Moon Indian Restaurant – DidsburyWe visited the High Moor in Wrightington for my birthday and both loved it. It is full of character with beamed low ceilings but also feels very cosy and romantic with lovely views across countryside. The meal was really lovely I had the lamb rump and my husband had the pork belly. Both delicious and the sticky toffee pudding is lovely! We would recommend a visit.
High Moor Restaurant – WiganThis was our second visit. Booked a table for 2 for 9:00 pm Saturday night. Despite being mega busy with several large groups in, we were shown to our table exactly on time. Starters were Minestrone and Plain Garlic Bread. Mains were Pizza Marinara and Baked Seabass in Light Pesto. Drinks were 2 halfs Poretti Premium. I bottle Merlot, decanted for us. Service and food were very good considering how busy it was. The bill came to £52.40 which was ok. This place has a quality feel to it, with high backed glossy leather chairs, solid wooden tables without cloths, nice floor tiling, subtle lighting and pleasant decor.
Olive Garden – Wiganyes we couldn't agree more, the Gurkha Grill is excellent,we ate there on Saturday evening,we were well catered for by attentive staff in a lovely little cosy restaurant and served delicious Nepalese dishes at a very moderate price. We will definitely be going again.Big recommendation .
Gurkha Grill – DidsburyGreat place to take the family for a very reasonable priced meal. You do not have to wait long for your meal and the mexican lamb is delicious! The staff are pleasant too. Would definitely recommend it to families for a meal.
The Owls At Standish – WiganI visited this place on a Saturday afternoon. After thinking to myself where can I go for a drink where there is no noise, traffic or drunken louts and I remembered passing the sign for the Fisherman’s Retreat. Upon arrival the girls were very friendly and accommodating. After soaking up the sun in a breathtaking setting we went inside for a meal. The food was delicious. I had a ham sandwich (on homemade bread)and the bakewell tart for afters - I don’t think I ate for a week afterwards - the desserts are a definite must. Also its nice to see a place with a fabulous wine list and a bar man who knows how to make a proper Gin & Tonic. And can I just say in reply to Ray - real mince will taste tough compared to the supermarket crap/mush im sure your used to!! Keep up the good work.
The Fisherman’s Retreat – RamsbottomWent for the early evening 5 tapas for £10.95 and we were not disappointed. The decor is fantastic and makes you feel like your on holiday. Will definitely return for Happy Hour and a full night out. Excellent
Los Amigos – StockportYou wont find a better Asian restaurant anywhere, believe me, I've looked! The staff are gentlemen, generous and are happy to cook bespoke dishes. Quality of food is top class, all made fresh to order and is made with love. If you live in Manchester and don’t go you mustn’t be well.
Gurkha Grill – DidsburyHospitality was absolutely superb. We have been many times and it goes better every time. The staff are excellent company and very entertaining and make our evening special. Tracy, Joanna, Chris and Richie are very attentive. Long may it continue!! Susan & Stephen Horridge
Pacifica Cantonese – EcclesThis place is fantastic. The place, staff and food are 100%. Superb
Pacifica Cantonese – EcclesThis is a 10 year old girl giving you this message and this is what I think of the Pacifica Cantonese in Eccles Manchester. This place is one of the best places in the entire world. I do love Chinese food and that is why my grandparents have taken me to many Chinese restaurants. So far, this is the best one I have ever been to. Honestly!! The people serving me are very kind and give me cake without me even asking for it!! The meal I have had today was enormous, trust me, and I will not have a meal that big if I do not absolutely love the food!! One day, on my birthday, I came here with my family and friends. We managed to sit in the VIP table which was excellent!! We then got served our food and when we had finished it, all of my friends(who had never been to or heard of it) were telling me and the staff how amazing the food was and how they wanted to come here again. We now come here all the time and really enjoy it. My mum is allergic to MSG which is in most Chinese food. She then asked the staff not to put MSG into the food. The staff then kindly told the chef my mum's request. My mum then came out of the restaurant with no headache at all.( That is what happens when she has MSG) That is all I have to say about Pacifica Cantonese. You should try it, believe me!!
Pacifica Cantonese – EcclesExcellent service and the food is superb - highly recommend now its under new management. Try the chunky chips !!
The Black Ladd – OldhamI Love Bar Qaua and everyone that goes in there. PROS- brill music, excellent staff, friendly faces, wide variety of drinks and shots. CONS- toilets upstairs.
Bar Aqua – WiganSet in a modern contemporary setting this restaurant really makes your evening feel extra special. The mood lighting and ambient music adds to the overall experience. The food is always hot and of exceptional quality. The service is first class and professional. This is a fine example of others to follow.
Pacifica Cantonese – EcclesThis is good restaurant. YA.
Wong-Ho Chinese Restaurant – LittleboroughAn outstanding restaurant with high quality food. Friendly staff with professional service. With an understandable five star rating. a hidden gem well worth seeking out in Eccles.
Pacifica Cantonese – EcclesEmphasis, food wise, is on quality - certainly the tapas and burgers are a few chef's hats away from the usual standard. Portions are generous and there is a warm, friendly and casual atmosphere helped along by beers from Bazens and the Marble Brewery and a jukebox from heaven.
The Knott – Manchester City Centrewell worth a visit. Friendly yet professional staff and an all round great atmosphere. The food is a bit pricey compared to similar places, but you certainly get what you pay for, it was delicious, perfectly cooked and well presented. I will be going back soon.
