this has a great atmosphere and the marinated meat dishes are subtle and delicious, even the rice is cooked to perfection, a safe bet on a saturday night, good place to take the mistress.

Cafe Istanbul – Manchester City CentreMy favourite place to eat in Chorlton, simple menu done very well, the quality of the food is exemplary I believe the meat comes from Frosts in Chorlton- a proper Butcher. The steaks at the bar are as good as I have had anywhere even at three times the price. Highly recommended.
Bar, The – Chorltonwe go regularly breakfast, lunch and dinner, good food, great wine list, and super staff, the ingredients are better than usual and it shows in the finished food, the place could do with a re-furb as the decor is old and grim.
Lead Station – Chorltonquite simply one of the best Thais in town, the quality is consistantly good and as an early eat on a saturday it is unsurpassed.
Koh Samui Thai Restaurant – Manchester City CentreOne of our all time faves in town, great for brunch on the weekend, never dissapoints, no pretention. just reliable, The wine list needs impoving.
Mud Crab at Grinch – Manchester City CentreReally nice place to go, food is lovely. If you don't like stairs don't go
Tiger Tiger – The PrintworksReally nice treat!!
Old Orleans – The PrintworksI have become quite a regular here over the last 2 years. this is due to the fabulous service and wonderful food. In fact I sometimes let the waiters order for me to prevent me choosing the same items all the time. I am sure there are other good indians in Rusholme but if it aint broke , dont fix it! A wonderful night out (especially if you tell them its your birthday).
Mughli Restaurant – RusholmeI really like the food here but we wen't on a quiet tuesday night and found that although we recieved our starter after 10 minutes it took 45mins for our main course!!!
Bella Italia – Manchester City CentreThis is a unique experience with a buffet for starters main courses and sweets. It is a fixed price for as much as you want. There is an incredible choice laid out in covered serving dishes. All dishes tried were superb and just ready to eat. There are many vegetarian dishes and every type of meat dish. The layout and size of the restaurant is also unique in my experience.
Royal Nawaab – LevenshulmeThe best steak I?e ever eaten in the UK, indeed you would have trouble matching it in Argentina itself. Situated in cool, contemporary surroundings without any pretentious behavior from the staff. Fantastic.
Gaucho – Manchester City Centrei went with my girlfriend on a friday night. the food was excellent and so was the service. try the pene dialto superb.
Bella Italia – Manchester City CentreA very good and popular italian with a relaxed atmosphere and very friendly staff. The kind of place you could stay all night (if there weren't a queue waiting for tables....) Only down side is there is nowhere to escape smokers. Certainly my favourite place to eat out without any pretence. Specials board is good, but I can never resist the pizza 'pastie' calzone which is excellent (I'm such a peasant...) If there is a birthday, everybody will join in with the sing-song - you know you're with a happy and comfortable clientele when people do that sort of thing. Not for the claustrophobic amongst you.
Danilos Hale – AltrinchamHaving eaten at this restaurant on a number of occasions over the years as I am local to the area, I can certainly say that the food is both tastey and appetising. I was impressed with the choice of menu and have taken note also, that if ever I am in a hurry, then I can purchase a take-away, which I know I am going to enjoy. With best wishes, and may you trade for many more happy years.
Dilshad Tandoori – Mostonexcellent food could not fault it! going back very soon.
Kwokman – Manchester City CentreBring your own booze is fantastic. Food was very cheap - nothing spectacular but you can't argue with the value. Service was very good with friendly staff. Just try and ignore the southern students at the next table.
Cachumba – Didsburytaking a client here for lunch was an excellent idea.good food excellent wine and my company has to pay!i had the best thai fish cakes ever followed by duck which was also good.the best course was the creme brulee granny smith which was divine.my client had beef fillet main course and also expressed how good it was.this is from a food and wine expert who travels the world in search of wines for his cellar at home.the onlt black mark was the fact that we had ordered a wine from the list which the wine waiter had not noticed that it was a different year and therefore not quite as nice.altogether though a most pleasing encounter and all for 133.87 for two which was three courses coffees wine and water.
The River Restaurant at The Lowry Hotel – Manchester City CentreI have eaten here twice. The more recent visit was quite uncomfortable. The waitress seemed rude. She questioned us when we asked to look at the more expensive menu, doubting our ability to pay, presumably. Previously, the service was wonderful so i hope she was just having a bad day! The food, however, on both occassions was wonderful
