Tokyo Season – Manchester City Centrewe have visited La lupa on a couple of occasions recently and have not been disappointed. All food is prepared fresh so be ready to wait but when it comes it is well worth it , would recommend the stroganoff - divine. good selection of wines to complement the food
La Lupa – StalybridgeExcellent vegetarian and vegan food
The Kitchen on Great Moor Street – BoltonMyself and my girlfriend visited San Carlo this weekend for our 5th anniversary and we couldn’t have asked for a better night. As soon as we were greeted, we received top notch service, with an attentive (but not overbearing) waiter and enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere. The food was authentic, rich and nothing short of amazing. Needless to say, now that we’ve found this little gem, we’ll definitely be coming here again on a more regular basis!
San Carlo – Manchester City CentreVisiting Manchester after a loooong time, I was with a group of girls & decided to eat at Zaika before watching Black Swan at the AMC. Wow u have got to try the chicken chili masala, blew my head off but what a dish !!! The girls had a mixture of starters & mains, absolutely no complaints from the group. It was out 1st visit as they are tucked away behind G-Mex, but I promise you it won't be our last.....
Zaika – Manchester City CentreAfter visiting Ciao Bella on Saturday night I would strongly recommend a visit as the atmosphere, quality of food and service can only be described as first class.I had booked the table on the strength of the reviews I had read together with a real liking for Italian food. This was definitely a very good choice and will go back.
Ciao Bella Restaurant – Manchester City CentreWe've been going to this restaurant ever since it opened. The quality of the food has been consistently good over all the years. The staff are always pleasant and love to have a friendly chat whilst you wait for your meal. It all adds up to a lovely relaxing night out and an added bonus of taking your own alcohol. Highly recommended
Westwood East Bangladeshi Cuisine – OldhamI've been going to the owls for around four years and always have the same meal. i was really disappointed when i found that the menu has been changed and reduced, as the meal i have is no longer on there and there is not a great deal to choose from now. A lot of people i know have the same so while the menu is as it is i will not be going.
The Owls At Standish – WiganMy husband and I dined at the Charnley Arms for our 5 year wedding anniversary on 28/01/2011 and thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
Charnley Arms – WiganPoor food, slow service. When I go out for a meal albeit an 'early diner' at a not so cheap £12 for 2 courses I expect for better quality in both service and food quality. I ordered chicken kebab for my main course. This consisted of a salad (ok) poorly cooked and presented rice and 5 pieces of chicken not on a skewer with a piece oe a pepper which had adhered to the chicken, was this one of yesterdays salvaged meals. I would have gone to town on them but I was in company and did not want to upset one of my guests who was in quite a fragile state. Instead I have chosen to write this review. Incidentally they were short staffed because people had come in without booking. My recommendation is not to go with or without a booking.
Sokrates Taverna – SaleExcellent food and service as always. Spice Garden was the first Thai restaurant and after my recent visit it is still the best. The starters were exceptional and the Green curry was so fresh it was amazing. I can't recommend it strongly enough.
Spice Garden – RamsbottomExcellent in every respect 10/10. Visited without booking Friday 28/1/11, very busy but managed to sort a table. Very much like a small family restaurant you would find in Italy (Sicilian though) The staff were very good, the chef came out to ask if all was ok. The food was excellent. Dine in many places in the area of Cheshire, plus Manchester, Lancashire etc Farina is worth a visit, Book in advance as this place is going to be popular.
Farina – AltrinchamI went to see King George's Speech at the AMC with my partner and afterwards we wanted a quality Italian restaurant where we could enjoy a quiet late lunch (after 2). Don Marco fitted the bill perfectly as it was just across the road (Deansgate) opposite the Hilton and in our opinion was definitely fit to serve King George's lunch as the restaurant scored highly on all fronts - the service was first class, the presentation was impeccable and the quality of the food was truly outstanding. Combine these superlatives with value for money, an ambient setting (music & decor wise) and the option of al fresco dining and you can see why Don Marco is truly a gem amongst the proliferation of Italian eateries in the city centre.
Don Marco – Manchester City CentreVisited Zaika on Thursday 27th Jan 2010 with the mrs & 2 little ones for my wife's birthday. Never mentioned the birthday but the staff realised & presented us with a cake ( which embarrassed the hell out of wife). Generally, the restaurant is clean, with a modern chic deco. The food was fantastic especially the Bengali Prawn with Monkfish, recommended by Manchester Evening News, City Life Magazine. Liz had aloo tikka to begin & lahori lamb chops with mushroom rice. kids shared a chooza makhani with a cheese naan. We will definitely be going back. Marks out of 10....9.5 for service. 10 for food & 10 for staff attentiveness.
Zaika – Manchester City CentreWe went to Japan last year and really wanted to try something authentic now we are home. The atmosphere was great, and the staff friendly and very helpful/attentive. We tried the authentic Japanese seating and had the Tokyo Season Platter starter, followed by Katsu Curry, washed down with hot Sake. The food was wonderful and just what I was hoping for. I can't recommend this place highly ENOUGH. Fantastic!!
Tokyo Season – Manchester City CentreBeen going here for a number of years and invariably have the west lake beef and tomato soup and Mrs Spottys Beancurd - delicious!!
Red Chilli – Manchester City CentreAbsolutely our FAVOURITE restaurant! We've been going to Viva Espana for about 8 years and we love it. The atmosphere is wonderful and relaxed, and the choice of food is wide. We've tried many dishes from the menu, plus new ones as added, and we've never had any disappointment. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the prices are good too. This certainly won't break the bank and you'll leave wanting to book another night. Highly recommended!
Viva Espana – HorwichFood portions are getting increasingly smaller; service was poor from an aloof waiter who couldn’t even be bothered to carry our drinks to the table, and snarled when we asked where the children’s chips were. We have been loyally going to the Millon since it opened for probably about 20 years, we won’t be going again, but looking to one of the other many Indian restaurants in the area who I sure will value our custom
