La Lupa – StalybridgeVisited La Lupa for first time 30th July 2011. Excellent food. Real Italian, Pasta, Fish, & sweets. Prices good. Definitely on Visit again list. Didn't it used to be called Aqua?
La Lupa – StalybridgeAlways a pleasure to eat here, the food is quick tasty and substantial. The owner very welcoming. The noodle soups are amazing with plenty in the large bowls. This is a great alternative to wagamama and tampopo.
Fuzion Noodle Bar – FallowfieldI was completely stunned and in awe with this place, from its subterranean location and entrance to its interior. This is one hell of a cool place. I popped in for a beer after work. I had a good chat with the bar staff who knew plenty about their product. I wandered around the place, checking out the huge open planned kitchen which looks right. The colour scheme of the interior is like nothing I've seen before, you need to go and check this place out, i know it'll be right up your street. Ive yet to try the food but the menu is full of everything that good in the culinary world at the moment. this place will blow you away.
Australasia – Spinningfieldshave visited this pub a couple of times and had very good meal so having visitors from AUSTRALIA I rang early one morning to book a table for 9 at 3 PM Saturday and was told by Joe ok your in. we duly arrived and the girl took our order starters etc from the 9 people not long after another girl arrived to inform us that they don't serve off the main menu until 6PM i was astounded as i was not told that when i rang in in fact our friends from Australia were very annoyed, the man called Joy was so dam arrogant and uncaring we nearly walked out we eventually spent £125 for fish and chips and steak sandwich from the lunch menu we were disgusted at the attitude of the man called Joe i bet they don't print this unhappy table of 9
Waggon and Horses – Stalybridgecurry brill
Copper Pot – RochdaleIts the 2nd time i have been here now, the food is excellent, service excellent and very well priced. Much better than the other Thai restaurant down the road. Will definitely go again.
Spice Garden – RamsbottomVisited two weeks ago on a Saturday evening. Limited menu, but excellent quality and imaginative, also daily specials board. Good wine list. Quiet restaurant with pleasant decor for that special occasion. Will definitely return.
The Waggon At Birtle – BuryVisited for the first time one lunchtime last week and had a really enjoyable meal. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I like the way the wine bar and restaurant are separate areas so that you can go for a drink or a meal or both. We will definitely be returning soon.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonHad a night there to celebrate my partners birthday in July (2011). We had a "booth" to ourselves. My partner adores sushi and has eaten in the best of Japanese restaurants; she rated this outstanding!! I hate the stuff and had rib-eye steak rolls; outstanding! Then they turned the lights out and played happy birthday whilst presenting her with a cake and candle. This was great, and she was suitably embarrassed. Must say though, the Japanese version of Happy Birthday lasted nearly 3 minutes!!! Nevertheless, three courses, beer, coffee, etc, all came to £59. VALUE. Please go there. It doesn't look much from the outside, but inside its great. Excellent service, and all this on a Saturday evening. Will definitely go there again- and again. By the way, stayed at the Mint hotel, 3 minutes walk away. Outstanding!!
Tokyo Season – Manchester City CentreBy far the BEST Indian in Bolton. Fantastic choice of food, wine and cocktails. The service is great and valet parking is a nice touch. Lunch menu includes curry, rice, nan bread and a soft drink for a fiver. You can't beat it!
Cinnamon Fusion Indian Cuisine – BoltonHaving eaten at Ciao Bella on numerous occasions over the past 5 years with my husband and also friends, I decided to take our son for lunch on his 20th birthday before 'hitting' the shops. He said it was the best Italian meal he's ever had and now understands why we don't go anywhere else to dine when we're in Manchester. The food is absolutely fantastic and the owners and staff are so warm and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We can't recommend Ciao Bella highly enough for a wonderful gastronomic experience. We will certainly be returning time and time again in the future!
Ciao Bella Restaurant – Manchester City CentreHad a wonderful evening here last Friday. I left Denton 10 years ago and I really missed the food and the atmosphere at San Remo. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the restaurant moved into a bigger place, new and modern. I am glad they kept the same traditional menu. The spare ribs, the spaghetti with bacon and the homemade dessert were tasty and fresh. The atmosphere was pleasant, the service was spot on, friendly and attentive with discretion. I work in catering for over 7 years and I must say that San Remo is a gold mine, don't know how they do it for the price!
San Remo – AudenshawCheck your bill! They hadn't removed our £90 deposit and also added a bottle of wine to the bill. Some slow service but it was really busy!
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreHaving been a few times now to the Sokrates and always enjoyed the great food and hospitality we thought it would be great to take our visitors to this place we have enjoyed so much before. Actually, we were asked if we could give a recommendation as they had invited us for a meal out. And surely we did enjoy a great evening with outstanding food, thought the attendance of the staff was a bit off its usual but the restaurant being full with hungry diners its somehow understandable. The big "surprise" came in the end when our visitors were about to pay the bill. We had more drinks on our bill then we actually consumed and only after the second reassurance ( with the empty bottles still evidently on the table) the bill was altered. By this time the credit card had already been swiped and it was a long struggle (to say the least) before everything was in its correct tracks. Having been seated close to the till we couldn't help but witnessed other guests complaining about similar issues. We still think its a great place to dine out but check your bill before you hand out any money/credit card.
Sokrates Taverna – HorwichThe best and most authentic Thai restaurant in the area. If you want a real taste of Thailand with fantastic service this is the restaurant to visit.
Spice Garden – RamsbottomOne of the worst curry houses i have ever been!! and I have been a lot, and the Service and food was just awful!!!! the waiters made you feel like scum and couldn't wait to rush you out, Sticky tables that were not helped by lack of table cloths, no candle lighting, loud loud music that just made u want to leave straight away, bland food, rude staff that walk up and down like prison guards scowling at you, unhelpful and unfriendly trying to snatch you plate even before you have finished! felt like a curry McDonald`s!!! all in all awful and I would never ever go again! If you want a nice relaxed, romantic restaurant with nice food that does not make ill don't go here stay away. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
Shere Kahn – Rusholmei have been using the top rd balti since the early days, about 1987 i think it first opened, sure it was called the uraswarmy, think khan owned it even back then,it was only the end of the block then, small room, anyway, the food is top draw,so are the staff, the way you can have a pint whilst waiting for a takeout is legendary.well done boys.
