We ate here on our works do. I had fillet steak cooked medium rare and it was just beautiful! Peroni on draught at the bar is also a bonus. Great place and great food!

La Roma Restaurant – BoltonLong time since I've been to the Wellington - my how it's changed. The list of 'guest beers' is as long as your arm, the wine list looks to be a big improvement and the rooms are just as snug as before. Shame about the food though. The sausage and mash was okay apart from the just warm trio of bangers (hint: a bit longer in the microwave next time) and the open chicken and portobello mushroom pie could have done with more sauce in the pie and hot rather than luke warm and fresh rather than dry looking accompanying vegetables. As I said it's a long time since I was last in there - it'll be even longer before I venture back.
The Old Wellington – Manchester City Centreincentivised by the reward of a free bottle of house wine for reporting on our first experience of La Roma we returned a week to the day to see if our expectations would be met. The red house wine, a Sangiovese, was very nice just as the food we chose (a custom-made tuna steak and pollo marinato) were truly excellent. Combined with impeccable service our first impressions were confirmed as accurate rather than just a matter of good fortune.
La Roma Restaurant – Boltondouble tree was not like any ordinary Indian restaurant. the food was delicious, as it had its own unique flavour. The presentation of the food was to a very high standard and absolutely outstanding. the staff were helpful and adhered to our best comforts and needs, the atmosphere was warm I definitely recommend for any one who likes Indian food
Double Tree Indian Restaurant – AltrinchamI can recommend this place for a number of reasons: Amazing home cooked food Wonderful couple who run it Cheap THE BEST COFFEE IN MANCHESTER! (I am a coffee expert and i have not found a better espresso in Manchester.) Highly recommended to both eat of just go and sit for a while with a nice coffee. Bear in mind, that as the food is cooked to order, it may take a few mins to arrive. I don't see this as a problem. Well worth the wait! In fact, I'm going there again now...!
Nectar Bistro – ChorltonVisited this restaurant after searching through Sugarvine, and so glad we did. This is no "ordinary Italian" restaurant, bordering on the fine dine experience, and a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere I could recommend highly enough. The staff were very attentive and the food delightful. A great addition to Bury. Well done guys
Santino Restaurant – BuryVisited this restaurant after searching through Sugarvine, and so glad we did. The pizza in this is what I call a real Italian pizza experience, it had every topping you can think of, and my partner had the pasta which was such a generous portion she (& I) couldn’t finish it off! It has a very relaxing atmosphere, and the staff were very attentive and the food was delightful, I couldn’t praise them enough. A great authentic Italian restaurant to visit in Bury.
Veronas Restaurant – BuryExtremely Good! I took my staff for Christmas dinner and it was excellent. It was Friday evening and packed to the rafters but despite this we were served promptly, professionally and cheerfully. Ok it was a straightforward Christmas Menu that we had chosen but the food was faultless. Well done guys, we'll be back!!
The Grill On the Alley – Manchester City CentreAte at the double tree last week, a few days after it first opened. the food was excellent and the service was very attentive and staff were very helpful. They were very obliging when I asked for dishes to be less spicy. The surroundings were sophisticated and loved the crockery and cutlery. I would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys Indian food.
Double Tree Indian Restaurant – AltrinchamWe visited the Double Tree this Saturday following a recommendation from my parents. We were not disappointed, the food was delicious, tasted very fresh and not at all greasy. It was also great value for money. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. The decor is beautiful throughout (even in the toilets!). We will definitely be returning soon.
Double Tree Indian Restaurant – AltrinchamI recommend everything on the menu, I recommend the ambience, I recommend the service and the staff are so attentive and are actually eager to ensure you have a great night. This is a little bit of heaven in Westhoughton. Without fear of contradiction I highly recommend Andiamo's. My only concern is that it becomes so popular I cant get a table.
Andiamo – WesthoughtonMy family and I regularly go to the Chinese Delight. Ben, manager and owner, runs a fantastic restaurant. I have always been a fan of Chinese food and have tried numerous Chinese restaurants in Manchester and the surrounding area but Chinese Delight is my favourite. The menu has a good variety including dishes that are unique to Chinese Delight. The food is wonderfully fresh and hot. My favourite dishes are fish based and these are cooked perfectly - especially the scallops and king prawns! Ben and his staff are a great laugh and very efficient. And an added bonus is that there is free parking. I would recommend Chinese Delight to anyone who enjoys good tasting fresh food.
Chinese Delight Restaurant – BoltonA group of 8 of us went to Giorgio's after the Theatre this weekend. An absolutely lovely restaurant offering everything you could want from an Italian. We were shown to our table straight away upon arrival and our drinks and food orders were taken quickly. The service was prompt with just enough time between courses to feel like they weren't rushing you but hadn't forgotten you. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and anything extra we asked for, such as sauces, we received quickly and without fuss. There are a couple of different set menus which are extremely good value. I had 3 courses from the Pre-Theatre menu (available until 7pm) for £15 and definitely got my money's worth with mozzarella and tomato salad, a pizza absolutely loaded with topping and chocolate fudge cake with ice cream to finish. I will definitely be eating at Giorgio's again and would recommend it to anyone. There is plenty of choice for people of all ages and there is something to suit all tastes.
Giorgios – Manchester City CentreI'm not sure who is eating here that is actually happy with the food, the place was dirty, the food was awful and the manager was rude. It's the first time I have ever put chicken in my mouth that I could not chew, and the chopped tomatos the chicken was sat on, were chopped tomatos out of a tin. I was not asked if everything was ok, and when my full plate of food was taken, I was still not asked if all was ok, this was obviously and evident that they knew it wasn't, but ignorance is bliss, so if they dont ask they dont get any feedback. what a shame that a nice looking pub on the outside lets you down on the inside.
Church Inn – CheadleGreat night spoiled by being rushed from our table. We had spent over £500 as a group, but as soon as they had our money we were asked to leave 'as there were eight ladies waiting at the bar'. Our party hadn't finished their drinks but we were hassled until we left. I believe this is unforgivable in a service industry and won't go back.
Rosso – Manchester City CentreOn Thursday, my husband and I celebrated 20 years of marriage. What a wonderful place for such an occasion. Great atmosphere (lovely Christmas decorations , candle on the table, nice music), wonderful food, attentive service and the bill was not expensive at all. We received a liquor on the house as well. We'll be back soon, even if there is not any special occasion.
San Remo – AudenshawMy partner and I visited La Roma today for lunch and we had a thoroughly enjoyable lunch accompanied by a lovely bottle of Barbera. We were the first to arrive and were promptly greeted and seated at a table for two in a window alcove. By the time we left the place had become busier although it was not bustling and the clients were a mixture of couples and a group of friends enjoying the Christmas lunch menu. It was obvious that several of these patrons were regulars. The layout of the restaurant, a former pub, has been very well thought out with a light and airy main restaurant area, an intimate and cosy 'stübel', and a spacious bar area with comfortable seating with a theme of Italian racing cars and motorbikes with an actual Ducati in its midst. Our food was well presented, served in good time and absolutely delicious - my pizza rustica was one of the best I've ever tasted and my partner's ciabatta with roasted Mediterranean vegetables and mozarella (modified on request from goat's cheese) was equally enjoyable albeit it was initially served not hot enough for her liking - the waiter apologised and returned within a reasonable time with a completely fresh meal. It's not often these days to find Italian restaurants where the staff actually converse with each other in their native language which adds to both the authenticity and the ambience. The location may be a little off the beaten track with the river view marred by the electricity pylon cables stretching directly overhead but nonetheless we consider 'La Roma' to be a great find which we hope to frequent regularly.
La Roma Restaurant – Boltonla Roma has been the perfect place for both a quiet intimate meal but they are as good with larger groups. For the second year running all our neighbours go for a meal together and la Roma is without a doubt where everyone feels we get great food, great service and of course the best Tiramisu in the NORTH WEST!!!!!! Thanks to all the staff who stay friendly when we no doubt get a little rowdie towards the end of a long Italian feast!!!!
