pleasure to the eye, and the service almost always fast and efficient. I write ‘almost’ because the staff are human beings, and when many customers, as they do, all want to come at about the same time and when the restaurant is nearly full, do not be surprised if, very occasionally, you have to wait a little longer than usual, or under extreme pressure the staff even get something wrong!
Da Gino – Sutton ColdfieldHave visited this restaurant several times over the past 12 months and it has been excellent each time . I am coeliac and have to avoid wheat, they have no problem in adapting recipes for me, I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
Da Gino – Sutton ColdfieldI visited this bar for the first time 2 weeks a go with a group of friends to catch up, it was the perfect setting for the occasion, the staff were great and the drinks were splendid, such a great vibe, I can't wait to visit again!
