Came here tonight with a visitor to Stockport. The Kalimari was exquisite and everything tasted authentic that made for a `good mood` feeling both with the cosy ambience and in the tummy. Indeed a `hidden gem`.

Rozafa Taverna – StockportMyself and my Family have visited the Golden Lion several times. We are so pleased with everything we are looking to bring a party of roughly about 15 people on Sunday 15/02/2009
Golden Lion – SwintonThis is my 3rd visit to this restaurant. I have taken different friends on each occasion and everybody has really enjoyed it. Great value for money. Food excellent! Cosy, friendly restaurant tucked away in Stockport. A little gem. I have been to some very popular (expensive) Greek/Mediterranean restaurants in M/c and food here is by far the best.
Rozafa Taverna – StockportSapporo Teppanyaki - Awesome food, brilliant service, fun, flames and flying fried potato, done! I went for my birthday on the 4th of feb, just need another excuse to go again! If your considering going all i can say is - just go, you wont regret it! Its gone straight to the top of my favourite places to eat out list.
Sapporo Teppanyaki Manchester – Manchester City CentreI won't be recommending The Lounge to anyone! Our visit on Friday 6th Feb 09 was the worst experience we've probably ever had, no really! Poor service, no atmosphere, loud noise and management's attitude when we complained were all what you don't want when your out. On arrival, we enquired about waiting times, '20-25mins' so we ordered a beer. After several enquiries, numerous excuses but no apology and a gruelling 75mins we eventually sat down, adjacent the kitchen entrance and staff loitering area. We should have gone with our instinct after 50mins but as it was our first visit, we gave it the benefit of doubt. How sorry we were!!! I could go on but won't. Our opinion is if you want poor service with an attitude and to sit next to the kitchen entrance, get served a tough steak without a steak knife go here, otherwise find somewhere else.
The Lounge – RamsbottomAfter reading reviews on Koh samui i decided to treat my best friend to a meal as she has been my support through really bad times over the past year. I knew she loved thai so thought i would take her out to say Thank you. The meal we had was lovly and the service was great. As i like to eat out alot it was important to me that the food tasted good, which it did. However, when we received the bill, i noticed that i had been charged £6.45 for some plain fried noodles. I could understand paying up tp £3.00 for some noodles in restaurant but not almost £7.00 - you wouldn't even get charged that in London! I told the waiter serving us thinking there must have been some misake but they said that's how much it costs. They were very polite about the situation which is more than i can say for their manager! We asked to speak to the him but he was too busy eating in the restaurant alone to come and talk to his customers. In the end, i paid the bill as he had no intention of coming over to us. When were leaving, i told him that i will be writing a bad review, not on the food or service but on his attitude to which he laughed and said o.k! I was disgusted by this because he obviously didn't care one bit. We will not be returning there due to this and will be letting as many of our connections know about this. Thank you for your time.
Koh Samui Thai Restaurant – Manchester City CentreWent last week on works party. The service was excellent and the food was mouthwatering. Good selection of wines too. Enjoyed it so much going again this week. It has to be my favourite restaurant around Wigan.
Gallimores – WiganI thought that the Copper Pot was overrated until i went with my son. It was excellent and this restaurant just gets better and better every time i go I LOVE IT.
Copper Pot – Rochdalethis is our favourite restaurant ever and believe me we have eaten in a lot of places. The food is brilliant every time and so is the service.........i would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Persia Grill House – Chorltonhi we use the china lounge weekly as they do a take away service as well, the food is always lovely and hot, the staff are very friendly and always happy to help i would recommend it strongly.
China Lounge – WhitefieldPity you don't have another box for dissatisfied customers as I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND the Wiggin Tree - meal took over 1 and half hours to be served to table after asking about the slow service and if there were any problems in the kitchen. When it arrived it was poor to say the least and the fries were only warm and looked like they had been sitting around for half an hour. We ordered coffee - makes no difference what you order, you get a bog-standard version which takes another 25 minutes to get to table. Take my advice, choose somewhere else for your pub lunch. :(
Wiggin Tree – WiganBrilliant. Soup and sandwich offer especially good. Everything tastes fresh and home made and if you don't have waistline problems the rag pudding is superb.
Baum The – RochdaleWe have been coming to this restaurant for over ten years (no joke) and after having tried others in the area I would not go anywhere else. The surroundings are clean and warm - nothing trendy but the food is fresh, hot and excellent value for money. The staff are always extremely courtesy and friendly. Of all the chinese in Manchester this is far my favourite
China City – Manchester City CentreThe restaurant is only a short walk away from clubs and the pubs of Bolton, but in a good place as not to be disturbed by the crowds on a weekend. There are a couple of side streets and car parks close by to park on. There is a large selection of foods to choose from on the menu, both meat and vegetarian.I particularly like the fish dishes and pasta dishes. The one set price is to eat as much as you want and as long as this is not taken advantage off, you are fine. You can order desserts and coffees at a reasonable price and you will not be disappointed. There is a nice wine menu and the house wines are lovely also number 13 the rose wine is so easy to drink. Not forgetting the sangria which is served by the glass or pitch. They are currently extended upstairs where there is a separate room which when finished will be ideal for families or parties etc.
La Salsa – Horwichwe found giraffe through a mention in Heat mag, and decided to go after work. Firstly, the staff were brilliant, made us feel really welcome & talked to us about the menu and made some recommendations etc - we chose well, nachos to share as a starter which came with all the usual toppings but taster fresher than i remember from elsewhere, the chicken schnitzel burger (how massive??) and the spicy turkey enchilada which had the boyfriend quiet for 10 mins. we had a couple of cocktails in their 'barbuddy' 50% off thing midweek and overall an excellent night and i would highly recommend this place over any other restaurants in the area. it's got the x factor for sure!
Giraffe – Spinningfieldsexcellent food . good service. loved the chef special kingprawn jafrani, and special balti thawa . also excellent value for money on Sunday night special for 8.95.
Cinnamon Tree Restaurant – CheadleI have visited the ancora on several occasions and have never been disappointed, from family meals to just the 2 of us! The steak was cooked to perfection and the ribs are to die for, if you want a local restaurant with a lively atmosphere and fantastic food look no further than the ancora!
Ancora – OldhamSat 31st January. Restaurant freezing cold. Service abysmal, Starters passable, main course abysmal. Veg was inedible. Half of restaurant closed off, not many customers in, looked as though there was no chef on duty and the few staff (we only saw 4) were trying unsuccessfully to cope
