Vine Inn – StourbridgeMy wife and I had lunch at the Vine yesterday 6.4.2024 Food and service excellent. Nice and relaxing.
Vine Inn – StourbridgeThe Vine is certainly the best restaurant in the Bromsgrove and Hagley area. The menu is different from the local places and the specials are really special. My family and I always look forward to a visit to the Vine although there is stiff local competition. The food is always beautifully cooked and the service is always prompt, friendly and helpful. In all my visits I have never had any cause for criticism or complaint. Long may it Thrive
Vine Inn – StourbridgeGreat food as always, service is really good too. My only gripe with this visit is where we were sat. We were placed by the back door and next to the higher platform with spindles. We were not comfortable sitting there, especially when there were other free tables (although there were only 2 of us and the other tables were for 4). I had booked too, although last minute. We eat here often as the food and service are so good.
The Red Lion – CoventrySunday lunch in terms of food and service was excellent. All courses were cooked to perfection. Table was next to entrance door so restricted area to sit in. In cold weather would have been draught. There was disruption to the meal with customers entering and leaving. Difficulty in reading menu with poor lighting and menu print was in light colours. Would have been better in black print.
Vine Inn – StourbridgeA first visit after reading positive review but very disappointed. Service with a scowl pretty much sums up the experience . Our starters were thrown on the table in front of us, and I mean thrown ! No request as to who was having which dish Our main courses arrive and upon polite request for cutlery we where given 1 adult knife and 2 children’s ( we were 3 Adults) It was clear the young lady concerned was having a bad day but instead of addressing this the other staff gave her a wide birth. The food was ok the starters were not good value for money , the main was disappointing . With plenty of near by competition then a big improvement is required.
The Red Lion – CoventryAlways made welcome, prompt service but not pushy, well prepared and presented food in a relaxed atmosphere. A place to return to without hesitation.
Vine Inn – StourbridgeFirst visit for us and we weren’t disappointed. All the staff were very pleasant. Although it was busy our food arrived in good time. There was a decent selection on the menu and reasonably priced. We all enjoyed our choices and no complaints. Only suggestion I would recommend is to have a few lighter desserts on the menu, (pana cotta, crème brûlée, pavlova, etc. )as we were quite full but had a little bit of room for a something light, but the only desserts on offer were quite heavy. All in all we had a very pleasant experience and we will definitely be returning
The Red Lion – CoventryWe eat here a lot and have never had any issues, however the service was very poor on our most recent visit. The food was as good as always but we were asked if we wanted any sauces and they were not brought to our table, we had to go up and ask for them again. At the end of the meal, dessert menus were brought over but after 20 minutes, nobody had come to take our order, so we decided to get the bill. When the bill came it was quite expensive and when I checked it, it wasn’t our bill.
The Red Lion – CoventryThis was my first visit to The Red Lion and I will definitely visit again. It is a lovely, comfortable country pub, well signposted and easy to find with a large amount of free parking, an extensive menu and great staff. Service was quick, even though it was busy and we were not rushed at all, but staff made sure we had everything we needed and were happy with our order. Portions are generous, so bear that in mind when visiting. I am more than happy to recommend this pub.
The Red Lion – CoventryVery nice

The Red Lion – CoventryFantastic Local Pub, great food and excellent customer service. Hidden gem
Vine Inn – StourbridgeI always enjoy going to the Red Lion and I would usually be writing a rave review for the but, unfortunately, on this occasion I can't. As usual, I had the Red Lion version of Hunters Chicken. Its usually very juicy and tasty. Monday night it was dried out, hard and the cheese congealed. I didnt complain at the time as I was out with my brother. Everything else was fine including my brother's meal. It won't put me off going again as its the first time the meal has not been up to your usual standard.
The Red Lion – CoventryHad an amazing time on Friday evening celebrating mine and my friends husband’s birthday Food was excellent Staff extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful Was that nice I went back the following Wednesday for lunch with my sister Extremely good value again great service and excellent tasty food Would highly recommend
Da Gino – Sutton ColdfieldExcellent food however felt very pressurised to select our menu choices., Understanding that the table would need to be available after two hours not 90 minutes! A wonderful choice of specials however rushed through so quickly impossible to select so quickly. Printing the special options would be far more relaxing!!
Da Gino – Sutton ColdfieldGreat pub in a lovely location. Friendly welcome and service and delicious food. Looking forward to another visit soon
