the best place to eat - bar none
Gurkha Grill – DidsburyI am a regular customer of Nawaab and have been associated with them from the very first restaurant they opened. The food is really good halal of course which is the most important thing for us to see, it is very cheap and u get a lot to eat in only 10 quid?. I would recommend it to everyone just go n see for yourself .
Royal Nawaab – LevenshulmeNice, trendy restaurant, done out with great character. Service just ok and pushed together a bit with the tables. The food though was excellent and the quality of the steaks was the best I have tasted. I would definitely recommend a visit to anyone.
Gaucho – Manchester City Centrecan't beat it!
El Rincon de Rafa – Manchester City CentreWonderful meal. Particularly my main - Halibut steaks in a Red curry Sauce. Mega!
Koh Samui Thai Restaurant – Manchester City CentreVisited Koh Samui on Saturday after reading the reviews on Sugarvine. Thanks for the recommendation. We enjoyed an excellent meal. We ordered 3 starters between the 2 of us. The Thai spring rolls, chicken in pandanus leaf & the spicy Thai Beef Salad (I think my tongue is still tingling from this!). All proved to be a fine selection and set us up for the mains. My wife ordered the Thai Chicken vermicelli (v.good, but nothing exceptional to stand it above other Thai vermicelli's). I ordered the Halibut steaks in a Red Curry sauce. This was exceptional, I savoured every mouthful. All washed down with some of their Thai bottled beer which had clean crisp taste and was nicely chilled. The ambience as good only as the room seemed a little smokey. Not though people smoking, but from the kitchen. People around the restaurant were intermittently coughing, but it didn't really trouble us.
Koh Samui Thai Restaurant – Manchester City CentreDinning at Isinglass on Saturday was a very nice experience. It is the only decent restaurant in our local area and the price is excellent. Six of us dined for just over £30 each, which was 3 courses and 5 bottles of wine. Two complaints;- There was only 1 bottle of the Rijoa left at 8.45pm and one of the chairs at our table had a broken leg, and when getting up to go to the toilet the seat of the chair stuck to my skirt and had to be peeled off!!! So a few newer chairs wouldn? go amiss.
Isinglass – UrmstonI'm a regular at the Empire and it's a very pleasant experience with a relaxed atmosphere. Excellent service and food, their Hot and Sour soups are to die for!!!
Empire – UrmstonThis must be one of the best restaurants in the whole North West. Dave, Justin and Elaine create such a wonderful atmosphere and their staff are relaxed but very efficient. This puts the diner at ease. Try to visit on Tuesday nights if you like Jazz as they have live music from Jeremy Sasson and others. Dave's wine list is very well thought out and the specials board changes from week to week. I have been going since it opened and have always had good food and wine. Try the Eccles cake and custard if you have a sweet tooth, Always a favourite.
Smiths Restaurant – EcclesGenerally the food is good however the addition of several dishes of vegetables to supplement the main can prove to be expensive. Veg is cheap, owners of Bistro 221 please note, it should be included in the price of the main course as many other restaurants do.
Blacksticks Restaurant – EcclesGreat Syrian Restaurant - much better than Aladdin in Withington and from what I gather, new editions to the menu are on the way, particularly for veggies!
Petra – RusholmeMy friend got married here it was really good. It is perfect for weddings or any function, food was brill music was superb I think it? all in one of the buildings beautiful and the way its decorated just finishes it off. Worth going too.
Royal Nawaab – Levenshulmewe had a great time there
Chinese Garden – Wiganfelt like you were in Bollywood
Royal Nawaab – LevenshulmeCan always rely on Shahenshah for great food and service in a relaxed atmosphere
Shahenshah Restaurant – RusholmeCertainly the best buffet in manchester, crispy duck & pancake on both lunch & evening, proper shredded unlike other buffet where I reserve my judgement.Go worth the try!
Peking Court, The – Manchester City CentreOn this occasion we did not go to the restaurant but the restaurant came to our house with superb outside catering.
Blacksticks Restaurant – EcclesA restaurant for all the family young and old. My children always want to come here for their birthday especially for the "Special Chicken" menu. Best curry house a must to dine there
