Ruposhi Indian Restaurant – BuryI can't believe it's 2 yrs since the last review of this superb venue, which allows you to park right outside the door for free (It's £6 one mile away in chinatown + trying to find a parking spot, errr, no contest) There was a special 50% off banquet for £13.50, which included crispy shredded duck & about 5 main courses as there were 4 of us (NOT available at the moment Dec2011-Jan2012) but we will be returning anyway this month. Staff/Venue/Location/Value for money all superb. The bonus in the day is that you can also spend some time wondering around the isles of the Wing Yip Supermarket on the ground floor, again highly recommended. Go on, make an afternoon of it, we did & we will be doing it again...
Glamorous – Northern QuarterWe are regulars at La Roma and always find it a great night due to both the food and the atmos within the place. We recently ate at La Roma on Christmas Day and Steffano's staff made it very enjoyable day. The food was superb and the staff did everything they could to make it a great day.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonEverybody has their favourite place for a pizza, we can argue for hours on where the best pizza is sold. I have found the ultimate neapolitan pizzeria in the heart of Manchester. The pizza chef is from Naples, he trained and learnt how to cook the perfect traditional pizza in Naples. He makes his own bases. His tomato sauce is fresh daily using sweet tomatoes perfect for pizza sauces. They have an fire oven that reaches over 400c that makes the crispiest base imaginable. Prices as you would expect are really reasonable. A margherita costing £6.50. this place will make you rethink how pizzas should be done and done properly. Go check it out, you will thank me.
Per Tutti – Manchester City CentreLovely restaurant in a prime position on main road, authentic quality Turkish food and very nice staff, never booked but always managed to fit us in but would advise booking for Saturday nights.plenty of choice,as good as anywhere in city centre Manchester.
Istanbul Grill – Prestwichwent into double tree on new years day.the quality of both food and service was the best i have ever experienced and look forward to our next visit.the prices are very reasonable and good value.not a bad pint either !
Double Tree Indian Restaurant – AltrinchamI was very wary of this place as i had heard so many bad things about it, but when i read the reviews i thought i would give the place a chance but now wish i hadn't. I invited my family to come and join me for a birthday meal, the food was very bland and it seems they could not cope with a large number of orders as they were very unorganised. We had all ordered starters and mains, the waiters then sang happy birthday to me with my cake which a family member had bought but to my surprise the manager would not let me cut the cake and share it out. We had spent a lot of money in this restaurant and all the manager could say was i don't want to loose money on my deserts, well let me tell you not a one of us bought desserts, after this we left in amazement we will never go to this place again
Sottovento – BoltonBooked Sole for my husbands birthday and took some friends with us. Have eaten out in many top class restaurants in Manchester but I can easily say this was one of the best meals I have had. We had a selection of dishes including soup, seafood, beef and fish. Every dish was so tasty and the chef is so passionate about his food. The staff were friendly and very attentive. I would recommend anyone to go especially if you are looking for good food and a good night. The restaurant has only been opened since December 2011, we will be going back.
Sole Seafood Restaurant & Bar – Manchester City CentreGarlic mushrooms to die for! Excellent service with friendly staff and a nice homely ambiance. Will definitely return sooner rather than later. Yummy, yummy, yummy.
I went to per tutti with my girl-friends.we all eat out on a regular basis together and we agreed this was the best place to eat in Manchester.the food was of excellent standard and tasted even better. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to other friends and we will definitely be visiting again.
Per Tutti – Manchester City CentreA friend and i popped in here after Xmas shopping, very friendly atmosphere. Homely & very reasonably priced for good quality food.
Ciao Napoli – Boltonbrilliant service, amazing food 10/10
India Gate – BoltonMy husband and I have just walked out of this place, after waiting over 45 minutes having placed our order for two cold drinks and a couple of food orders which were off the menu and uncomplicated. The cafe was busy when we arrived and we took a table that had just been vacated. In the whole time we were there the table was not cleared of the previous occupants dirty plates which we eventually cleared ourselves. We also had to wipe the table ourselves. Upon the table next to us walking out and commenting that they had still not been served, i enquired with the woman behind the counter, when we could expect to receive our order. She said she didn't know. I told her to please find out or we would be leaving. She came and told us they hadn't even started. At that we left. This place describes itself as "laid back" i would comment that it's all very well having a laid back atmosphere, but this cannot be matched by a laid back attitude to service if a business is to survive. I doubt this lot will unless they pull their socks up massively!
Mary & Archie – DidsburyThe perfect place for any Xmas party! WOW! Grill on the Alley made our office party the perfect way to end the year! We had a fantastic night with fantastic food, great cocktails and embraced the brilliant ambiance all night. The only negative of the evening was it had to end! A sure thing we will be back next year!!
The Grill On the Alley – Manchester City CentreWe took a family of eight on new years eve we had to book and pay a deposit but it was worth it .great food 3 courses and drinks for £20 each good value.
Buraq – WiganRude workers with the person taking orders over the phone stopping half way through to pick up his mobile phone! Deliverer asking for a good few pounds more than it should have been (luckily worked out before he arrived). Food was poor and relatively cold considering it was here within 30mins. Do not order from here.
Best Recipe – ChorltonWhat a lousy night outside, but inside a warm
