The food was pretty good but they had ran out of fish.. the menu is limited. Very understaffed also paid our bill and left with our plates still on the table.

Boogalu – Northern QuarterThis was our first visit to the Gatehouse after hearing a good review, Quirky decor and a good mixture of customers regular ones and new. There were couples and families. work mates, friends and a first date too. We bought our drinks and once seated perused the exciting, unusual menu . We opted for papadums, bhaji's a samosa chat a Khari and a yummy Sag aloo. it was all very nice( only the bhajis were a bit dry ) its best not to lie and be true. Yummy sticky toffee pud with cardamon sauce. 3 pints of IPA and a visit to the Loo. Food drink and service was fine, we had a great time. We'll soon be back to see you. Thanks.
The Gatehouse Ale & Aloo – WorsleyFood was nice and had a great time. One of the waitresses was great but it felt like she was doing everything herself. There was a few members of staff chilling at the bar with guests while the waitress was rushed off her feet. Food came out way before we got our drinks and we had to ask for cutlery. Best food was the Thai chicken tacos the lamb birria quesadillas, also the pork nachos were lovely. Think just teething issues but great food and would come back.
Boogalu – Northern QuarterWe visited a week after opening and the atmosphere was great. We were seated fairly promptly and shown to our table. The tables upstairs are positioned very close together although we didn’t mind too much. Our drinks order was taken almost immediately however these didn’t arrive until after our food which was a shame. The food was delicious and really flavoursome. We had to order more as we were still hungry and we did comment about the portion sizes being a little on the small side, especially for the price. A number of tables, including us, had to ask for cutlery. I think these should be on the table as standard - it saves the waiting staff a job if nothing else. The restaurant was very busy which was great but it was a bit odd seeing the chefs deliver food to the table, especially when the waiting staff were hanging around at times. Apart from the feedback above, I couldn’t really criticise the service we received, although the table next to us hadn’t received any food or their drinks the entire time we were there (almost 2 hours) and they were clearly v unhappy. We only noticed this because of how close the tables were. The main let down for us was the price. Even with 50% off the food, we felt it was very expensive for what we had, although that seems to be fairly standard for Manchester now. We were expecting larger portions and we left feeling as though we could eat more. For that reason, we probably wouldn’t return as it didn’t feel like it was value for money. This is a real shame because the food was lovely.
Boogalu – Northern QuarterExcellent, extensive menu, great atmosphere, attentive staff, would definitely recommend.
La Sentidos Loca – WiganFirst time visit, will not be the last. What a gem of restaurant, warmly welcomed as we entered and shown to the table I had pre-booked. The staff were fantastic, very attentive but not to the point of bothering you. Food was amazing, we had the lamb and the streak burger, both cooked to perfection. Pudding were also very good, with a good choice, Apple strudel was fab! I would definitely recommend this place as somewhere to try, you will not be disappointed!!!
Crowded House – BuryGreat food, good atmosphere. All round really lovely experience
Gnammy Italy – StockportThe food was great, would have been nice if there was more. Went twice with different groups and we got three tacos one night and then when I went next we got two? I think for the price, three would be a good point to go for. The upstairs atmosphere was great, enjoyed the live dj and the place in general. Would have preferred not to be on high chairs to eat as I feel they're more bar like, but doesn't matter all that much and I did notice a dog on the sofas that someone had brought in so I'm glad I wasn't eating by them. Food would be higher because it tasted great but a lot of things had run out and the portions were small too. Overall think it was good and would probably try it again after it's been open a while to give chance for teething issues in supply an portions to sort out.
Boogalu – Northern QuarterA lovely evening. Delicious food, great service and a wonderful atmosphere. Mario was a fantastic host and it was certainly good value for money. Thank you.
Mario’s Pizzeria Ristorante – Rochdale10/10 always. Staff are lovely. Food is amazing and there’s no Italian like it, will never stop recommending to people

L’Aquila Sunny Bank – BuryWe visited on 9th March. We have been here on a number of occasions just the two of us and also with friends and we have never been disappointed. The food is absolutely beautiful and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We would like to say keep up the good work and we will see you very soon. xxx
The Rising Moon – HydeA Saturday afternoon visit with my husband and my Mum before Mothers Day. Service is always good and this visit was no different. Staff are efficient and pleasant. On this occasion my main was disappointing. The order arrived and was wrong, this was corrected without fuss but the pasta was then too al dente and stuck together. It’s usually my favourite dish here but the pancetta was very fatty which was off putting. My husband enjoyed his pasta dish and my Mum’s pizza was ok. The cannoli were delicious as always. Perhaps it was an off day, shame as we usually enjoy the whole experience.
Cafe Italia – BoltonGreat food as usual. Owner even offered to make a dish that wasn't on the menu if we wished. Top class
Arnero – Manchester City CentreExcellent, good value, great atmosphere and service
La Sentidos Loca – WiganOur second time here and just as good as the first, the staff were lovely and on the ball, a great selection of cocktails, and the food absolutely delicious; last time we shared a selection of mezze but this time wanted to try something different so started with feta borek and chicken livers, then lamb and chicken iskender and prawn casserole, rounded off with baklava. Superb!
Anatolian Grill – PrestwichBig fat won’t come again
