Tin Tin Chinese Restaurant – Birmingham City Centreit had been many years since i had visited St Pauls Square, after visiting The Rectory I won't leave it so long for the return visit. We paid a visit last Saturday night after several of our friends told us how good it was - to say they were raving about it was an understatement! On theirs (and the waiter's) recommendation we opted for the house signature dish of homemade beef wellington, and a crispy belly of pork. I have to say both meals were exceptional and easily justified the recommendations. Perfectly cooked and equally well presented you could not fail to be impressed. Add to that the comfortable and relaxed atmosphere and service that was attentive without being intrusive, we thoroughly enjoyed our evening and have already booked our table for our next visit and picked up a menu for Christmas along the way!
Rectory Bar and Restaurant – Birmingham City CentreI stumbled up-on this little haven in the centre of brum by chance? What a great place for a well priced but tasty meal(try the Fillet Steak, to die for!!)Wine list very good and reasonable!Next time I'm in BRUM I will be BACK.Steve Manchester.
Primitivo – Birmingham City CentreExcellent place, very affordable and food was absolutely gorgeous and the staff were very attentive throughout will def be coming here more often, have also since visited several other branches the one by the canal is great to sit outside on a nice day.
Pizza Express – Birmingham City Centrelove this place, somewhere to go and have a nice relaxing coffee on my break and i can also use my Internet for FREE!!!
Saint Caffe – Birmingham City CentreBedders is famous throughout the world and has been my first choice for 40 years. My daughter was making a television film in New York. An American on the crew asked her where she was from. When she said Birmingham he asked her whether she knew Bedders. Naturally her reply was "of course, who doesn't" !!
This Is Bedders – Birmingham City CentreVery disappointing experience. We only ordered a main course (and some garlic bread to nibble on) as we were off to see a concert in Symphony Hall. We were seated by 18:30 and placed our order. Our garlic bread arrived at the table next to us (who hadn't even ordered yet). When our neighbours ordered their food it arrived promptly. By 19:20 - we still had no food and no-one appeared to have noticed. As we had to be at Symphony Hall by 19:30 we had to leave. Hungry and having consumed a bottle of wine which only added to our hunger. When we actually stopped someone to express our dissatisfaction and to advise we would pay for the wine but had to go, there was no apology or empathy and he simply walked off to get the bill. Needless to say we didn't wait for that, we left the money on the table and walked. Considering that when we arrived the restaurant was not exactly busy (which is why we chose it) I dread to think how they will cope on a busy evening ! There was nobody actually managing the service and we were just left unattended. Being so hungry actually ruined my evening and whilst I loved the concert I was left feeling light-headed. Thanks for ruining my night Cafe Rouge. Would never go back there and would always recommend to my friends not to go there. I have never been left without a meal EVER - ANYWHERE !!
Cafe Rouge – Birmingham City Centreit's about time we had a decent coffee shop round here, i work at allsopps, round the corner but only tried it because it was recommended by Sugarvine and it's nice to have a large selection of not only coffee but organic sandwiches. well done guys
Saint Caffe – Birmingham City CentreWe frequently dine at San Carlo on Temple Street and have never had a bad thing to say about the restaurant. The service is always brilliant, the restaurant is immaculately presented and very clean and the food is delicious. I happily recommend San Carlo for any occasion - to my work colleagues who are taking clients out for lunch, to my friends and family who want to go somewhere special and with great food, or to random people on the Internet on these listing sites. Fabulous restaurant in a great city centre location!
San Carlo – Birmingham City CentreI love eating at San Carlo. My boyfriend takes me for special occasions, and it's just so special. The restaurant is in a great location - just off New Street, and next to Louis Vuitton - which means it's always packed with beautiful people. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome - from the welcome at the door, the arm around your shoulders as you walk up the stairs, the extravagant air kisses, and the pleasant service - nothing is missed by the staff at San Carlo to ensure you have a fabulous evening. The food is always amazing - I love the pasta and chicken dishes that they do. The food always comes out so quickly as well, and it tastes magnificent. I can't recommend San Carlo enough - make sure you go next time you're in the area.
San Carlo – Birmingham City CentreIt was so refreshing to find this place, unlike so many other city centre restaurants, the dining is casual and relaxed, creating a perfect atmosphere for our group. The quality and presentation of the dishes, combined with efficient and attentive service, is by far and away the best we'd encountered for a very long time. Well worth a visit and for us plenty of choice for our return visit soon!
Rectory Bar and Restaurant – Birmingham City CentreGood old traditional theatre pub. Very friendly environment & staff. Always feels safe to visit. Even get the odd star popping in from the Alexandra theatre next door. Enjoyable food at decent prices. Have a fab karaoke night Tuesdays & Fridays, (Fridays the best night!) Oh & the beers good too, especially the Guinness, best in town!
The Victoria – Birmingham City CentreHandmade Burger company offers the best range of burgers I have known and the quality is second to none. the food is thoroughly satisfying and the warm atmosphere really allows you to enjoy any kind of occasion whether it be a party or a romantic meal.
Handmade Burger Co – Brindley Place – Birmingham City CentreI love eating at San Carlo - the staff always make you feel so welcome, and the food is delicious. Their special board always has different dishes on it - which is nice, as I seem to eat there often - and they never fail to disappoint. I recommend their fish dishes - they're always fresh and taste really great.
San Carlo – Birmingham City CentreIn a word - Outstanding! Glynn Purnell has been let loose with his creative freedom with his own venture in the City Centre and it can only serve to improve people's palattes. 3 of us went for Saturday dinner and opted for the 3 course a la carte (having tried the gastronique surprise last time), the desserts all sounded so tempting that we ordered all 4! Every single one of the ten different dishes we had were spectacular - even the amuse of cucumber sorbet, Ras El Hanout cream and mint oil was sublime. Service was friendly without being too familiar or indeed, too stuffy which you can find in some high-end dining establishments Purnell's is the kind of place that not only do I want to go back to, but my mouth is already watering at the prospect of doing so.
Purnell’s – Birmingham City CentreMy wife and myself have visited this restaurant twice in the last two weeks, i must say it must be at the very top of the Indian curry restaurants not just in Birmingham but nationally. Food especially anything lamb is superb, melt in your mouth and freshly spiced, tandoori starters also excellent quality, service is excellent also, costs also good value, nothing spared using first quality ingredients, we will be making it our number one Asian restaurant, i hope others try this one, you will not be disappointed
Jojolapa – Birmingham City CentreAthens Greek restaurant, Paradise Circus....Great food..but spoiled as food was served on cold plates, busy waiter, slow service, NO price list on Main Menu list.
