Nandos is FAB! Food simple but very tasty :) And we all love Kirsty x
Nando’s – Manchester City CentreThis beautifully designed deli is the place to go if you like your coffee which washes their home made cakes down a treat. I went to a party recently and North Star had done the catering - the food was excellent! So tasty and well presented. Very different from the usual brown suspects you usually get on cold buffets.
North Star Deli – ChorltonWhat a great place to eat at, the food is so nice, i would recommend anybody there, Family Naans are the best, they are HUGE!!!! If you are round the area please try it.
Akbars – Manchester City Centreexcellent
Pizza Hut – Rochdalewe visit here very often and the staff, food and atmosphere are 1st class. my children are welcome and love going down to see the staff who over the years have become family friends. nothing is ever too much of a problem to the staff and there is always something different to try on the menu.
Spicy Hut – RusholmeWe go to Pizza express on a regular basis and as of yet we have not had a bad experience. We would recommend this restaurant to our friends, the service is excellent and it is a friendly place set back from the town centre.. We love it there Andy & Rosheen
Pizza Express – BoltonFood glorious food in this lovely little cafe in the centre of Oldham. An absolute must for curry freaks. Very casual, no license (though you can take your own) ,Don? be put off, my biggest recommendation for ages. A great find ,but don? expect a grand restaurant .It is a cafe type place with excellent service by very friendly staff, all cooked on an open range. TRY IT TRY IT!!
Cafe Lahore – OldhamIt? been absolutely fantastic, lots of spicy food. It? good every time we come. The service is excellent. Respectful service and an amazingly modest bill
Spicy Hut – RusholmeThis is the best little secret in Manchester definitely worth a visit and it has the best jukebox ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Corbieres Wine Cavern – Manchester City CentreI personally don? see what the fuss is with this place, yes you know where the steak comes from but it isn? the best tasting steak around and the price they charge is very expensive. I just think they like to charm people with the wonderful views and location and the tale of were everything comes from and for that privilege they charge you a lot more. The veg and salad is very good but the chips taste like overdone crisps and they charge you near six pounds for a dessert the beer is expensive to but kept well. Ive had the sirloin the mix grill and chilli con carne, the grill was the only one of note but for 35 pounds it should be. My partner had chilli and it just tasted of tough mince in canned tomato's. The place is lovely to visit and have a walk round and a pint maybe or they have a fantastic selection of the best whiskeys there is but although its always good to know where the food comes from it just seems an excuse to charge a lot more. There? smaller establishments that are doing the same thing for cheaper and just as good quality and i when you see the owner he just stands at the till with a pound signs in his eyes and a smug look on his face.
The Fisherman’s Retreat – Ramsbottomi was there on Wednesday evening and there was hardly any table in the restaurant i was served with poppadoms as i sit there but after waiters sat down in the end and near the window and start chatting with themselves after a guy came took my order and i got my food that was really great i never had that kinda curry in my life. Can? wait to go back again. they should improve there service because food is outstanding. Waiters should wear proper cloths, because three of them were there wearing different shirts and funny with checks.
Spicy Hut – RusholmeI was recommended Yang Sing's as being one of the best Chinese restaurants in Manchester but I disagree! Albeit the food was good, starters and main meals all came at different times and on one occasion had to ask were the rest of the meals were as the others were getting cold! Also, crispy duck and pancakes weren't on the menu which I feel is a must for a Chinese restaurant. Seen as we were there for a special occasion, I felt slightly let down.
Yang Sing – Manchester City CentreWe have been going to the Sul Lago restaurant for some years now and it as always been excellent, I have recommended it to many people.
Sul Lago – OldhamWe've been regulars for a couple of years - my kids even call Sayeed[sp?], "Grandad". Food is fantastic [TIP]Try the Lahori. You will not find a better curry in England! Service is excellent and always with a smile. Early £30's for four eating;- 2 sizzlers, 2 sauces, rice and chappatis/starters, Pops/dips and salad [the two kids sharing everything] including drinks. Unbeatable. It says it all when we go at least twice a month from Bolton
Spicy Hut – RusholmeMyself and my wife travel from Levenshulme to eat in this Tapas Restaurant, which used to be in Stockport. I can honestly say we have not eaten tapas as good as this anywhere, and believe me we have tried them all. Everything is fresh and cooked to order which you can see through the open kitchen, and all at a very modest price.
La Torre – UrmstonThe food, service and the dinning area are all fantastic - this restaurant is a place to go for that special occasion. Myself and the missus have done most of Chinatown and, Pacifica Cantonese is surely one of the top Chinese restaurants in Greater Manchester.
Pacifica Cantonese – EcclesA STEAK RESTAURANT TO RIVAL THE BEST! My boyfriend and I both love our steaks, and having heard about this restaurant tucked away in the hills, and famous for its home reared meat we thought we would give it a try. The first thing to blow you away is the setting; now I know why they call it a destination restaurant! (You will have to see for yourself to understand what I mean). Inside is a cosy place, with emphasis very much on traditional features. The menu is extensive and offers a lot of choice, but it was straight to the steak page for us! 7oz Fillet for me and a 14oz Sirloin for him. I only have a small appetite, when my plate arrived I nearly passed out, I thought I would have enough to feed me for the next few days! However, we both cleared our plates; the meal was fantastic - real chips - and the steak... lets just say, it won? be our last visit! I think Manchester has a new contender for the best steak restaurant category. I nearly forgot to mention the whisky bar, the bar man told us they have a collection of nearly 500 whiskies! A very special place well worth a mention. See you again soon!
The Fisherman’s Retreat – RamsbottomWe live in the Wirral but go to Nawaabs at least once in two weeks! The food is superb>you get a good greeting a the front door and as you enter the buzzzzzzz makes you feel at home! The slight downside is that the tables are kept a bit too close for comfort.
