Tampopo – Trafford CentreI've been eating at Tampopo in Albert Sq since my return to Manchester in 2004 and can honestly say that I have always left more than satisfied. The tempura vegetables are amazing and the the mixed platter superb. I can also recommend the strips of rare beef on the most delicious aromatic tomato and spring onion salad. Have yet to try the soups but they do look amazing.
Tampopo – Manchester City CentreWe really enjoyed our breakfast 32 years ago today. It was the morning after the day we got married. Mary and Eddie Atherton (Canada)
Miller & Carter – StockportIt's not the 1st time i'm writing review on this restaurant. I think i am slightly obsessed with it:) since it opened i had a meal there at least once a week i just can't get enough of this place... Everything about it is perfect - food was fabulous every time, staff so welcoming and attentive, service so professional, very friendly owners and good atmosphere. What else could you wish for?! I recommend this place to everyone!
Zouk Tea Bar – Manchester City CentreOMG!!! The most delicious curry I've had in a long time. This place is fab, the decor, the service I couldn't fault anything! And all reasonably priced too. Will definitely be back, I want to work my way through the menu!! Yummy, yummy, yummy!
Zouk Tea Bar – Manchester City CentreIt's over 12 months since we ate here. Thoroughly enjoyed it last 3 occasions. Oh dear! visited 20/10/09 standards have dropped considerably. Food was just ok NOT amazing as previously also little touches like a dead plant on the window sill in ladies loo don't make a good impression. Always have recommended that friends & family visit Jem & I but won't be in too much of a rush to send people there now. Very average sadly
Jem and I Bar and Grill – DidsburyMy 2nd review of La Roma in 6 months because it's so good. We just can't stop going back to La Roma, lovely surroundings, friendly staff and superb food and drink. Bring on our next visit.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonVisited Zouk early on a Saturday evening with my partner and we both thoroughly enjoyed the food. We had the 'toss the coin' voucher and luckily both called it right so we only paid for our drinks and sides, naan bread etc (although the voucher did state that ALL the food was free!) We would have been happy to pay the full price as the food could not be faulted. Our only gripe was that there didn't seem to be much organisation and within 10 minutes of being shown to our seats we asked at least 5 times by different waiters if we ready to order. Definitely worth a try.
Zouk Tea Bar – Manchester City Centre17/10/9. This restaurant is well recommended. We eat there with friends on a Saturday evening, nothing was too much trouble & the food was really excellent - no it wasn't - it was better than that. This place deserves support. Not sure about the jokes though. Will definitely be going back.
Rozafa Taverna – StockportI arrived at your restaurant yesterday along with my family for a birthday lunch, a party of 10 to be exact. Your website stated that you served lunch until 3 o'clock. Due to our train being late, we arrived at 2.40, later than we had anticipated and were promptly told that we could only have pizzas. We had printed off the vouchers for your special offer of 2 persons dining for £25 including a bottle of wine but were refused this offer. We pointed out that your website offered dining until 3 o'clock but this made no difference. We thought that you could have at least admitted your mistake on this one occasion and accommodated us but no, you promptly just showed us the door. We shall definitely not be visiting your restaurant again and shall make sure all our friend give it a wide birth too. I feel that the staff just couldn't be bothered.
I had a fantastic meal at The Restaurant Bar & Grill on Saturday! The food was delicious - out of this world! I am quite a fussy eater and asked our waiter if he could change a few things on my dish, nothing was too much trouble. The whole atmosphere of the bar and the restaurant was great. It was lovely to see smiling, friendly staff. It really made our weekend and I can't wait to go back again!
Restaurant Bar and Grill – Manchester City CentreWe were a party of 10 adults and one child on Saturday 24th October and would just like to say what a good time we had. The staff were pleasant and attentive, very helpful with the differing meal choices, giving advice on how items were cooked, the food was hot, everyone said how much they enjoyed their meals and we could not fault the service. Well done to all the staff and a big thank you for making the evening such a pleasant one
Heald Green Beefeater and Travel Inn – CheadleI visited Zouk last weekend with a large group of friends. It was very busy night but the food quality and the service we received were outstanding, there were no long waits at all. Very courteous staff+excellent food=winning combination. We will be going there again this weekend. Would recommend this place to anyone who loves a good Indian curry!
Zouk Tea Bar – Manchester City Centre12 months ago, I did not know the existence of The Fisherman's Retreat. Now, I'll tell anyone who'll listen how absolutely brilliant the restaurant is. We recently had a simple civil registry wedding in Bury and as such started researching restaurants in the area for an intimate lunch for 15 people. This is when we stumbled across this restaurant. We firstly went to check the place out on a Sunday and were so impressed with the food, I told my husband this is where I wanted to have our lunch. We spoke to the owner's son and he couldn't do enough for us. We had our wedding lunch two weeks later and it was just superb. They set up a private area for us and decorated the tables beautifully. We enjoyed a champagne reception outside in the sun for a little bit. All our guests were so impressed with the food and service. We have since returned several times, taking our guests and everytime the food is just superb. We plan to have another party during Christmas. Keeping in mind that we have to travel over 40 minutes to get to this restaurant, its well worth it!
The Fisherman’s Retreat – RamsbottomGreat Ramen noodles after a dreadful shopping experience.
Tampopo – Trafford CentreTwo of us went on a Saturday night, busy, noisy, but we could hear each other across the table. Good food (we had tapas), very good service. Some dishes could have been warmer -they should heat the bowls they arrive in. Order a few then order some more rather than all at once and get some bread for the sauces too. We had a great evening and would go again - but not as a large party because you wouldn't be able to hear everyone.
La Vina – Manchester City CentreYum yum yum - great menu catering for all requirements - whether you're in a hurry or not. Great selection, nice interior, went for Sunday breakfast
Katsouris – Manchester City CentreNo longer the best kept secret in town. The plaudits are totally justified. I have eaten here since it opened and the quality remains the same. The most authentic thai restaurant by miles eg pad thai served with the proper accompaniments and the vermicelli noodles so heavenly. The staff are fantastic. Favourite dishes ( difficult to choose a few! ) , sweet corn cakes, crispy coriander beef, deep fried scallops, duck salad, chicken pad thai, beef in garlic and pepper, pork in red curry soup with noodles.THE BEST RESTAURANT WITHOUT A DOUBT.
