Greyhound Inn At Saughall – ChesterOnce again have just got back from Chester and on Saturday night we had a meal and yet again was fantastic will definitely be going again next year
Blue Moon Cafe – ChesterTrev the pub landlord always offers service with a smile. Great great country local with good beers on offer.
Coach and Horses Inn – CreweHave been using the Greyhound for years and its closure in 2010 was a bitter body blow. However, it has now re-opened and is a wonderful venue for food or drinks. Both myself, my wife and friends have eaten there on quite a few occasions and we have all commented on how good the food is, faultless. The staff are very attentive and polite and nothing seems too much trouble for them. A Tuesday night 'specials' night has been introduced recently, we went to the inaugural 'curry' themed night a couple of weeks ago and it was delicious and different from what we were expecting. We have booked for the 'Italian' themed night soon. All at £12.95 for a three-course dinner - Not bad. The Greyhound is highly recommended - Give it a go.
Greyhound Inn At Saughall – ChesterMy wife and I were on holiday in the area and were recommended to come here and I'm so glad we did. We enjoyed some of the most excellent food we've ever eaten in a pub restaurant - a risotto with artichokes to die for and a tender chicken with delicious fresh vegetables. It was so good that we came back a second time. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and nice atmosphere. It's worth going out of your way to this place - it's that good. You really can't go wrong and hopefully will enjoy it as much as we did.
Greyhound Inn At Saughall – Chesterjust had the most wonderful experience with family party. food/buffet excellent, staff excellent, restaurant beautiful.
Holly Bush Inn – SandbachLoved it, loved it, loved it...... Had the XXXL monster burger (with pulled pork) and superb. Came with three members of my family and they all agreed with me. Great atmosphere and the food was stunning. Can really recommend this place to eat as the best in Chester that I have visited. Best wishes John
Hickory’s Smokehouse – ChesterWent for the express lunch which was amazing and very good value! The tagliatelle with duck was fab! We returned in the evening this month and were disappointed. We were put on an awful table right by the stairs but asked to move and we were so that was ok. The food was average, the starters were poor and rather tasteless. We ordered cheese garlic bread & it came minus the cheese! The main was cold and the veg were so over roasted so the point of being mushy! It was an expensive night at £30 pp plus wine and not worth it. Really disappointed as we loved it the time before. We would possibly return but just for lunch again.
Convivio – ChesterWe visited this restaurant after having several takeaways from here. The food was fantastic, the staff were friendly. The restaurant is run by two brothers and a few friends, this family run restaurant goes the extra mile to ensure that every customer is happy. The younger of the brothers came over to our table to ensure we were okay. It wasn't over priced as we were allowed to bring our own drinks. I think i have found my new local curry house. Keep up the good work.
Vindaloo Indian Restaurant Contemporary Cuisine – PrentonVisited after a day at Chester Zoo thanks to recommendations from this website. What can I say - great beers, & really excellent flood. Wished we lived locally. I had a steak & ale pie, with lovely fresh veg- chantel carrots, leeks, sweet red cabbage & lovely creamy mash, my wife a chicken & ham pie - both were large with a fine pastry top. Our 3 kids were impressed by the mussels & chips - a real creamy wine sauce & big thick chips, obviously double fried - golden on the outside & fluffy inside - these were the best chips I have tried in a long long time. This pub is a real find, i don't normally write a review but this pub is exceptional - real quality food, & well kept beer you won't be disappointed and well worth a diversion.
Bunbury Arms – ChesterExcellent food lovely dining room and bar area very good staff. A thoroughly good night out.
Spirit Restaurant – WarringtonI had lunch at the Farmers Arms on Aug. 15th 2011 along with 3 other people. We all chose from the a la carte menu. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals and the portions were generous. The staff were attentive and friendly and we shall certainly return again. It's possibly the best pub meal I have ever had.
Farmers Arms – NantwichThis is an excellent restaurant and well worth visiting. The food was fantastic and we have eaten in hundreds of Indian restaurants. The staff were a joy. They were extremely welcoming and very friendly. They provided comfortable and elegant surrounding and speedy service. There is nothing negative about Vatikka and we are going again tonight. Go, you won't be disappointed!
Vatikka Indian Restaurant – WidnesWe’ve been 3 times now in the short time that it re-opened - what an improvement now that it’s under new management. There is a nice, friendly atmosphere, lovely staff (nothing is too much trouble for them) and to top it all off, the food is amazing. We’ve eaten at the weekend, mid week and yesterday went for Sunday lunch. Would recommend to anyone thinking of trying it – you won’t be disappointed.
Greyhound Inn At Saughall – ChesterI have used coffee traders for some time now and find that the service is excellent nothing is too much trouble for the staff, even to changing the contents of meals to suit as requested. Free Filter coffee refills a bonus in these times. Meals have always been fresh and well presented. Decor is muted tones and sits very well in the friendly atmosphere, there are many repeat customers. Make sure your early for lunch as it get extremely busy and can result in waiting with people cutting out of the door. What can I say, anywhere that people are willing to cue to get a place at a table has to be good. A little pricey but the quality and service make up for it. Appeals to couples and families alike and less for the teenagers who opt for more gregarious coffee establishments.
Coffee Traders – MacclesfieldWe visited A La Turka for the first time last night and highly recommend it to all. The waiting staff are warm and friendly and the atmosphere is effervescent. I am not well versed in Turkish cuisine however with a little recommendation from the waiter (who was Turkish) I had the slow roasted paprika lamb. It was served in an elaborate egg/batter shell which rice and vegetables. I couldn't finish it, but certainly wanted to because it was delicious. My partner had the lamb mixed grill, which he described as succulent and mouth watering. If you like lamb you will be well catered for at A La Turka however there are good fish and vegetarian options on the extensive menu. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. We are already planning our next visit and can’t wait to introduce our friends and family to the Stockton Heath’s little corner of Turkey.
