Just Thai @ The Village – UrmstonWent here last night with a party of ten. Saturday evening is 12 pound for any starter and any main meal, a side dish ( one between two people) also included popadom and chutneys. Food was brilliant and service was also good. Couldn't get a takeaway for that price. Will be back soon.
Mumbai Indian Restaurant – HorwichAbsolutely divine. Tasty food with excellent service and reasonably priced, I have eaten here on many occasions and have never been disappointed. I have tried a number of Italian eateries in Tameside and Giovanni's is by far the best!
Giovanni Italian Restaurant – DroylsdenUpon arriving at The swan with Two Knicks i was impressed with the old building and location. We were kindly greeted and told to find a table. But from there it went downhill. My partner and i both ordered for starters Chorizo with potatoes. It came in a bowl covered in some spicy sauce that was so bland. The chorizo was semi warm and just made your jaw ache trying to chew it. Ive eaten chorizo in South America and their was no comparision. For my main course i chose Cajun Chicken in Pitta Pockets and this was even worse. It tasted like the same bland sauce as the starter. I would compare it to a cheap tesco sauce in a jar. My partner had cheese and onion pie and asked before if it came with a sauce or gravy to which she was told no. So she asked for some gravy with it. When it arrived it was already smothered in a cheese sauce. When cutting into it the pastry was soggy and grey and looked disgusting. The waitress the poor girl asked if everything was ok to which i said no and she called the manager over. The manager said the reason my cajun sauce was bland was because the chef thought it may of been too hot for me so toned it down. WITHOUT EVEN ASKING ME!!!!!. And worse still the chef and waitress had had a conversation between them about whether my partner wanted cheese sauce, gravy or both and decided both again WITHOUT ASKING HER. We were offered a free desert but were already disgusted so declined. Worse still upon getting the bill we then found we were charged £1:50 for a tiny jug of watered down gravy. Utterly disgusted
Swan With Two Nicks – AltrinchamWe went to this restaurant for our 50th wedding anniversary last week, after it being recommended by our friends. The food was unbelievably beautiful and the prices very reasonable, however the whole experience was ruined by one waiters negative attitude and very rude/aggressive behavior towards customers. On the whole we would recommend this place and go there again, but avoid the waiter wearing spectacles.
Rozafa – Manchester City CentreExcellent restaurant we visit a few times a month and have never been disappointed. Stef and all the staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. All the dishes on the menu are very tasty and good size portions. Only wish we could come more often. Would definitely recommend to anyone to try you will not be disappointed.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonVery disappointing. The tapas here are anything But authentic. I ordered chorizo and was served A bowl of pepperoni that I would normally expect To find on a pizza! Worse still the “seafood" paella Came with crab sticks in it. Very Spanish(not) Won't be rushing back any time soon
La Torre – UrmstonApparently caps are not allowed to be worn in the carvery and this is not publicised. Only when we were seated with our meal and drink were we told this by the manageress. No other member of staff pointed this out to us, on this occasion or on the numerous times we have eaten there before. Our only options, barring removing the cap which was not possible, was to eat in the vault! or take a refund. Very unprofessional. So a quiet family meal with our daughter granddaughter and her father was ruined by a jobsworth manageress. If you have house rules, please advertise them or at least inform your staff.
Windmill – AudenshawWe ate here recently, the atmosphere was fabulous, the service was excellent and the food was authentic and highly recommended. In particular, the staff didn't rush us away from the table which is often the case in other establishments. Excellent. Looking forward to re-visiting!
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonThe restaurant was nicely decorated and had a nice atmosphere If you ignore the awful warbling in the background, The staff weren't friendly but quick and highly efficient. The food on the other hand was awful. I took two bites of this £14 plate of 3 prawns and what I can only call terrible and hard rice crispy treats with the worst tangiest processed sweet and sour sauce and wanted to throw up. My stomach cannot tolerate awful food, but my partner on the other hand has a stomach of steel and he felt worse after a bite. I cannot stress how terrible the food was, the Chef could have literally defacated a Chinese takeaway on our plates and would have tasted better. It is overpriced garbage I've had better Chinese food at a £2.50 all you can eat buffet. Don't waste your time or money.
Red Chilli – Manchester City Centrei have been Qila Khyber, my friend told me about this takeaway.i was really surprised when i saw BBC tv super star there .and i ate chicken biryani and masala fish which u couldn't find in Manchester and beautiful rice'n'3 curries.i think Qila is the best restaurant in Manchester
Qila Khyber – Manchester City CentreThe Spicy Hut in Rusholme is simply superb. Every month for over ten years my wife and our friends have visited many restaurants in Manchester and have not found more tasty, good value food to compare with 'The Spicy'. We always find the staff very friendly and although it gets busy, it's never long to wait for a table. A recent revamp brought the comfiest seats I've ever sat on! Well worth a visit.......you will return!
Spicy Hut – RusholmeTook my sister & 59 friends on her surprise 40th Birthday.... absolutely amazing night!! The staff are extremely organised got everyone served on time - Food - mixed reviews half loved it - half said ok but think that's because they weren't sure about Greek food anyway? However... entertainment - TOTALLY AMAZING!! If you want a fun crazy night - you HAVE to visit - loved it - enjoy!
Bouzouki By Night – Manchester City CentreI had a lamb madras, chapati and seek kebab take-away. I did not enjoy it one bit. Very lacking in flavours and too much oil in the curry. The chapati was not the good and there were virtually no flavours to the seek kebab. It was far too over-priced. . I will not go again or recommend.
Swadesh – AltrinchamI visited Ambiente with my Husband and my Mother-in-Law and we would certainly recommend it to anyone. The food was a very high standard, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was friendly and quiet. Thank you to all the staff for an excellent night out. We will visit again soon!
Ambiente – WorsleyWe have visited La Roma numerous times and have thoroughly enjoyed each visit. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating, food is of a very high standard and wines are excellent. Our particular favourites have to be the pork fillet (which is by far one of the tastiest meals we've ever eaten) and the chicken livers.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonI came with a group of 12 teachers over a week ago. Was pleasantly surprised with my delicious pizza, and everyone was full with their servings. Ooo the sweet caramel was great. I'm awaiting confirmation by yourselves for another reservation on Monday, June 13 with more friends.
Dough Pizza Kitchen – Northern QuarterMe and my family used to be regulars at La Scala and absolutely loved it there. In the last couple of years we have only been twice as on both occasions we were very disappointed with both service and the food. We decided we would give it another go this week and once again we were let down. Service was awful (not attentive at all) and the food just ok with no surprises on the menu. Since Fabio and Pablo have left this place has changed completely. We will definitely not be going again
