Yew Tree Inn – RochdaleBest chinese outside of Manchester.first class food first class service, highly recommended. The staff are always attentive and Leo is as usual "mine host". David & Michelle (Rochdale)
New China Cottage – Ramsbottomwe have been eating in asian fusion since it opened its doors.... its a great place to eat brill service, generous portions we always end up taking a doggy bag home for afters, wouldnt have a curry any where else well done boys
Asian Fusion – ChorltonVery very expensive!!! Service was interesting too... we were told that our choice of "rare" for a ribeye steak was not acceptable!!!! Food is good but don't believe all the hype. It's not worth what it costs but we'll probably go back at some stage since it probably is the best steak house in Manchester (although we haven't tried that many.)
Gaucho – Manchester City CentreI used to dine here when Alan & Karen owned it. However when they left it went a bit down hill, yes the carvery went. However the carvery is now back and only £11.00 for a 3 course meal. I have been back there 5 times now and thoroughly enjoy it. Bar meals are excellent also. Well done to the new owners
Alpine Ayingerbrau Gasthof – RochdaleI have eaten in the Leeds branch of Chaophraya several times and it was amazing every time. We went to the Manchester branch on a saturday for my birthday. The food was good, very fresh and full of amazing flavours, but definitely less plentiful than in Leeds. One other thing that really disappointed me was the liquor coffee! At Leeds they make it on a small trolley right next to your table and it's very entertaining! So I persuaded everyone to try one and after spotting the trolley near the bar thought I was in for the same treat. Sadly the coffees were just brought over as in every other restaurant and we never saw them being made. So all in all the best Thai in Manchester by far, but I'm hoping they take on a few more ideas from the original branch to give it that extra special something...
Chaophraya – Manchester City CentreGreat place to go with a party - brilliant atmosphere and the staff always go out of their way to ensure you have a good time. Try the Cheesecake - the waiter recommended it and true to his word it was amazing!!
Old Orleans – The PrintworksA friend and i visited this restaurant due to praising reviews. The food was divine, and the service was good although their was only one waiter serving several tables. We sat in the lounge area above the restaurant whilst waiting for meal to arrive (which was a nice touch!!!)highly recommend to dine here although a little pricey for a Thursday night out for your tea. (two mains and a bottle of wine £50)But would definitely return for a special occasion. Not a place really suitable for larger parties due to the size, but perfect for civilised meal for about four.
Isinglass – UrmstonI've eaten at Chaophraya both in my lunch hour and in an evening. Both times the service and food have been out of this world. Chaophraya has fast become my favourite restaurant in Manchester.
Chaophraya – Manchester City CentreWe've been here twice since it opened and have to say it makes a nice alternative to the other Italian restaurants in the area. Food is great, service is very good from the owner, relaxing ambience. I can only say keep it up cos this place has massive potential!
Olive Garden – WiganWe had a very pleasant evening at Casa Nostra. The staff were attentive but not intrusive nothing was too much trouble as they adapted the food for my dietry needs(a gluten free veggie)I had feta salad and veg rissotto and my friend garlic bread with tomato and chillies and spaghetti carbonara it was lovely , my friend said it was the best garlic bread and carbonara she had eaten in an italian in England(best one was in Rome)I recommend this restaurant it has a pleasant atmosphere and you come away with a full tummy , and you get your moneys worth.
Casa Nostra – WesthoughtonWe eat here regularly because of the excellent quality of food and service. A fantastic restaurant!
Little Yang Sing – Manchester City CentreWent for the first time June 07. It's great to have such a nice restaurant in the centre of Wigan. Food, service and surroundings are excellent. will definitely be going again.
Gallimores – WiganWe i.e. my family and friends have become very regular visitors to this family run restaurant in recent times. All that I can say is, try this restaurant and see/taste for yourself the excellent food. How many restaurants do we go to that couldn't care less about welcoming you, well no problem at Andiamo because you are always made to feel welcome and greeted with a smile. This a gem.
Andiamo – WesthoughtonWe had our wedding lunch at this beautiful little place which has lovely views. On our special day, Simon and David worked extremely hard to accommodate all our wishes and our family and friends had a marvellous day. The food was wonderful as were the wines and champagne. Whether we have something special to celebrate, we always go there.
High Moor Restaurant – WiganI have never been to a more superbly splendid restaurant; the food was divine and the service simply exquisite. I shall not bore you with details, but suffice to say the interior was aesthetically pleasing and the atmosphere lively and à la mode. Having doffed my napkin, I was faced with the bill - on the word of my associates, I had expected a severe dent in my bank balance. However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover nothing short of a reasonable price... The perfect end to a perfect evening. Bon appetite.
