Haigh Courtyard Tea Room and Cafe – WiganMyself and a group of friends decided to eat out to nandos last night, one of our favourite restaurants to visit which we do so quite often. Usually we have a very pleasant experience when having a meal here although yesterday I was extremely disappointed. On arrival we were greeted by a waitress who took our name and asked us to wait for a table which would be around 25 minutes, it was busy as it always was so we expected the waiting time. However we ended up waiting around 50 minutes altogether. We finally sat down and waited for our starters, my friends arrived soon after but mine was not to be seen. After quite a long time of watching my friends enjoy their starters I finally decided to ask a waitress where mine was. She was very rude and abrupt in saying "they are making it now" however around 10 minutes later it still hadn't come and my friends mains had already arrived. I asked a different waiter this time about my starter and he went to check
Nando’s – DidsburyWent last night with my husband and two sons and daughter in law , was a bit apprehensive after reading. So many negative reviews , but It was a lovely night, the staff were really friendly and attentive , the food was extremely good and enjoyable ! Paid with tesco vouchers and There was no problem ! We are going again in a couple of weeks with our friends.
Lusitano – ChorltonSince the previous owner Ahmed as gone I`ve noticed the standards of a breakfast has gone downhill with the new owners. i.e you get cold beans.
Cafe Fresco – HulmeFantastic as usual, can't get enough of those chicken wings !!!
TGI Fridays – PrestwichI had heard mixed reviews of this restaurant, so decided to give it a try. However when we arrived the outside looked really disgusting, dirty paint work and in general need of a good clean. I know it is wrong to judge on appearance, but my thought was if they can't look afterthe outside, what is everything else going to be like. We didn't bother going in, we went to the Chinese down the road.
Pasquale’s Italian Restaurant – WiganIt sounds full of potential but it quickly leaves you when you hit the first pothole in the car park. The facilities for children are desperatly in need of updating. The surrounding gardens require a little more compassion. Haigh hall itself looks sadly neglected. The stables cafe serves possibly the most disgusting cup of coffee in England.. Extremely Disappointing.
Haigh Courtyard Tea Room and Cafe – WiganI have been many times food and service excellent
Just Thai @ The Village – UrmstonI recently visted Duttons and was pleasantly surprised, the location is great, the decor makes it a very comfortable place to be, the food looked good, although I haven't eaten here yet, I plan too! Great choice for a drink or two in Manchester.
Duttons – Manchester City CentreIt was the first time me and my husband visited this restaurant and it won't be the last time. The food was lovely and the staff were great, a real friendly welcome.
Puccini Pizzeria – SwintonLovely Italian, been twice now and the food is delicious. Hot fresh food and excellent service. Our friends go regularly and the quality is consistent.
Due Fratelli – ChorltonGreat place lovely staff, fantastic food steaks to die for.
Summat To Ate – WiganChicken was really smelly like cheesy feet or something avoid at all costs come to the jewl in the crown bury!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ruposhi Indian Restaurant – BuryVisited the Airfield Lodge today for the first time on recommendation of friends I can honestly say one of the worst places I have ever eaten, firstly the person who took our food order obviously didn't have the correct training on the till because kept messing the till up and asked us 3 times to repeat the order. We ordered starters and mains for five people we were the only ones there and after half hour still no food, was just about to complain when our mains were bought out we asked about the starters to be told that the person who took our order said that he thought we wanted the starters with our main meals. After a lot of apologies from a lovely young girl we said we would have our starters and mains together as she was very apologetic food was supposed to be home cooked food I don't think so. one of our five ordered scami with a jacket potatoes and got given chilli rice after complaining yet again they then bought out scami with chips and not jacket by this time were fed up so said nothing untill my mum ate the scampi which was raw and cold in the middle. Would definitely not eat here ever again.
The Airfield Lodge – EcclesHad a lovely meal with the grandchildren good friendly service A****
Charnley Arms – WiganThis was my second visit to this unique restaurant. Last time I was impressed with the Lobster and equally so this time, with my steak. Starters were also tiptop as was the house Rioja. Would recommend the hotel the restaurant is housed in, as a place to stay, if in Manchester too.
Steak & Lobster Manchester – Manchester City CentreMe and my boyfriend was recommended Annie's by a friend! But when she went Jennie wasn't there to greet her to much by my suprise she was when I visited! I went on a Sunday, the waiting area is gorgeous to have so e drinks and a catch up, as I went on a Sunday I thought I'd try the Sunday roast!! And the mash potatoe!! Oh my, amazing! Literally melted in the mouth, ill definitely be back for afternoon tea! Gorgeous restaurant with friendly staff x
Annies Restaurant – Manchester City CentreI dined here the other night alone as I wanted to check it out before returning with the family to use our Tesco reward tokens which I discovered are being accepted at the venue until mid August. I have to say that everything was perfect - the food, the service and the price. So much so that upon leaving I booked a table for five to celebrate a family birthday. I'm confident that my family including two children and a grandparent will be more than happy with the food and the atmosphere, especially since on the night in question there is live music. It is to be hoped that the Tesco trial will be extended as we would much prefer to support independent restaurants rather than the national chains.
