Starter - scallops x 2 plus homemade pork crackling and foam !! Very good - Not enough and far too expensive (£6.95) Main - Home made steak and ale pie. Gravy too thin and oily, Steak needed cutting up more and pastry just for show !! 2mm thick and about 20cm above the filling !! Sorry but I like to eat pastry when ordering pie !! Dessert - Home Made Chocolate Fondent Pudding & homemade ice cream. Fantastic !!!!!!!! Service & ambiance Good/bit slow, regulars looked at us as if we shouldn't be there.

We visited Viva Espana for the first time on a Wednesday night. It was a good job that we'd booked, it's such a tiny place. Very homely, authentic music adds to the atmosphere. The food portions were larger than expected so we ordered too much. We will have to return so that we can try a pudding, as the menu looked very tempting. All the tapas we ate were very tasty. Parking just across the road and good service. We definitely recommend.

The self proclaimed "purveyors of real ale, fine food, splendid wine and atmosphere" - Spot on description I'll say! Prices pretty reasonable too. Must try out their sister establishments ODD and ODDEST

Excellent dosas / idli. very reasonable prices. great place to try south Indian food. Very pleasant service. Only gripe is poster on wall stating they don't give tap water, and 50p for bottled water. Such a shame as tap water is standard in most Indian cafes. That aside, I will certainly revisit and try the thali

Always enjoy going to the restaurant - the food is so tasty and the atmosphere is good. The service friendly and we always have a wonderful meal!

I was expecting authentic Spanish cuisine, what I got was truly flabbergasting. Frozen surimi crab claw that had been PRE-BOUGHT, ready made and frozen (Do a google search on frozen surimi and look at images) which was tasteless and pure white imitation crab meat (no fresh crab to or fresh anything to be found at El Rincon except the side salad of half a tomato and 2 slices of cucumber on one of the plates!). Everything was covered with tinned tomatoes on every dish, and all dishes tasted the same except for the frozen meatballs, the meat was tasteless but I got a hit of chilli with the tinned tomatoes this time. The same with the squid it was chewy and clearly pre-frozen. Very disappointingly (because this place could be so good, and has gone very downhill) the management have obviously decided to cut corners in an effort to turn over tables. Service wise everything came within 5 minutes of ordering and as we had barely taken the last contents of a dish the plates were whisked away from us within a split of a second. The wait staff were constantly hovering making it a stressful evening (we were in and out within 40 minutes!)

I have enjoyed curries for more than 30 years & this has to be the best Indian Restaurant in Manchester. I have been here many times & the dishes are very varied in taste. Meat quaility is excellent & spicing is truly exotic & interesting. There are flavours of fennel, fenugreek, cardamom etc. The Lamb Rogan Ghosht & Pilau Rice here are the best I have eaten for years. The exemplary service puts other Asian restaurants to shame. The only sensation you are likely to get along the Rusholme curry mile these days is of poor overcooked meat combined with varying degrees of cheap chilli powder...

Dim Sum is the most best in China Town ever, and all staff are always happy to serve whenever we need them for, quality of the food is very good, try out one of their signature food, 'Golden soft shell crab' thumb up!!

A very disappointing 'Mothers Day' meal at the Rigbye. The staff were clueless, they ran out of dessert options and absolutely no facilities for the disabled. My 82 year old mother was forced to stand in the bar area on two walking sticks for 15 mins before we requested a passing waiter somewhere were she could sit down whilst our table was still being cleared. This very young and inexperienced waiter suggested a 3 and half foot high bar stool!!!!! need I say more! sorry but lacking in descent and friendly service and hospitality - I am still waiting for my letter of apology . The Rigbye used to such a fine dining experience until the 'minimum wage' was thrust upon it - staff appeared 'detatched' from its' customers on Mothers Day. We won't be returning under the current management structure. There are so many more nicer more welcoming places. To be this bad on a special day for families is unforgiving!!

We went for our 3rd visit today and Grinch do the best pizza in town. The food is always fresh and tasty, amazing cocktails and good service.

Fantastic food, very disappointing service. We were booked in at 9.15pm on Sat night and it seemed that the staff couldn't wait to get rid of us. Staff became a bit friendlier after we had given a tip but up to that point they clearly just wanted to go home. Don't take bookings if you don't want people on at that time.

Have been to Pearl many times over last few years,by far best curry in Tameside in my opinion, have dined out at most curry houses in Ashton,Stalybridge,Denton,Mossley and have never got bored of dining at the Pearl as you can sometimes with others. Service has always been excellent, have been mid week and weekends,ok,maybe waited longer for meal at weekend but this to be expected.Food always great

Lovely food, when we had it, but they never pick up the phone now so what is the point?

After a day spent at Alton Towers, celebrating my 3 year old daughters birthday, we thought we'd stop by our local Italian restaurant, La Roma, for a quick bite to eat. We've eaten frequently at La Roma, celebrating several birthdays and christenings and we've never had a bad meal. There were several free tables so I did not expect a problem so early, even if it was a Saturday night. (18:20) I was very surprised, being informed, (after being looked up and down by a somewhat snotty and arrogant waiter!) that there are no tables available till 9pm Needless to say we won't be back. My wife felt quite insulted, particularly as she used to go even more often than I do. I've never eaten at a restaurant where the food is that good, the service can afford to be impolite. 5 minutes down the road in radcliffe town centre, there is a little place called Italia Mia. The food is every bit as good (Pizzas and Tiramisu in fact are supreior) and the staff are more attentive friendly and without pretense. I know where we'll be going from now on.

We ate here last night and the portion size was tiny. There was a lot of fat on the lamb and the chicken was about 4 mouth fulls. I had to order more food and had the cheese platter with chutney. I was given cranberry sauce instead of chutney and they pretended this was right! After complaining to the manager he knocked £2.95 off a £100 bill. We said this was not acceptable, his attitude was basically, tough, I don't care if you don't come back. Awful service and food.

To eat at Armenique is a real treat, lovely warm service from Edward and his staff with delicious food. The bread is to be highly recommended as are his beautiful cakes.

There was onion skin in my food. So desperately disappointed. They were understaffed and lots of people were getting their meals late. When I raised the issue over the meal the waitress said "well you have children so you are actually costing us money" Charming.
