Nam Ploy – BoltonI love this restaurant! My husband is Persian & is very fussy about what he regards as Persian cuisine served in restaurants....he would eat here everyday if he could! Its a cosy, no frills place with excellent food & as all Persians love...rice is plentiful! Can't recommend this place enough.
Persia Grill House – Chorltonit is crap they dont deliver cause u think they u r pranking them
T Spoon – HarpurheyOne visit only and I was not impressed at all. i had duck that was quite expensive and it had a layer of blubber that was unappetizing and inedible. I mentioned this when asked if the meal was ok and the waitress took the 'blubber' on my plate and asked the chef who said it should be like this. I asked her if he would be able to eat this as I couldn't imagine anyone doing so except for a reality tv programme. I accept all meals are a one off and I could have been unlucky. My companions meals were ok but they weren't anything special and it was not cheap!
Gallimores – WiganEXCELLENT PRIDE OF BOLTON IT IS!! WILL BE BACK!
Indigo Restaurant – BoltonWill I like Cafe Lahore That’s the question you’re asking if you’re reading this, perhaps with a view to a forthcoming visit. You will like Cafe Lahore if: 1). You like to be served by waiters who look as though they’re practising for gurning contests when you ask for something so basic as a glass. 2). You find it enjoyable to be served by waiters who have no manners. 3). You like to be served by waiters who are environmentally friendly in only providing one set of cutlery to last you a 3 course meal. 4). You find it of interest to be served by waiters who have deceptive pace i.e. who move at a snails pace during the ‘marathon’ of a meal only to change gear into a sprint finish when the cash for the meal is put out. 5). You enjoy having to wait 45 minutes for a starter and a further hour and a half after that for your main meal. 6). Whilst waiting for your food you enjoy watching the chefs make up take out after take out after take out. 7). You enjoy being treated to the delightful sounds of MTV bass and Kiss emanating from a large flat screen TV in the centre of the establishment. 8). You are quite happy to pay an average price for average food. 9). Your expectations of a restaurant fall within the MacDonalds/KFC pantheon.
Cafe Lahore – Oldhamnawaabs was fantastic the food was really nice id recommend it to any other person , absolutely delicious for £10 a head is cheap for the food they had i would definitely visit there again , OH AND II MET AMIR KHAN IN THERE ASWELL HAHA OTHER THEN THAT NAWAABS IS GREAT
Royal Nawaab – LevenshulmeMikes is the best chippy in Heywood fresh fish great chips and proper mushy peas and Hollands pies . He served his time in his Dads shop Peters Chip Inn in Heywood which was also the best chippy in Heywood When it was open.
Mike’s English Chippy – HeywoodThe Malaysian Indian food I had in Malaysia was far much better than what I had at this restaurant. The food was very oily, especially the sambal. I ended up having sore throat the next day. In fact the fried fish served were tasteless. Also, the drinks served were too sweet. It's a horrible nightmare for me and my friends.
Lotus Restaurant – NorthendenI'm South Indian and thought this place was pretty good. It doesn't serve the usual anglicized stuff everyone else does. My mum really likes it, which is great praise, and wants to take her friends here. Chicken chettinad was the favourite. Not as good as my mums but better than everywhere else. The dosa wasn't quite right but still good. The service wasn't great, it really needs improving.
Sindhoor South Indian Restaurant – LevenshulmeWe waited around 45 minutes for a table then we were seated in the middle section of the restaurant by the kindly staff. We were served by our waiter named Faz. the starters were excellent, the main course was fairly good, the price was reasonable and the service was superb would recommend to be served by polite staff.
Akbars – Manchester City CentreBUZZROCKS Been to south side shop now one on the north MOSTON LANE... Jerk Chicken and rice peas YUMMY..... Large portions and the CHEF BUZZROCKS himself is a legend.... Check it out I Have seen the actors from Shameless and Ian Brown plus Finlay Quaye All the loving the food great place to hang out... Or take food home
Buzzrocks Caribbean Takeaway – HulmeUntil last night I would recommend wholeheartedly the San Carlo experience. The seafood is excellent and the atmosphere is peerless. However, last night (Bank Holiday Monday) we had a pretty poor time and I hope that it is only down to the date. My snails were possibly the worst starter I have ever eaten - if I had cooked the ones my 5 year old brings into the house at home i would have enjoyed more flavour. The sides orders were wrong and delivered throughout the meal as a result. My wife's lobster thermidor was essentially sauce with some fish bits in. Last night notwithstanding however, and the number of great meals I've eaten in there outweigh the poor ones plenty to one, this is still a great place for either a special occassion or just to people watch!
San Carlo – Manchester City CentreThis is a fantastic pub that offers great choice and price. Ate here last week and will definitely go again !
The Waggon and Horses – WesthoughtonThis is a new and welcoming Chinese restaurant, one I would like to highly recommend for that special occasion, or just a good meal out.
Shanghai Palace Restaurant – WiganEnjoyed a meal there before going to concert, express lunch available until 7pm which is good though we ate off main menu, shared a mixed starter which was delicious and waitress took the time to explain what the things were and which dip went with each one, main courses yummy, dish of mixed greens delicious but definitely al dente. Disappointed that one of the deserts not available as no bananas, wouldn't have thought too difficult to get some in a city centre. Overall though great meal and service and we are looking forward to another visit.
Tampopo – Manchester City CentreJust got back from a shopping trip to Bolton. Dropped on la Salsa. What can I say. Wonderful lunch time all you can eat. Great service nice surroundings. Fantastic value for money. Highly recommended, well done La Salsa.
La Salsa – HorwichTracey & I were married last Friday & held our reception at Micheles' restaurant, as usual everything was perfect. I cannot recommend the food or service highly enough. I love the place & the people. Just don't to many of you people go on a Friday as we like to get our table for two in the window. Say hello if you spot us, we're as friendly as the staff are.
