The Orange Tree Tapas – AudenshawMe and my family visited the orange tree tapas for a family birthday. All together there were 9 people in our party. Between us we tried numerous different dishes from the menu. Each dish was superb. We all thoroughly enjoyed dining there. We found the staff warm and welcoming, well worth a visit. Would strongly recommend the sardines, the ribs are a winner too.
The Orange Tree Tapas – AudenshawThis has to be the best value meal i have ever had. I go 3 times a week now and every sunday. In all my times of eating out this is the best, and i mean the best. I have even booked my xmas dinner, 3 course. I was introduced to the mickerbrook two months ago and i would never go anywere else. I always bring my family on a sunday and i am bringing them for xmas dinner. Booked under the name of mc gillion. I like eating out and mickerbrook would take some beating. I would not go anywhere else now. Nice staff very friendly clean and very prompt. Fantastic value you could never cook it yourself for that price. When my family visit i bring them down on a Sunday. Mrs Mary murphy and Mr seamus mc gillion
Micker Brook – CheadleWe have visited La Lupa twice in the last 2 weeks. It was so good the first time we went back and were just as delighted. You don't need to go to Manchester it's right here in Stalybridge. You can feel the love coming out of the kitchen. Mmmmm
La Lupa – StalybridgeWe were in San Carlo's last Wednesday and noticed the atmosphere was abnormally busy for that time of the week, we were informed by one of the waiters that it was due to the fact that JLS were dining just a couple of tables away from us! When we exited the restaurant we got caught up in a paparazzi flash storm trying to capture the footballers coming out of the restaurant, it was just like being in New York! The busy atmosphere did not, however, tar the service or quality of the food which was exquisite as always. We had a very glamorous night out and the whole experience further emphasised what a credit the restaurant is to Manchester.
San Carlo – Manchester City CentreJust had Sunday Lunch at the Horse & Jockey while over from Middlesbrough to visit our daughters - no mashed potatoes, but the other veggies more than made up for it, and it was one of the best Sunday lunches out that we've ever had. Nice surroundings and friendly staff too - will definitely go again!
Horse and Jockey – ChorltonThe Brew house falls in the gastro pub category for sure and in my opinion is 1 of the best examples in the area. With the resurgence in gastro pubs over the past few years, it’s difficult to stand out from the crowd, but The Brew House certainly does stand out for the following reasons: - The food is amazing! I had the beer battered fish and chips with mushy peas and tarter source. The portions are hearty as they should be in a gastro pub and everything was made from scratch Inc the Hand cut chips, fresh tarter source and the most amazing mushy peas. For desert I had the wild berry cheesecake which was fantastic and light and the base nice and crunchy. - I'm not one for real ales and bitters, but the micro brewery is very impressive and a nice back drop whilst sat eating your meal. - Most of the menu seems locally sourced, seasonal and made to order. The head chef even found time to come to our table to see how we found the food. All in all, the Brew House is one of the best gastro pubs I have ever been to and is well worth a visit. Enjoy.
The Brewhouse – BoltonReally nice wine bar/eatery with friendly staff. Good food and good atmos. Perfect for a night with friends when you want to combine a few drinks and a nice feed.
The White Room – WhitefieldFour of us ordered bread, olives, tapas to start and 2 mains to share. A mixed experience, some of the tapas were very good and tasty (gambas, lamb), but the portions were tiny and the prices high. The paella was £15.95 and poor value, also overcooked. Our other main dish was the duck, for £15 we got a very small portion. We ended up being quite irritated with the number of staff who kept coming round asking if we were OK and whether we wanted more drinks - and also they made some mistakes with our order. Have been to better tapas places, won't be returning.
Ambiente – WorsleyAfter being recommended from a friend we were more than impressed with Ambiente last night. The food was devine, more fine dining than the usual tapas. We shared a couple of tapas to start & then moved on to the raciones. Whilst all the dishes were very flavoursome & beautifully presented, I can not recommend the filletitos highly enough. We then hit the bar & spent the rest of the night annoying (many) fabulous cocktails. A truly great little find. Thanks guys.
Ambiente – WorsleyPetra restaurant is the best. I'm very choosy with food on top of that I have a funny stomach.I have always enjoyed the food at Petra. The staff are very nice ,friendly atmosphere and the food is great.Try the dish Maqlouba, its my best or Shawarma or the homemade sausages or side dish starter"Tahina",the fish. They are all equally tasty , fresh and in generous portions. I highly recommend it to everyone who likes good food .
Petra – RusholmeWe have visited the Sables Restaurant many time over the past two years. The food is fresh and well presented. The home-made soups and desserts are fantastic (with none of your bulk bought frozen food at this establishment) Tim the proprietor and chef takes pride in his work providing a good variety of food at both lunches and evening meals A great little restaurant at very reasonable prices
Stables Restaurant – Hydecalled in last fri by chance and should have walk past have been eating in manchester for over 25 years and this has got to go down as one of the worst yet my wife left her starter and main it was that bad she had to buy something to eat on the way home never again duncan
Dough Pizza Kitchen – Northern QuarterVisited Rosso twice since it opened two weeks ago and have to say I'm impressed. Great venue, fantastic service and the food is amazing. Try the steak with truffle mash - it's out of this world! Good place to visit just for a drink too, the cocktail bar has a good atmosphere and wide selection of favourites, all with a modern twist. Would highly recommend checking it out.
Rosso – Manchester City Centreall i can say about the orange tree is its well worth the wait, lovely cosy feeling, food was amazing well done to all the staff you will be seeing myself and my family again....
The Orange Tree Tapas – Audenshawwe have been to cinnamon on many occasions as we live local.we has been slightly disappointed on our last few visits and regrettably re looking for new pastures.we have felt that the service has been lazidazy , having waiting 45 mins for our bill and asking 3 different staff, with no option in the end but to get up and go to the bar to pay.we visited the Sunday buffet to be disappointed at 2 starters and 3 currys , One mild , one med , one scorcher all meat. rice and mini nan ... we felt ripped off. popadoms were extra but we were not told. mr khan is lovely but i feel things have slipped somehow.
