San Remo – AudenshawWell where do i start about the food. Below par food compared to the other Indian restaurants around city centre. starters were large portions enough for 2 people n the presentation was dire, overloaded with garden veg. the main courses were revolting and overpriced. i felt sick parting with my money at the end, definitely one to avoid. The manager n chef should taste what they're sending out..standards are shocking!!!
Bollywood Masala – Manchester City CentreWonderful traditional homely pub. Impressive wide variety menu and good price. However I'm vegetarian so had veggie cottage pie and was thoroughly disappointed, whatever herb was in this dish I just couldn't put my finger on but it was excessive and tasted bitter and spoiled it. Chefs think us veggies need more salt herbs etc etc but we don't I will return but never order that dish and hope that my next choice is a whole lot better!
Henry Boddington, The – Swintonjust attended a 50th wedding anniversary here, setting very pleasant with plenty of light from glass roof. staff friendly and well turned out.food on offer was tasty and visually good. this visit was a preset hot buffet style although the vegetarian offering was very limited one odd feature was the serving staff having to carry huge red hot vats of food right across the the middle of the party area with kids running round and people stood in their way - surely an accident could happen
The Vinery – CheadleAs an Italian who lives here and misses her home country food enormously I must say that at Per Tutti for the very first time since I moved over here 3 years ago (and after many disappointing attempts elsewhere) I finally had a proper Italian pizza! And not just an Italian one, a Neapolitan style one, thin but with soft edges! Delicious! I went to Per Tutti with about 10 Italian friends who heard of it by word of mouth (the restaurant is already a cult within all the Italians I know living over here) and we all rated the meal as "The Best Pizza Abroad" we ever had, and ended up chatting to the chef, Agostino, who turns out to actually be from Napoli! Forget all the rest of the menu and just go for a pizza: my favourite ones so far have been Al Cotto, Ercole and 4 Formaggi. I was additionally impressed by the dessert I tried (Tiramisu and Panna Cotta) and by the fact they've got Menabrea beer and even Aperol!!! Tried Per Tutti about 2 months ago and have been there nearly once a week since. I strongly suggest it to all who want to try a real Italian taste!
Per Tutti – Manchester City CentreJust back from a dinner at Zaytoon. It was our first time at Zaytoon and we left really really happy with our meal. We had baked aubergines and falafels for starters, followed by a vegetarian moussaka and a chicken dish for mains. All the dishes had fantastic flavours, good portions, nice service. The ambiance is very friendly. You can see that the owner is really proud of his business. We will definitely be back soon. Prices are very reasonable. We paid £35 for 2 starters, mains and a bottle of wine. What else do you want? It was a great tasty meal. Thank you.
Zaytoon – ChorltonAnother brilliant night at the Wayfarer last night (30 March). Food was excellent, service excellent, what more can I say. Keep it up
Wayfarer Restaurant – Wiganjust got home after early bird tea at blacksticks. my wife is a fully qualified chef and very fussy and critical every time we eat out. well done blacksticks you silenced her with your mouthwatering food friendly staff and great price early bird menu. we will definitely be returning. one tip i can offer is book because we was very lucky to get in not booking.
Blacksticks Restaurant – EcclesAte at Zaytoon on the recommendation of a friend last night and was bowled over. A combination of outstanding food (every single dish ordered at our table was a winner), comfortable, continental surroundings and attentive, helpful and lovely staff will have me coming back again and again. Great stuff.
Zaytoon – ChorltonWas gorgeous can't fault it was so nice I'd go every day if I could
New Far Pavilion – SwintonLovely place to grab some great Persian food locally. Small menu but good choice and really tasty, good portions. Not expensive and very relaxed, cafe/restaurant feel. Nice polite, friendly service!
Hafez Restaurant – SaleArrived at 7.25 for a 7.30 booking. We were seated straight away. Enjoyed the food but all courses were rushed and we were asked to leave the table as soon as we had finished the meal as they needed it. We will not be returning.
Istanbul Grill – PrestwichWe visited the restaurant for the first time on Friday evening. My husband is Italian, and we eat at many restaurants, and decided to try this one due to the favourable reviews. We was extremely disappointed and will not be returning! Firstly we was seated adjacent to the toilet entrance which was a very busy area, the restaurant was very noisy, seats too close together, and appeared to be a shortage of staff. Had one drink throughout the meal as couldn't get the attention of the waitress and wasn't approached for a refill either. Starter was not as described, should have been cheese with parma ham, got cheese with salami. Garlic bread inedible as burnt, overcooked to a crisp! Steak was ordered as well done, arrived still mooing, had to be sent back. Osso Bucco very fatty and drown in sauce so couldn't taste the vegetables. This is one of the worse Italian meals we have ever eaten and we will not be returning.
Ciao Bella Restaurant – Manchester City Centrewe have been to 90% of buffets in Manchester and this is by far the best 10 out of 10. the staff are also very friendly and it is very clean. the food is excellent always fresh and the tastiest in Manchester. brill. would recommend it to anyone.
Peking Court, The – Manchester City CentreBrilliant cafe, really friendly
Le Casserole – FailsworthI have eaten in this restaurant several times now. The food i have had was great for the whole family! Definitely welcoming to children and the staff were lovely. I recommend it.
Pomegranate Restaurant – DidsburyI bought a kgb deal and took my sister. Booked a table for 2 for 8p.m on saturday night. It was busy. 2 members of staff were serving tables!!!! We had to wait and wait and wait...then when we did get served the starter was brought without the pitta bread...we had to wait and wait and wait...i finally had to go and get it myself...when the main course arrived it was not very warm and undercooked. Food poison next 2 days. NEVER ever again.
Kosmos Taverna – FallowfieldVery disappointed I visited the high moor for a mothers day treat at 27.95 per head very over priced and over rated . Food under cooked manager very rude with no customer service training waited 90 minutes between starter and main meal and was told this was normal . Fist beef full of blood although I asked well cooked I was then told this is the way it is cooked here nothing we can do now . I asked to talk to the manager who was not very helpful and very rude and told me to phone in the week and talk to the owner . I have since tried to contact the owner and after several phone calls he is not available . DONT WAST YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME !!
