We visited Indigo for the first time on Friday night 5th March for my Birthday. We found the service and the quality of the food really good definitely the best in Farnworth, we will return soon.

Indigo Restaurant – BoltonReally good food and a pleasant atmosphere. A wide menu with Thai classics and specials that are less popular, really fresh and delicately prepared. Just over £40 for two courses for two people. We discovered this place by complete fluke - were fed up of the queues and hassle of the Trafford Centre so went for a drive - and struck lucky. Above the pub, the dark wooden tables and beams are contrasted by the light walls and high ceiling, and the light music allows for conversation (often about the food).
Just Thai @ The Village – UrmstonI took my partner and five friends to Sanmini's last night, two of these 'curry virgins' and six of us totally new to South Indian food.. Wow, what a fantastic evening - the menu was explained, dishes recommended (hard to order when you don't know what goes with what, but we were helped with this with no rush or pressure), the service was fantastic.. And the food - amazing food! Wonderful flavours and fragrances, varying levels of 'hot' and 'not so hot' but nothing, even to our rather bland palates, was overpowering at all, no matter how spicy. Every member of our party tried something (more than one thing) new and every single one of us will be back again!
Sanmini’s – RamsbottomNew Himalayas is an absolutely brilliant restaurant. I have been to many curry houses and find the food here by far the best! The Lamb Harrey Masala Ka Gosht (a spinach curry) is excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. The Thali (a selction of three different curries with rice and bread) is a great choice for beginners!
New Himalaya – LevenshulmeThis is possibly one of the most stuck up restaurants i have ever eaten in. aside from the fact that there was a rat in the main dining room whilst we were eating the staff are rude and make you feel like you should be grateful to be eating there. the service is poor and our over all experience was shocking from start to finish! would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!!!!
East z East – Manchester City CentreI have visited this wonderful restaurant many times and each time I marvel at how fantastic it is! From the beautiful (and I mean BEAUTIFUL!)waiters, to the fabulous atmosphere and the delicious food there really is no better place to dine in Manchester in my opinion. Also great for celeb-spotting but go mid-week!
San Carlo – Manchester City CentreA recent visit to Retreat left me a little disappointed! The venue is lovely since it was done up and the atmosphere is great. You cant fault the service from the friendly staff but when it comes to the food im afraid I cant agree with the other reviews on here! We went in a big group and every single person agreed that the food was average and disappointing when you take into account the other great qualities of this restaurant. The menu is very poor and everything seemed to come with Roast Veg (soggy) and Chili Rice (cold and dry) i had a huge tuna steak which was extremely dry and chewy. The price is reasonable and I will go back and give the new menu a try when it comes out but only because I live down the road...I wouldnt make a trip to come here if I were you!
Retreat – Boltonthis is, if not then, probably one of the best curry houses in the north west! absolutely scrumptious cuisine, the service is brilliant, the atmosphere on the weekends is very good. its a business ran by an extremely friendly family but on the hole I enjoyed the experience and would love to go there once again. thanks for making the best curry in stockport. 5 STARS ***** !
Master Chef – Ashton Under LyneWOW! I LOVE barburito so much. I recently visited the one in liverpool 1,its a special place.......
Barburrito – Manchester City CentreI took my mother here recently for her birthday on the special 3-course deal. We had the most wonderful evening and the food was very tasty. I have lived around Didsbury all my life and never ventured down the cobbles but now I wish I had! The staff were lovely, the chef's very professional in their open kitchen and the restaurant itself was a lovely little hidden gem! I have family visiting me very soon and I can't wait to show them this place. Well done No.4!
No. 4 Dine and Wine – DidsburyNot been to the John Gilbert before but friend told me about it.Great atmosphere on a Fri/Sat (one of the Corrie lot was in) had a meal with family Great Sunday Carvery making it a must for Mothers Day as getting booked up.
John Gilbert, The – Worsleywe've been regulars for 10 years and have never found a Nepalese/Indian restaurant better than this, raj and niel welcome you as if you were family and the food caters for every ones palet the gurkali chicken is the tastiest curry in Manchester ,forget rusholme get in the gurka you'll love it ...
Gurkha Grill – Didsburywhat a great place to go and have a great meal. just to inform you, i found out that if you leave a tip for the staff, the staff actually only receive a £3 tip at the end of each night and the rest of the money goes to the management, so DON'T leave a tip!!!!! the lady running front of house seems to be a nice person when serving you, i overheard her speaking to a member of staff VERY NASTILY!!!
Andiamo – WesthoughtonThis restaurant is terrible, the food was cold, burnt and completely different to what was described. We went for the 5 tapas for 11.95 and didn't finish one dish. I was really disappointed as this was my first tapas experience. Never go here.
Los Amigos – StockportThe delivery was speedy, however food wasn't hot enough and lacking flavour.
Chung Ying – Salfordthis place has good food but thats it the staff rude they charge for drinks you have'nt had we booked a table for a birthday party witch they filled because they were busy but when there not busy there over u like a cheap suit so if your thinking of going just turn up because your pre book wont count there's a better buffet restaurant around the corner
Chopsticks – Swintonvisited Zaika last night for my birthday. we were warmly greeted at the door and our cats were taken to be stored in a safe place. we were shown to the entrance lounge where we ere provided with menus and our drinks order taken the vegetarian range was limited but they were able to make dishes that were not on the menu at my request - which i think is a good sign at an eating establishment for starters we had veg samosas and paneer tikka - samosas were in the filo pastry type of pastry and was light and crispy and the paneer was a wonderful texture and really tasty our mains were also delicious - the tandoori roti was better than the plain naan- thinner and crispier great service, everything was well presented- the decor was great and there were several sections to the restaurant, whereby should you want to have private dining facilities or a small party then you could so - a first for Indian restaurants in Manchester All in all I had a very enjoyable meal to celebrate my birthday
