Shiraz Restaurant – NorthendenThey have pictures of Manchester united on the wall, the atmosphere for a Tuesday night was great,it cost 60 quid for2 ,minestrone, pasta and a bottle of wine. They have loads of waiters.
San Carlo – Manchester City CentreWe just had takeaway chicken kebabs from Turkish delight and I must say i was surprised when we ordered the turkish naan bread (instead of pitta) which is an extra 30p and saw it come out of a packet and thrown on top of our meat on the grill. The Kebab was NOT tasty, the chicken was watery, bread dry and i've had much better kebabs elsewhere, where you get fresh naan and it's cheaper than Turkish Delight too!
Turkish Delight – ChorltonThis is the email I sent to Bistro West 156 last week: Hello, Just a quick email to say how great your food was last night. I had the squash and chorizo soup, steak on a bed of saute potatoes and sticky toffee pudding. The soup was possibly the best I've ever had. The steak was delicious 'again with chorizos' which combined with the salad beautifully. The desert was extremely sweet and rich, but was toned down really well with the ice cream. Delicious food, friendly service (not the fastest but excellence takes time), and reasonably priced. Keep up the great work! I'll definitely be coming again. Thanks again, Tom Ps. You have my vote for Ramsey's next Best Local Restaurant.
Bistro West 156 – DidsburyThis restaurant is amazing, after hearing some many good things about this place I decided to give it a try and I was not disappointed, the food and atmosphere was great and the wide selection of drinks left me a little tipsy ha!!!! You must give this little gem a try for yourself!!!!
San Remo – AudenshawHad a great meal at il Toro last night... we had the Sunday night offer.. two courses for £12.95... was delicious, and excellent portion size. Nice efficient, pleasant staff... Will definitely return.
Il Toro – HorwichThey do a really substantial and gorgeous veggie breakfast, making the effort to have veggie black pudding. Full English breakfast was fab with additional, triumphal potato cake. Service lovely. Would definitely come again.
Bistro West 156 – DidsburyWent last night for a family meal. It's changed quite a bit since I last dined their. Excellent value £150 for 6 of us including 3 courses wine and drinks, nice ambience. The starters were good if just a little small. The mains were excellent good sized portions, the steaks were enjoyed by all and the pork belly nice and moist. A nice selection of desserts. Would definitely recommend to others. And look forward to going again over the summer months.
The Chetham Arms – BoltonNeeds more improvement, long wait and small portions.
Lal Qila – RusholmeAte here on Saturday evening. Turned up at 6.50 without a reservation. They were fully booked but we explained we only wanted a main and would be out by 7.30. The manager was really helpful and fitted us in. The staff were attentive and the food was excellent; the fillet steak being exceptional and it was not pricey at all.The only draw back was the hike to the loo upstairs! Will definitely return.
San Remo – AudenshawWe keep on going back to the best Italian in the Manchester area. No point in going to any other Italian when we have this gem on our doorstep.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonGreat place to dine for choice of food, friendliness as a couple, or as a group. Lovely surroundings and plenty parking.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonWe attended as a group of eighteen on Saturday 10th April 2010 to celebrate a friend's 30th birthday. The restaurant was extremely busy at the time with people waiting on the stairs leading to the bottom floor and all along the entrance as clearly the establishment had not turned people away. As the entire party of friends had not arrived by 8.00pm we were not allowed to sit at the table, place drink orders and neither were we given menus. By 8.15pm our table had been given away and we were then seated on the bottom floor. When our drinks arrived, to our disgust we found a dead wood lice in the jug of Mango Lassi drink. What was even more appalling was the response we received from the waiter who was obviously not disturbed by the event. His response was "S***" and "these things happen!". We then had to inform the floor manager who gave a shuffled apology and replaced the drink. The evening got worse as our orders arrived almost two hours late and even then we had to complain twice to chase up the orders. Having been seated by 8.30pm our food was placed in front of us at 10.45pm! Not once did the staff give us any information as to when our orders were likely to be with us. Neither did we receive any sort of an apology for the less than dissatisfying service. Our orders came partially wrong and again was bought to the attention of the waiter who was not in the slightest interested to rectify the situation as he was clearly too busy. Unfortunately the owner was unable to deal with the complaints effectively and was more concerned with where the wood lice originated from! To remedy the situation he offered to deduct a measly fifty pounds off the bill of three hundred pounds, which really was an insult to the way we had been treated. To make matters worse Mr______ did not offer any apology for the events of the evening or accept that the matter could have been handled better. Had the situation occurred at a more upmarket establishment in Manchester the outcome would have been totally different. What began as a happy occasion turned out to be a complete "Sizzling"? disaster.
Sizzling Palate Restaurant – BoltonVery good value restaurant, we just live round the corner so we are very frequent dinners, staff are very attentive and meals are delicious! Highly recommend

Bistro West 156 – DidsburyWhat can i say, this place is fantastic. Great Varied menu, fantastic atmosphere either for a couple or a group and i was really impressed with the quality and portions of the food for the price, especially in Bramhall, we have been a few times and always had something different and everytime it has been fantastic.
