Flute – HalesowenComplete let down. Dire food. Jack of all trades master of none would be apt. Don't waste your time or money.
Duet Cuisine – Fort DunlopThe service was not good for the price, the staff seemed interested when we walked in, but as soon as we ordered our food they forgot about us. Poppadoms where on our table, but no sauces (wrong table). Nobody asked us how our food was or the service, once our starters had finished they didn't replace our knives (we had to steal some from another table). They seemed only interested in paying attention to what looked like their regulars. The food was OK, not great and definitely not good for the price. We ordered a desert and they didnt bring it to us and in the end we were running late for our film and had to rush out.
Rajdoot Tandoori – Birmingham City CentreReally good service, the food was not what I as an Asian would go for, though the traditional dishes were done to a T. Great atmosphere, staff really friendly and I'd say all in all it was a rather pleasant experience...
Lasan Restaurant – Birmingham City CentreI had the best fish and chips I've ever had from this chip shop, I'll definitely be going again! To the other person who left the review saying they use beef dripping, I asked and they don't they use pure vegetable oil which is also free from hydrogenated fats, so thumbs up there!
Dads Lane Fish and Chip Bar – Moseleybooked up for xmas as its the cheapest place around, love the way food is so quick and vegetables so fresh must be out a bag !! Roll on the buy one get one free
Blake Barn The – Sutton Coldfieldwent in this place yesterday and had a meal that was very forgettable, poor service and in my eyes at £19.47 for 6 people including a jug of tapwater very pricey. Anyway have already booked for christmas so will try again
Blake Barn The – Sutton Coldfieldwe recently visited on a recommendation from a colleague (thanks Blakey)and had a great time. Food was excellent made all the better as it was such good value, this being important as I'm not known for flashing the cash. Anyway we have booked for Christmas and look forward to much of the same value. Thanks to all the staff (any chance of a discount?)
Blake Barn The – Sutton ColdfieldThis place was totally awesome, I went there with a couple friends. I can’t believe we found a total gem after a great night out there is nothing like so quality food. I really enjoyed the mouth-watering food…I loved the Stuffed Pepper I had for starters…so yummy and what can say about this dish Sathkore gosht so tasty, there friendly waiter recommend this dish…totally amazed and we can t forget the lightest naan breads i’ve ever tasted. I am totally hooked with this place. Definitely going back again.
Harborne Tandoori Restaurant – HarborneAthens is a fantastic restaurant the food was outstanding i don't know what say cause it was so nice the entertainment was amazing the belly dancer was great even i had a go the Greek and Italian food was phenomenal the service was outstanding and so were the waiters the smashing plates was so good i smashed 20 of them and i felt good i stayed all night until early hours i had the best night ever u have got to go there
Athens Restaurant – Birmingham City Centregreat food. Really enjoyed it.
Amer Tandoori Restaurant – Balti TriangleThe boil in the bag capital of the pub world. Service very quick due to this method of cooking so would recommend it for those with a busy life style. Wicked.
Blake Barn The – Sutton Coldfieldnot my take on Asian food, however the food was interesting and different.
Lasan Restaurant – Birmingham City Centrei like the kebabs that much i travel from Worcester to get one.
Marston Green Fish Bar – SolihullGreat place for any fan of Middle Eastern food, especially Iranian food. Iraqis love this place as it is closer to their food than Lebanese restaurants. The dough drink is superb (Salty/Soury Yogurty drink). Downside, No Alcohol. Which discourages many of my English friends from attending. Having said that, it serves the best Iranian food compared to other Iranian restaurants I've been in.
Shiraz – EdgbastonTreating my mother to an evening out, we chose this venue above the other establishments on St Paul’s Square. We were seated very quickly; our order taken (19:37); drinks and garlic bread arrived promptly but after 20 minutes our main course still hadn't arrived. When I finally managed to catch the attention of one of the waiters, he advised that the meal was on the way; it arrived at 20:30. By this point, we were fed up of waiting so left, only paying for our drinks. The manager was very apologetic but I was really disappointed. I'd eaten here before, albeit some years ago, and really enjoyed the experience. But I WILL NOT be dining here again.
Pasta Di Piazza – Birmingham City CentreMy friends & I have been going to Sundarbon for about 2 years & have enjoyed both the food & the ambiance. That is until recently. On the last two occasions, the owner/manager has been verbally rude to us, demanding we leave as soon as we finished our main courses. We were not asked whether we wanted anything else, just handed the bill & told to vacate the table. Last week, within an hour of arriving, we'd finished our main courses & were being told to leave. There were a number of adjacent tables, which were not given this treatment. The difference? We are a party of 3 women. The other tables all had at least one man in attendance. We were not displaying any anti-social behaviour. A clear case of sexual discrimination. We will not be returning.
Sundarbon – Selly OakWe live in the south now but when ever the chance arises we go back home to Birmingham and head to Stirchley for a decent Balti. We went at 6pm on Saturday night, there was plenty of room to sit which was nice, as no crowds, also with the no smoking policy now it was even better. All the waiters were very smartly dressed and very polite, and extremely efficient. The place was very clean. We ordered a starter each, which were excellent. Then we ordered 2 Balti's, I have to say even though it was nice it was not the best one I have ever had, for me the Balti Bizzare has the edge on the balti's in Stirchley. Over all a very good meal, and the Naan bread was very nice and very large.
