Island Inn – West BromwichI thought Strada was excellent. I wish to revisit time and time again. The service was friendly and helpful
Strada – Birmingham City CentreI would highly recommend the chicken and mushroom pies!
This Is Bedders – Birmingham City CentreVery nice.
Oasis Tandoori Restaurant – ShirleyVery friendly staff! They'll make you anything you ask for! Delicious.
Oasis Tandoori Restaurant – ShirleyExcellent restaurant Service was attentive not over the top staff very knowledgeable and manager was exceptional and very welcoming. The food was out of this world esp. the Roquefort Ice Cream with the tart tartin amazing. The amuse was fab a leek and ham soup with parmesan foam and quails egg. most of all made me so welcome as by myself and not at all patronising as am young def worth many visits
Simpsons – EdgbastonBuffet lunch is surprisingly popular for very average food.
Pizza Hut – Birmingham City CentreI visited Iguanas with my 2 grown up sons a few weeks ago.. Though the service was a little slow the Raspberry Vodka Martini's kept us happy!! We had a selection of tapas.. The Calamari was cooked to perfection and if not fresh then very good quality, the garlic bread had a slightly burnt taste to it which although sounds awful was in fact delicious and added a wood oven authentic taste. The char grilled chicken nacho's were a feast too! To follow we had the yellow fin Tuna which even though it was overcooked was really tasty. The Rib eye steak was guarded closely by my son he admitted that it was as good as any eaten in Argentina!! The only disappointment was my asparagus salad which only had one spear of asparagus.. but then that serves me right for not picking something a little more adventurous!! All in all a wonderful meal and extremely good value for money and whilst the service was a little slow it wasn't a problem as the atmosphere was great. We will definitely be visiting again...
Las Iguanas – Birmingham City CentreMy friends and I love this restaurant, fantastic food at very reasonable prices, and walking distance from home. We also love the full size decorative tree in the middle of the restaurant - this is even more exciting when a few drinks have been consumed prior to dining!!!
Koh-I-Noor – Birmingham City CentreThe best meal out I have had in a long time. The staff were pleasant and attentive. The food was fresh and tasty. The live music was entertaining. Simply fab!
Valentinos – HarborneHad a meal for 19 people booked for late afternoon/early evening on a Saturday. Although the restaurant was very quiet, we could not recommend this place enough.. it certainly deserves to be more well known. All 19 meals came out at the same time, all cooked to perfection and complimented by very attentive service from the rest of the staff. The restaurant provides a wide and somewhat unusual selection, with a full italian and indian menu offered, at very reasonable prices too.. certainly value for money for food of this quality, and they had no problem catering for the children in our party either.
Duet Cuisine – Fort DunlopThe food was great and cheap! Very busy too considering we went mid-week for lunch.
Crosswells Inn – Oldburywe went to Jilabi recently for the first time the food was really nice with a good choice the staff were very helpful and polite and the restaurant it-self was spotless we will definitely be going again and have told friends to try it too.
Jilabi Indian Restaurant – SheldonWe go back this restaurant all the time as the food and staff are fantastic. The menu is exciting and changes regularly and the wine list caters for all tastes and pockets. This is the only good italian in the city that is excellent in all areas.
Cielo – Birmingham City CentreExcellent food, each time i go out for a meal 95% of the time we end up their. Going again this week.
Buffet Island – ErdingtonWhen I went to the Blakes barn I felt that there was a polite staff member waiting on by the name of Dan he was very polite, also was helpful with what it was I wanted to eat as I was unsure about what I wanted. When the food was brought to my table I enjoyed it so much I left a good tip
Blake Barn The – Sutton ColdfieldYanks here to visit family for 2nd time. Great meals on both occasions. Right on the canal. Must be great in the summer.
The Black Boy – KnowleThis restaurant is a real gem. Lovely location, with a terrific ambience and decor. The service is attentive without being intrusive, and the cuisine is to a very high standard. In fact, the weekday lunch set menu, with 2 courses for £ 6 or 3 for £ 9 is a steal. The a la carte menu is extensive, reflecting malaysian, Thai and chinese influences. Overall, a high quality restaurant that is definitely worth a visit.
