Stupots – SwintonThis is a brilliant place to get food, me and my friends go there every other day for dinner
Stupots – SwintonWent to La Lupa for the first time this weekend!! The food, wine and atmosphere were all amazing!! Will definitely be going back to sample more of the delicious food!!
La Lupa – StalybridgeOh dear. We took two friends to this over-rated, over-priced restaurant last night and now feel acutely embarrassed. Service was shocking mainly due to the fact that we came a very poor second to the Eurovision song contest ,from which most of the staff were unable to drag themselves away. I opted for Cozze alla crema to start. The sauce, whilst flavoursome was virtually cold and to my horror one of the mussels came with a most disconcerting clump of black hair attached to it. On drawing the waiters attention to this i was aggressively informed that this was the mussels tail!! In thirty six years as a seafood lover i have never seen anything like this, i was also made to feel like a fool for pointing it out. Sul Lago, if you are reading this the waiter was tall, thin and perhaps of an age where he should be looking for a real job. my advice to you is get his P45 ready. Main course was served whilst two of our party were outside, always nice to return to a plate of cooling food! my partner was most disappointed with the watery and tasteless veal, also parmesan was tipped over her dish without consent while another waiter shouted "no parmesan on the veal", needless to say this mistake was neither aknowledged or rectified. I opted for filetto pavarotti, the steak was small but had been cooked ok, the sauce however was lacking flavour and added nothing to the dish. If you are a vegetarian the Sul Lago is not the place for you. I find it amazing that in this day and age the only vegetarian options are the never innovative mushroom risotto and penne alla bland type generic cop-outs. it took quite some time to catch a waiters eye to ask if non-meat versions of pasta dishes were available, it must have been a particularly nail-biting moment on Eurovision. We decided against desert but did order coffee, whereupon my brandy order was forgotten, and the blame was passed around. Waiters stared at us in an attempt to make us ask for the bill and made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. No apologies were offered for any issue we had. The bill came to £146, extortionate for the food and service but a small price to pay to realise that we will never come here again. Sul Lago wake up! You need to take a long look at the way you do things, employ new staff who are customer focussed, source new suppliers as the quality of produce was lamentable and turn the tv off!!!!! Rarely have i been so let down by a restaurant and in light of this i shall be telling anyone who will listen to steer well clear.
Sul Lago – Oldhamwe have had takeaway from the Dilshad for a number of years and have NEVER had bad food or bad service...if Jarlsberg made curries they would make Dilshad.....thanks guys
Dilshad Tandoori – MostonI am a very foody person and after tasting the great food of Gurkha Grill I could not help my self to go their again and again. The food is simply wow and the members of the restaurant are very cooperative and friendly. Raj and Niel are always their to welcome us. I am 200 % satisfied with the nepalese food and environment and I recommend you to go their and experience yourself. I guarantee you that you will not regret it…..
Gurkha Grill – DidsburyWe ate at Stock for a Friday lunch. The set menu for £10 gave us two superb courses -the ravioli was divine and the sea bass was delicious. Great value in spectacular surroundings - would highly recommend.
Stock Restaurant – Manchester City CentreWe have eaten at this wonderful restaurant now many times and the food and service just gets better and better I cannot praise them highly enough!! Wonderful ! Wonderful!
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonThe Parade Fish Shop holds a Fish and Chip Quality Award from the National Federation of Fish Friers. It is one of only a handful of shops around the country to have this award. You can be confident of the quality of the product and the service at this shop.
Parade Fish Bar – Swintonhighly recommend
Blacksticks Restaurant – EcclesWe had a family meal at Sul Lago. Lovely food, very friendly and efficient staff and great service. Definitely a place to return to. Would advise that you book at weekends as even early on Saturday it was rather busy.
Sul Lago – Oldhamgreat thali at £6.99 mon - fri. It has a cafe atmosphere and parking in front. Great range of savoury and sweets to take out. One of the few places in Manchester to do quality Indian vegetarian food at a good price. I would highly recommend this place.
Lily’s Vegetarian Indian Cuisine – Ashton Under Lynethe choice of food was excellent. The service we received was fantastic. I would recommend others to your restaurant without hesitation. The value was second to none and attention to detail was impeccable. The ambiance was really nice, just what you need after a nice long walk.
La Roma Restaurant – Boltonwent for a meal on 2nd of may 2011 had to wait half an hour to get a table,so was hoping for some good food and what a let down it was, nachos for 2 to start with but needed a magnifying glass 2 see the cheese on top, then we had steak and duck main course steak was o.k. came with Caesar salad chips you don't get any veg, the duck again OK the skin not crispy which is nice when u have duck some salad and burned roast potatoes which it came with had to ask for hoisin sauce which they forgot wish i had not bothered because it was not nice at all, but wait i can recommend the garlic bread with cheese best part of the meal. I would say do not waste your money cost £35.00 ive had much better meals on a two for £10.00 deal would never go again.
Wiggin Tree – WiganExcellant food great atmosphere, Andrew and jackie and kevin are Great!
Tapios Restaurant – MiddletonVisited this restaurant many times and has been excellent UNTIL tonight. Menu changed - okay can deal with no steak!- but service and attitude of the one waiter was APPALLING. When we complained, he was rude and suggested that the kitchen was busy. There was only one other table occupied so busy was not really the word I would use. The food was not of the great quality experienced on past visits and they couldn't even get our order right - it really was not complicated (lamp chop and chips - instead, we got lamp chops, salad and roasted veg) Disappointing and shall not be returning
Due Fratelli – ChorltonWas known until recently as Detox-Retox. But has been re-branded Bistro 1847. 1847 being the year the vegetarian Society was formed. The bar offers a fantastic range of cocktails, spirits, wines & bottle beers, all of which are suitable for a vegetarian diet. Great imaginative food which is exclusively vegetarian, and some superb Vegan options, even my meat eating friends were also pleasantly surprised with how good the dishes were. Will definitely be back!!
