I don't do long reviews....if you like tapas type food and warm friendly atmosphere and a great pint of lager go, if you don't give it a swerve.
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallWe couldnt praise CDJ highly enough. This place has the vibe of an upmarket city centre venue with food to match. Everything that we ate was bursting with flavour and the textures were to die for. The meal was great value, certainly compared to dining experiences that I have had in much more expensive venues. We will be going again without a doubt.
CDJ Riverside Bar and Kitchen – DarwenAnother absolutely beautiful meal, really couldn't fault anything at all, the food was delicious and perfectly cooked, and served by a fantastic team. We will definitely be back, in fact I'd come every day if I could!!
Papa Luigis – ChorleyLunch Time Vist on Sat 5th April 25, 1.30pm. (Family of 4 adults) From the moment we walked through the door we received excellent service. Staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Food was delishious and piping hot and arrived quickly. Even though their was another large party in at the time. The plan was to have starters and a main meal from the afternoon menu as the price for a starter and main was too good to miss. Plan backfired as the desserts looked too irresistible and they did not disappoint. Would highly recommend.
Papa Luigis – ChorleyMy son and I had Sunday lunch at Papa Luigi's and, as usual, thoroughly enjoyed it. It's my favourite go-to place and I look forward to my next visit.
Papa Luigis – ChorleyWe had an excellent dining experience at the Lunesdale Arms. A friendly welcome, good service and delicious food. Will certainly be back.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleYet again another outstanding meal at CDJs! New Spring menu is fabulous: would highly recommend the beef rib, the lamb and the prawns. As for the custard tart, well, that was just next level! We will be back again very soon!
CDJ Riverside Bar and Kitchen – DarwenFabulous food as always. The specials are always a delight. The service was impeccable. This is a tapas style menu so the food comes out when it is ready which ages it interesting. I would say that 6 dishes between two is more than enough. It does get very noisy though, especially upstairs.
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallReally happy with the quality of food and service, plus the view was beautiful. Thank you!
The Shepherds Rest Inn – TodmordenReally lovely venue and atmosphere. Good choice of various drinks to choose from. We had two sharing platters with friends which were lovely and had products from local suppliers such as Handley’s pies and Dewlay cheese. The ham was also very tasty. A lovely way to spend the afternoon in the chilled town of Chorley.
Rileys Taproom and Wine Bar – ChorleyFantastic meal here. Third time I've been. Food is great and service is good. The Cannelloni is my favourite.
Siena – RossendaleGreat food, attentive staff. Friday evening possibly not the best time for us to dine - noise level made any conversation impossible. Even staff were struggling to communicate with each other! Some drinkers even started singing which wasn’t at our invitation! We will continue to eat here but never on a Friday evening again.
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallExcellent setting, food and service was great No problem fitting us in with 2 dogs
