Food was average, waiting staff were CONSTANTLY walking past every 30 seconds, and upstairs was old folks home decor. Downstairs was lovely, and greeting staff and bar staff were very friendly.

Francos – WiganFood good, staff absolutely dreadful. In particular the Manager and owners. That is basically all you need to know. We had a special offer deal, 2 for 1, and after the manager was incredibly rude to us, we ended up being dragged into the managers office to show him the offer on the website. I couldn't believe it! Would never ever consider going back.
Stock Restaurant – Manchester City Centreconsistently great food, terrific atmosphere, friendly and genuinely welcoming staff-always a great outing!
Danilos Hale – Altrinchamwe went here for a pre theatre meal, we have never eaten this cuisine before and were really looking forward to it, even though we didn't have a clue what to order but this is all part of trying new food isn't it..... The restaurant has nice decor, great friendly staff, but i just thought the food was a bit basic and even boring, very bland and uninteresting even though the menu sounds great when reading it. I sampled 4 meals from other member of our party and still wasn't over impressed. The food was cooked ok, just lacked taste & flavour, Everything seemed to come with rice ( tasteless ) and salad ( separate piles of grated carrot, shredded red cabbage and a single lettuce leaf ) Maybe this is similar to other turkish restaurant i am not sure but i wont be rushing back to this or any other turkish restaurant.
Topkapi Palace – Manchester City CentreThe new Italian restaurant replacing Aqua is fantastic. The food was divine- especially the steak! This is what Stalybridge has been missing for years. We used to go when it was Enzo's , I am so pleased it is back as an Italian. Five star recommendation!!!
La Lupa – StalybridgeWhen there on a business dinner with customers (6 person in total) after reading the good reviews. The food was decent but the service was virtually non existence. Maybe we were not that early. It was busy but most customers have been served. I don't see why there was a need to be treated differently? Appalling attitude by 2 waiters. The manager just cover up and give lotsa lousy excuses. Will never go there again.
Giovannis – Manchester City CentreWe try to eat at this restaurant at least once a month, the food is always excellent, the staff, under the direction of manager, Faz, are polite, courteous and helpful. We would recommend Desi lounge to anyone and look forward to eating here for many more years.
Desi Lounge – FailsworthBit disappointed! Took mum and my two children who have very healthy appetites. Portions rather on the small side, great if your on a diet! Other than that; food tasted great.
Croma – ChorltonWe heard about the classical British food on the menu here and when we arrived we were not disappointed the black pudding fritters were moreish. I had the lamb shank with minted pea champ & braised red cabbage with a beautiful lamb gravy and my partner had the bacon chop which was with smoked cheese mash and peppercorn sauce. When we got to the desserts the chef obviously had fun here a chocolate & orange creme brulee and my favourite childhood memory a jam roly poly which was beautifully presented with amazing custard. I advise anyone to visit Toms at least once we will definitely be returning again and again
Mr Thomas’s Chop House – Manchester City CentreI love the bilash Balti, its great, the food is fab and the people are lovely.....im going tonight for a birthday meal, cant wait !!!
Bilash Balti House – SwintonI really enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and we enjoyed the food. The place has a comfortable atmosphere. Will likely come again.
Tokyo Season – Manchester City CentreWe went to Clough Manor on Sunday for lunch. The food was excellent and the service the same. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The chef and owners should be very proud of Clough Manor and I will certainly recommend it to all my friends.
Clough Manor – SaddleworthI've been to the Albion frequently over the last few months and can highly recommend the excellent food, great atmosphere and friendly service to everyone. Great menu - slow braised lamb shank is devine and it's nice to have the 'bar or bistro' option.
The Albion – RochdaleSeven members of Trafford Gourmet Curry Club visited the Standard at 8.30pm on Thursday 20th November 2008. We had previously tried the Blue Raj and the Kulshi and the Standard was next on our list. On our arrival the place was very busy and although we had not booked the staff found us a table without any hassle. We ordered 14 Poppadums with a choice of garnishes including one we had not had anywhere before but tasted like Strawberry Jam ( Delicious ). We then ordered mixed starters for seven plus an extra portion of Tandoori Lamb Chops, Ribs and Sheekh Kebab. They arrived shortly after we had finished our poppadums and they were delicious! After ploughing our way through the starters, for mains we ordered one Chicken Shezanne Murghi ( Hot and Spicy ) three Lamb Khari, two Taste of Shundorbon ( one chicken, one lamb) and one Chicken Tikka Masala. All the meals came together and we just about managed to polish off the lot! With lager and coffees the bill came to £127 which surprised us as we thought it would be considerably more. A free complimentary Hennessy Brandy rounded off a perfect evening. All in all we were pleasantly surprised both with the attentiveness of the staff and the quality of the cuisine. Perhaps they should change the name to Very High Standard! Thanks once again Standard for a very enjoyable evening!
Standard Indian Restaurant – UrmstonBeen going to the Far Pav for years and will continue to keep going. Nothing is to much trouble. Staff always helpful, happy and polite. If you have never been, go.
New Far Pavilion – Swinton5 stars for Lasalsa Restaurant in bolton. I been spain few times but honestly i have not had so tasty tapas else where and the price is just peanuts but the quality of food and the management is second to none. will recommend. ++++ .
La Salsa – HorwichMeany SanMinis ! We booked a table for 2 at this new restaurant but were unable to attend at the last minute due to our son being taken ill. The next day we received a phone message in which we were 'told off' for not attending and then later a phone call demanding to know why we had not turned up. I explained but even then the person was quite rude and showed no concern for anyone but himself. I understand that it is courteous to phone if cancelling but this is sometimes not possible and I do not think that treating customers like naughty children is the way to attract customers. Not recommended!
Sanmini’s – RamsbottomProbably the best Thai restaurant in the UK ? Having personally visited Thailand for my honeymoon and subsequently scoured the UK for a true authentic experience . . I can truly say that this restaurant is as close as you will get to actually being there. The management and staff are so accommodating I didn't want to leave ! I have since booked several functions there . . including business functions and family gatherings . . all of which exceeded my expectations . . well done guys, see you VERY soon !
