Croma – DidsburyGood food and warm , welcoming atmosphere. Staff friendly and attentive. Clean and good standards. Recently taken over, doing a great job or would have been yet another local pub shut down .
Queen Anne Gastro Pub – BuryAbsolutely beautiful. One of the best Italians I have been to in a very long time. The staff are so welcoming and polite. The food is gorgeous. I would 100% recommend Mazzo's.
Mazzo – RoytonLovely place to eat, especially the Meze for indecisive people like me. Cocktails are lush, and the staff are really polite
Olive & Vine Dimitris – DidsburyWe visited Dhanak Deira today at 18:15. Restaurant was quite to start with as one table of 3 was engaged when we got there. Soon it started filling up. Starters were good n wholesome. Speciality dishes like Nihari n Haleem were made authentically but were just warm. Informed the waiting person to turn on the burners, which he did. Lamb n Chicken Karahi dishes are actually dry masala dishes (not with runny gravy/curry). Biryani was cooked well but just warm. The dessert section lets the restaurant down as cakes selection was good but dry (frozen cakes which normally do end up dry once defrosted n left for a long time). Gulab Jamans ordered were very chalky in taste n were asked to be warmed up in microwave as not in a gravy boat with burner underneath. Tables were quickly tidied upby waiting person (European girl) but crumbs on the carpet were not taken care off which showed neglect n carelessness. This can be easily corrected by investing in an electric sweeper which is quiet n discreet way of housekeeping. Other thing that the restaurant can invest in is microfibre cloth to clean their glass tables as this would put the sheen back into the glass as it cleans n polishes the surface at the same time. Additionally this cloth is machine washable at 60 degrees (available at Asda 4 for £1).. Overall, restaurant felt cold as there is no central heating (we are assuming here) as electric heaters were available on request. Dessert section to be reviewed n revised along with house keeping issues to move the restaurant to next level..
Dhanak Deira – BoltonWhat a find. Asked a knowing looking soul where best to grab a quick bite with wifi in the Northern Quarter of Manchester. Loved the menu, homespun American comfort food classics in a contemporary style. A real hearty portion of Sun Devil Scrambler was devoured. Will be forever my pitstop in the NQ.
Home Sweet Home – Northern QuarterLovely restaurant excellent food will be going again very soon.
Vida – SaleOne of Manchester's newest restaurants and we love it. Spanish food done properly in lovely surroundings. Well done Bandera.
La Bandera – Manchester City CentreThis restaurant was recommended to my wife so we thought we would give it a try and we were not disappointed. As we are quite partial to Indian food and like to try different restaurants so as to compare what they have to offer. This restaurant is not particularly well advertised, in fact seems to come up as a Take Away. It is situated on the main road and a bit on the small side, I only noticed one waiter, but he seemed to be in control of things and we were well looked after. As regards the food, compared to other restaurants the food in this place takes some beating so well recommended in our opinion. According to the owner it has only been open about 5 months and better advertising is in progress. They do have other restaurants in other towns in Lancashire. I would recommend booking a table due to the limited seating area.
Spice Bar – HorwichEverything about this place is right, very professional staff that you warm to instantly with a couple of faces from the past making you feel at home. This place ranks along with the best. A great experience that I will be trying again very soon.
Mazzo – RoytonExcellent food great location. Warm and welcoming service, could not ask for better quality.
The Strawbury Duck – BoltonCame for a meal at your restaurant the other night , we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and shall be visiting again in the near future.
Aamchi Mumbai – CheadleFirst order of leeroy..mint scran .fresh.fast and top people ..:)
Caribbean Nice & Tasty – SalfordWent here for my birthday with 4 of my family, we have been here a few times and again we were not disappointed. The staff are always very pleasant and efficient. We ordered from the Specials Menu and everyone enjoyed their meals. The food was well presented and very nicely cooked. Will definitely return, again.
Red Hall Hotel and Restaurant – BurySpecial day ruined! Avoid at all cost! Around the end of November we booked a christening reception for 8th February at the John Gilbert pub. We arranged we would be having a buffet and we would have exclusive use of the raised area in the pub as it was a nice sized space for the number of people we were expecting and it gave us an element of privacy. The lady (I think she was called Becky) who dealt with us at the time took our details and wrote everything down. She told us not to worry about paying a deposit at the time and just pop in a week or so before the 8th of February to confirm our final numbers and our buffet choices, the pay a deposit. We decided to go and sort it a bit earlier on 7th January we went to pay for the buffet and confirm the details. The same lady who made our booking originally dealt with us again. As it turned out our party had been moved to different part of the pub that was far less suitable. All we were told was that the area we agreed on is now taken by someone else who already paid! NOT EVEN AN APPOLOGY. I cannot understand why anyone would do this!? As it was clear to see in their diary the party that has taken priority over us is no larger in numbers there seems no financial gain to the pub or even just a matter of fitting more people in better. We never received any phone call or other form of contact to question our intent of going ahead with the booking or to inform us of the change to the agreed arrangements. Imagine if we hadn’t of come in until 1st of February as advised!? Now due to the total unprofessionalism of the pub we have to find a new venue, have the already printed invitations reprinted and all our potential guests will be getting extremely short notice! This is without doubt the most disgraceful example of poor customer service and truly mighty feat to ruin such a special and important day for our daughter before it has even happened!
John Gilbert, The – WorsleyWe booked Fazenda via Sugarvine for our Christmas party and were very glad we did. We all had a fab time and would return.
Fazenda Rodizio Bar and Grill – SpinningfieldsI live in London but have visited First Chop twice and loved it so much am coming up again next week. Lancashire take on tapas and warm Lancashire hospitality greatly appreciated. Great food , hospitable staff and even friendly customers( including myself of course!) We had a great time and could highly recommend it. Looking forward to the next time!
First Chop – RamsbottomSpent New Year's Eve in cotes had a fantastic night the food was amazing the best meal we have had in a long time the service was excellent the waiting staff were very friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble the atmosphere was so good we stayed to see in the new year and were treated to complimentary champagne and New Years greetings from all the staff including the chef. We found the prices extremely reasonable especially the wine which was also lovely. Overall a fantastic evening will definitely be returning to my new favourite restaraunt and highly recommend it to anyone .
