Cafe Italia – BoltonWe tried Chakalaka for the first time for Sunday tea with friends and it was great. The food was lovely and very good value for money. The staff were attentive and service was very quick. Overall the atmosphere was nice and relaxed - we really enjoyed it and will definitely be back!
Chakalaka – Manchester City CentrePersonally we had a great experience dining here on 15/11/21. We were given a choice of table on arrival after having booked previously online. The staff were attentive and friendly. Our main course of steaks were cooked just as we had requested. We would certainly go back on another occasion and recommend others to go.
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreWe (4) booked a pre-theatre meal last Saturday 16/11/21. Had booked online. What a disappointment. Incredibly slow. Staff didn’t seem to have been allocated to specific tables and so it was very disorganised. Manager blamed staff but needs to get a grip. Had to remind our drinks order 3 times before we got them. My starter (mushrooms on toast) was very cold and bland. Husband didn’t get starter until after we’d finished. Garlic bread which we’d asked to come first came after we’d finished starters and was undercooked, as was the main course pizza which also came long after other mains. Far too many bookings had been taken at same time and kitchen couldn’t cope. Our bill included many drinks we’d not ordered/had. When removed, still very overpriced. Shan’t be going again.
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreWe went on Saturday night for a meal for 5. As always it was fantastic. Myself and my husband are regular diners at Crowded House, we love the food and drinks but most of all we love the relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant and staff always make us feel like we are part of the family, VIP members of the family! Its relaxed with 5 star food, drink and service. If you want to go somewhere and not feel rushed then this is the place for you.
Crowded House – BuryWe ordered the chateaubriannd for two., cooked rare - it was one of the best steaks that we have eaten. Perfectly cooked, and served with chunky fries and vegetables. An excellent selection of desserts. An excellent meal in a quiet location - recommended
The Boathouse Pub & Kitchen – WiganWe've been here a couple of times in the last couple of weeks, one with work friends, one with family. On both occasions we had a great time. The staff are super welcoming and so friendly. The menu has a great selection and the food good. Good flavours, tasty, fresh and really worth a visit. It's not a big place but we visited early evening on both occasions and there were no issues getting tables, it did get full later on in the evening. Would really recommend to try some South African food.
Chakalaka – Manchester City CentreRelatively small menu but a good range of options in starters, mains and desserts. I had the superb lamb rump on my first visit and even came back all the way from Portsmouth to taste it again! Lovely friendly, relaxed atmosphere and not surprised that they are often fully booked. Next trip up will be for Sunday lunch.
Fat Loaf – SaleFirst time for a while, however not the last. Excellent value set menu with superb service. Difficult to beat. The choices on the set menu are much wider than you would expect. We both had the fish dishes and were not disappointed ? For puddings my wife had the Affogato while I settled for the Tiramisu. We will be back for sure
Ciao Ristorante – StockportFabulous food
Amma’s Canteen – ChorltonWe came here for lunch to celebrate my birthday with a friend I'd not seen for years. It was quite a special occasion. I ordered the soup on the board, halloumi cheese in honey, jerk chicken on nachos and Indian fishcakes. I don't like to give negative reviews, especially as there have been so many good ones but this lunch was pretty awful. The soup on the board wasn't the soup they'd made, which was a shame as chestnut soup sounded gorgeous. The halloumi cheese was average...two huge chunks of it really isn't for me but might be good for someone else. The jerk chicken had no sign of ackee which I was looking forward to trying and it didn't have a jerk flavour and was frankly quite greasy. Again though it might have been someone else's cup of tea. Lastly though, the Indian fishcakes were absolutely disgusting. I put my fork into one and it crumbled into a cold wet fishy mush that had the same texture as mashed tinned salmon-except it was green! I can't make any excuse for that. No crispiness on the outside, nothing that resembled a fishcake. I wasn't going to post a review but I received an email asking me to. Sorry but this was not nice at all. Saying all this, the waitress was absolutely amazing and did knock off the price of the fishcake abomination.
Crowded House – BuryFantastic food and service!! Will definitely be back
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreVisited Antalolian Grill quite often. That’s recommendation I.e. repeat visits. Nice staff team and nice food
Anatolian Grill – PrestwichVisited Antalolian Grill quite often. That’s recommendation I.e. repeat visits. Nice staff team and nice food
Anatolian Grill – PrestwichI often meet friends here for a catch-up over sharing boards and drinks and the place has never once let me down. Cosy and intimate but with a high-quality menu which is always interesting and delicious. The cocktails and variety of drinks available is equally excellent. Would strongly recommend.
Crowded House – BuryVisited for the first time a few weeks ago and been coming practically every week since. The atmosphere is good, the food is out of this world and the service is excellent. It has become my new favourite restaurant. Highly recommend
Anatolian Grill – PrestwichA liccle gem in A.o.M! Always best to have a small but well rounded menu packed full of authentic fresh flavours rather than reams of stiff from the freezer. The scotch egg was a dream starter and the sea bass to follow had a wonderful caper infused broth. Great value, nice intimate venue, friendly staff. Will get back soon.
