Zen – West DerbyMy hubby & I enjoyed an early evening meal at fat mommas on 16 11 10. Super garlic bread ,sufficient for 2 people was followed by delicious cajun chicken linguine and gorgeous chicken & mushroom penne pasta with marsala sauce. Sooo tasty. Lovely environment for a tea time treat & attentive staff. Comfy seating & good variety of desserts. Management appreciative of comments and offered complimentary glass of wine before bill paid ! Would recommend as a place for relaxed dining. Give it a try, we will most certainly be visiting again.
Ella Grill – BirkenheadThis place is a contemporary fusion of Far East and South East Asian food. The menu has a bit of imagination and is a welcome change from the predictable offerings elsewhere. There is a lively atmosphere with well intended staff. Speciality diets are genuinely attempted to be accommodated.
Host – Liverpool City CentreThe Ying Wah has been our family favourite restaurant for almost 20 years! Never had a bad meal there, staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Visit before 7.30 for reasonable family banquets (prepare to ask for leftovers!) And if any of you party don't fancy Chinese, they do fabulous steak!
Ying Wah Restaurant – WooltonThe food was gorgeous and the service was lovely
Greek Taverna – WaterlooThis is the best Indian restaurant I have been to in Liverpool by a mile. It is the only restaurant I have been to in Liverpool where the menu reminds me of being back in India. The food is cooked beautifully, service is excellent with very helpful staff and the setting is very pleasant.
Maharaja South Indian Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreWe found this restaurant by luck and decided to give it a try. It turned out to be a hidden gem. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. We couldn't say enough good things about this place. Try-it you won't be disappointed. We loved this restaurant.
Akshaya – Liverpool City CentreI would never ever recommend this takeaway, sorry restaurant to anybody in a million years. I am actually bemused at the fact that there are good reviews written here on this website and was extremely surprised that the place was actually busy. Beside from it looking like a takeaway with waiters dressed in jeans and trainers the food was despicable. We ordered a hot and cold starter to share as it was recommended by the waiter. Cold starter was four dips and some lettuce. RIDICULOUS!!! the hot starter, baring in mind to share was 1 calmarie, 2 chorizo sausages, 1 tomato, 1 meatball, 1 tiny piece of gammon which wasn't cooked properly and 1 bit of chicken. Both of these starters cost £6.90 each. I wouldn't have paid a pound for them. For the main meal I ordered a chicken kebab with boiled rice and Diane sauce, and I couldn't believe my eyes when i saw what I had been given. 2 chicken breasts on a barm cake, Packet rice and the Diane sauce had a whole onion sitting in it. My boyfriend ordered sea bass which looked half decent as where his chips. But he got veg with his, which was tinned carrots. Both of us left nearly all of our food as we felt physically sick just thinking about it. We got a voucher for this restaurant which is why we went. And why we had never seen the place before. We will definitely think twice before doing this again as this cost us a whole evening, and money that could have been spent else where. Oh and by the way, I am not some middle age woman who likes fancy restaurants. I'm a 21 year old girl who has just finished University.
Retsina Greek Restaurant – West DerbyI recently went down to Liverpool to watch a football match and through recommendation from my hotel, me and a group of friend found ourselves eating at Akshaya and thoroughly enjoyed the food, I would recommend the chicken briyani. The service was excellent and the waiters were friendly.
Akshaya – Liverpool City CentreHaving read the previous reviews I feel a little bemused as what people call great, excellent, amazing food..... must be the owners what keep updating the reviews to get you in there because I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Bought an offer off the Groupon website and was really looking forward to going from these reviews. The food was awful, got a cold and hot sharing starter and somehow they think one calamari ring is enough to share! My girlfriend got a chicken kebab for main and it consisted of the toughest overcooked chicken on a huge barm cake?? Whats that about! My sea bass came with tinned baby carrots, some fine dining. I’m not joking when I say I’ve had better food from a fast food place after a night out!! Safe to say the dog didn’t get a goody bag as I think he would have turned his nose up.
Retsina Greek Restaurant – West DerbyWe go to Ruis with my grandad when we go to the football match. We love the tapas. It is the best restaurant in the world. We always have a great time, and the food is brilliant.
Ruis – BootleThe place was great, food was great but they spoiled it all at the very end by trying it on with the bill, I was with my girl who i have been with for 2 years but they maybe thought It was our 1st or 2nd date and I wouldn't say anything but they where barking up the wrong tree, I was gutted because we knew they did it on purpose and so did they & now we will never go back there again, such a shame and it spoiled our experience in Chung Ku and let them down in my opinion .
Chung Ku – Liverpool City Centrei go to this restaurant every Christmas eve with my young son and my friend. the food is superb and the staff are very very friendly and nothing is to much trouble. it is a lovely friendly atmosphere.
Eastern Diner – Mossley HillI saw the 40% voucher and thought I'd give it a try. The meal turned out to be fantastic. I had seared orkney scallops which was very fresh and nicely cooked as my starter. My main meal was Cumbrian lamb rump which was really juicy and tender! My friends and I enjoyed the meal a lot and would highly recommend it to others.
PANAM Restaurant & Bar – Liverpool City CentreAbsolutely delicious food - starter wonderful, but unfortunately, .main course served on cold plates and serving dish also cold. This meant that I could not finish the meal, even though I wanted to, because all the food had gone cold. Easy to rectify - just serve the meal on hot plates and dishes!
Khrua Thai Orchid – HeswallI celebrated my 40th birthday with all my family at Prego. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. Starters and main courses were delicious and well presented. Staff were very helpful and considerate and nothing was too much trouble. They presented the cake that we had brought with a musical accompaniment and a complimentary drink (shot) for the birthday boy. We will definitely come again as our family were very impressed with the whole dining experience.
Prego Restaurant – AintreeWent last night after reading good recommendations. Very enjoyable meal. Shared the cold platter of dips and olives to start, a good size portion for 2. Main meal I had chorizo and chicken pasta and hubby had burger with home cooked chips. So full couldn't attempt the desserts, though will try next time as all sounded very tasty. Staff very pleasant and not obtrusive. Give it a go, sure you wont be disappointed!
