Standard Indian Cuisine – SandwellAkram's has attempted to carve a niche for itself by advertising itself as a KASHMIRI restaurant. The food, however, is remarkably similar to that on offer at other Balti restaurants. Having said that, Akram's scores highly on ambience, decor, service and the general quality of its food. If you are looking for a good Indian Balti experience at a decent price, I'd recommend Akram's.
Akrams Kashmiri – StirchleyAuthentic Iranian cuisine; very flavoursome and well presented. Quick, courteous service. Large portions too !!
Shiraz – EdgbastonIf you make return visits to a restaurant it usually means that you have been satisfied with the cuisine and ambiance. I also like to know that I can take friends there without worrying about whether we are going to be disappointed with the food or standard of service and that we are not going to be ripped off on the price of a bottle or two of wine. When I go to the Buonissimo, Harborne, I expect to enjoy a cosy evening of good food, good service and reasonably-priced wine in an intimate atmosphere. So far I have not been disappointed.
Buonissimo – HarborneThe ambience of this little restaurant was wonderful. The staff a delight without being overpowering and the food wonderful! The magnificence of my main was an absolute picture! A large plate of King Prawns, scallops, squid, Langoustines ,mussels & monkfish proved to be a seafood paradise!
La Fibule – MoseleyWhen you miss Iran, you can go to Shiraz restaurant, with so delicious food, welcoming manager & friendly place. I took my wedding party there, we had so nice time I never forget it. I recommend it to everyone who wants to enjoy food & know real taste of food.
Shiraz – EdgbastonThis restaurant has got to be by far the very best of the best. It was very quiet when we went in there on a Wednesday night with my wife and 2 children. We were welcomed by the owner? brother who was very helpful and polite. For starters we had chicken pakora, lamb tikka, seekh kebab, and lush tandoori fish! These starters were prepared by the owner himself. They were the best we've had ever. For mains I had a chicken tikka keema masala jalfrazee which had a lip licking sauce that i can still taste. My wife ordered a chicken tikka king prawns masala dopiaza which was extensively great! The kids had some onion bhajis that are served like onion rings. Peshwari nans here are undoubtedly the best, they are well filled and have golden syrup on top, you'll get dirty eating but its worth it. We now visit the Shabab twice a week. They are the 'Originators of Birmingham's Balti Triangle.'
Shabab – Balti TriangleI have been going to buffet island in Erdington for months now with both family and friends. Its a gr8 place. I had a birthday party there and it was gr8 fun. Thank you to all the management and staff
Buffet Island – ErdingtonBrilliant place, excellent owners. I've been there a few times with my family and with the owners son (i am a teenager). Im very good friends with both of the sons (sonny and ying) and am well known to the owners of this restaurant (lee huang and sue huang) so if anyone wants dibs on food there ask me :).
Buffet Island – ErdingtonI go to Spicewood? every month and the food I have is always the best. My best meal is called COMBINATION 3.love it. Have really bad cravings 4 it sometimes.
Spicewoods – SolihullExcellent food here. I have been using Imrans for over 15 years. Quality fresh cooked food. Recommend the sheek kebabs for starters and the chicken tikka balti. The Asian sweets are an acquired taste but once you get used to them they are irresistible. Very much a family run business with families in mind. BYO drinks but do try the Lassi (milk/yoghurt drink).
Imrans Restaurant – Balti TriangleThe Colebrook is a fantastic place to soak up the Solihull atmosphere whilst enjoying delicious, well prepared food and a pint of lager! If we ever get a sunny day, you can enjoy it outside!
Colebrook Inn – ShirleyThis is a great place to take your family out for a meal. I have been several times now and the staff are very helpful and make you feel at home. When you come in and when you leave they take the time to welcome you. Food is great and the variety especially the deserts (which I Love) is brilliant for the price. I would recommend this Restaurant to anyone...
Buffet Island – ErdingtonCurrently I am working my way through the menu! Everything so far has been delicious - lots of attention to combination of flavours, never greasy and attractive presentation of food. Staff have a great sense of humour - real helpful and attentive. My husband had NEVER been out for a curry - this was his first experience (at the age of 50) and REALLY enjoyed his meal.- didn't expect to! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!
B26 Food Of India – SheldonAre you hungry? Very hungry? Good. Then Molly's just might be the place for you! I can't remember who said that to eat well in England you should eat breakfast at every meal, but whoever it was must have been to Molly's (though she does more than just breakfast). This is no greasy spoon, it's a sparkling little gem. If you can get in - it's pretty small, and there are plenty of people who want to eat there: little old ladies, huge builders, skinny students - you'll be glad you made the effort. The Ulster fry breakfast, for example, is to die for. You probably will if you are not a sturdy eater. You get an enormous white china plate with really excellent bacon, white pudding, black pudding (optional) potato farl, soda bread, and loads of other good stuff. It's all of the finest, served rapidly by smiling ladies in long black skirts who look capable of organising a ceilidh band at any moment. Oh, just go there! It's on Kings Norton Green. Bring a big appetite.
Mollys – Kings NortonI have been to cafe Balti, number of times, with my family. I really like there £6.95 special offer, which I recommended to every one. There tikka massala is outstanding, and there jalfrezi is mouth watering.
Cafe Balti – SheldonExcellent value for money will be back soon.
La Nonna – SheldonVisited on several occasions. The decor is bright yet tranquil. Service is very good, but tops for quality of food. May not be the biggest portions, but superbly cooked, and wonderful flavours. Recommend the shaslick to start. Give it a try.
