Afternoon Tea At Radisson Blu Edwardian – Manchester City CentreFound this gem by chance and have returned again and again, food is excellent and is always hot and fresh, Staff always friendly and helpful the wines are good and reasonably priced as is the food, booking recommended.
Rozafa – Manchester City CentreAmazing recently built old style pub in the heart of uber contempory Spinningfields. Great outside space and I must say the best Guiness I can remember having. Didnt eat but will next time.
Oast House – SpinningfieldsHad a really good night friendly staff great food great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this place, not many like this one left. Thanks to all at the Standard.
Standard Indian Restaurant – UrmstonHad the best food experience with my husband in Georges on Saturday I had the chicken liver pate and fish pie for main, absolutely delicious. Definitely the best restaurant in area #greatfood
Georges Restaurant – WorsleyI visited Georges on the 25th of Jan full of anticipation having been a regular at the Milan for years. The first disappointment was on arrival to find that that our telephone reservation had not been booked. Perhaps an omen for the evening! My wife chose the Chicken liver pate, and I the Torched sardines which were both delicious. my wife then chose theSirloin steak which proved to be the worst steak she has ever had in a restaurant.! We were so disappointed with the whole experience that we did not have a dessert. We were served be a charming waitress who remembered a birthday party I had, with guests , at the Milan in May - an excellent experience I will not be repeating at Georges.
Georges Restaurant – WorsleyWe have become regulars in recent months and introduce friends to the restaurant as we find it perfect every time. Great food, friendly service and convivial atmosphere. Enzo the owner adds nice touches by making the effort to talk to his guests and is genuine and professional in his approach. As a general rule when dining out, when one thing goes wrong, it's easy to find further faults - pleased to say this has not been the case for us as the experience has been perfect every time - thank you and keep it going
Italia Mia – BuryMy friend called this restaurant tonight to book a table and was asked to ring back tomorrow at 12 as they were busy! She said no because she would be at work in a classroom and reluctantly passed over to a female who told her they were fully booked. Sorry you've lost a potential new customer.
Georges Restaurant – WorsleySmall and friendly restaurant, run by Ann and Adie. Food is excellent. The value is superb! Tuesday to Friday 3 courses for £12.95!! Freshly prepared food, great Hostess. Am a regular now and look forwrad to visiting. They arranged my 60th Birthday last year it was superb. My parents in law who are keen "Foodies" enjoyed it so much they have been with twice since. Thats some recommendation, as their usuall haunts are the Alma Lodge and the Wycliffe!!
Sapori D Italia – DentonI visited George's on NYE with 4 friends the service was amazing food outstanding it was relaxing the decor and ambience outstanding. It was only just completed with its refit from Milan. The entire experience was amazingWe have returned 5 more times for drinks and to celebrate a birthday we were made to feel so specialYes there are the more expensive choices but you can choose more affordable items alsoWell done xxxx
Georges Restaurant – WorsleyCalled for Lunch (on spec).Soup-Lovely. Salmon in Sauce- (To Die For). Very satisfied.
Waggon and Horses – StalybridgeGreat food, good choice, good service. Good choice of wine too xx
The Fat Bull – WiganVisited at the weekend. My daughter (age9) ordered off the children's menu, macaroni cheese and was very disappointed. It was spinach pasta ie green with some mushrooms thrown in just for good measure. The cheese sauce was somewhat scarce and flavourless. This would not go down with most kids. I shared a ribeye with my other daughter. Skin on chips are plain lazy and should be banned. The diane sauce was a bit thin but ok. My husband had the fillett which was the best meal by far.The staff were pleasant enough though.
Georges Restaurant – WorsleyAmazing food, great people, such a nice atmosphere, I cant recommend this highly enough, it really is that good.
The Neighbours Chef – OldhamI visited here on Thursday 4th January 2014. I didn't eat as I've eaten in the past and felt I was being rushed. However I did notice that the disabled toilets were in a very poor state, no door lock, no toilet roll and the alarm was inoperable. I very politely complained and got a response from a director of the Almond Group, slandering and defaming me as an offensive, aggressive and loud drunk with whom the pub have had "difficulties" in the past. All of these comments were lies aimed at discrediting me. Hardly a very professional way of dealing with my complaint. I also took a flat, tasteless pint of beer back to the bar and was not offered a replacement. Needless to say, my relationship with this establishment has ended and my friends and family are so appalled that they are also boycotting it from now on.
Fletchers Arms – DentonI visited Georges last night with a friend and was very disappointed by the whole experience.I had difficulty in choosing a starter but decided on the pate which was nothing special and very over priced. There are some unusual main courses to which you need vegetables at extra cost. We chose the salmon en croute for two people as it came with new potatoes. This was presented from a serving board in a very grand style by our waitress .I wish we had photographed our meagre offering which cost £32.50!!! Extortionate!! I have bought the same in M
Georges Restaurant – WorsleyWe recently went for a meal at Thornberries and from start to finish we were all very impressed with the restaurant, the staff and the food. We had a party of 8 and hadn't booked but we were seated straight away which was great. The starters and mains were all beautiful, nobody had any complaints, and the dessert was one of the best puddings I have ever tasted! When we got the bill I was impressed by the value of everything, it was much cheaper than I had expected. We will definitely be coming again!
Thornberries Bar and Grill – MiddletonLooking forward to this place opening later in the year. Their other pubs are spot on and the city centre needs a New Moon Vibe!
