Casa Italia – SandwellWe have driven past many times but called in for the first time yesterday. We had to wait a little while to be seated but we had not booked so I suppose you would expect that on a busy Sunday afternoon. The food and service were excellent and although the price was a little more than I would like the quality made it good value. There are not many places where I would look forward to going back but this is one of them.
Buffet Island – ErdingtonWhat a delightful place. The food is great, the wine lovely and the staff friendly. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants a romantic venue.
La Plancha Spanish Tapas and Cocktail Bar – MoseleyFood was delicious. Service was excellent. Would definitely go back again
La Caverna Restaurant and Hotel – YardleyNot the place to go for a quite, romantic evening as the restaurant is brightly lit and noisy. The food, however, is what you would expect of authentic Italian food; clean to the palate. The waiters are Italian, always a good sign, and their service is prompt. The food is prepared, and cooked, in sight and I have yet to hear of anyone who has been disappointed. Children are welcomed, although there are no baby changing facilities. Much recommended.
Pizza By Goli – Sutton ColdfieldI have been to this restaurant three times, my partner took me for a surprise the first time and all I can say is that you get a feel of Italy it's self. I last went there for my sister in laws birthday and all of the waiters came and sang Happy Birthday to her. They really do make an extra effort it was Saturday night and very busy. This is a very good place to eat. And Afterwards you are a five minute walk away from the Jam House if you fancy a dancing of that food.
Pasta di Piazza – Acocks GreenFantastic food, thats looks fresh and tastes great. The presentation is what makes the difference, with fresh, real ingredients visible. The service can be slow, you might think they have forgot you sometimes, but it makes for an unhurried evening. Take aways are just as good and ironically arrive quicker.
Juboraj – ErdingtonAwesome restaurant.. The best Indian I?e been too! Staff are very friendly & can't do enough for you. Place is clean & has a very upper class awe, without the upper class pricing!! The food... well, can't describe it highly enough.
B26 Food Of India – SheldonVisited with 40 colleagues from work just before Christmas, so you can imagine how busy it was - the staff were fantastic, food was divine. Everyone had a wonderful time. I'm not from Birmingham but if i was visiting again, i would definitely return to Thai Edge.
Thai Edge – Birmingham City CentreDuring peak hours, the food and service is excellent. Some issues with food quality and availability if you go in the last hour or lunchtimes midweek.. Also annoyed at the practice of putting a fiver on prices during the festive period.
Wok’s Hall – SolihullMy friends and I visited La Fibule after recommendations on this website. Thank you! We had a fantastic night out. Due to being busy, the earliest booking we could get on a Saturday night was 9.30pm. We got moved tables twice but ended up at the top of the restaurant at the low tables. We all loved these tables, but they may prove problematic for tall people. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. So much so that it took us until 10.30pm to get our food. It was worth the wait - delicious. The meat was tender with fabulous flavours and the vegetarian option was cooked perfectly. Our side orders came out at different times but this meant we could enjoy it as it came along. We also waited quite a while for our after dinner drinks. Highly recommend the mint tea. We finally finished around 12.30. Go and sample La Fibule - but make sure you have a whole evening free to truly relax and enjoy the meal and atmosphere.
La Fibule – MoseleyHaving frequented many Birmingham restaurants. I was glad to find a good Italian that does good honest food without the price tag. Dinner for the six of us, entrees and mains and 3 bottles of wine, came to £15 per head. The wine list was good not too expensive either. All in all it great for a romantic dinner for 2 or a group. I will go back again and again.
Strada – Birmingham City Centrelovely meal Christmas Eve 2006 Log fire, carol singers, very memorable evening
The Kings Arms – KnowleOver the years we have eaten at Cafe Balti many times, as a family, on our own and with friends and we are always greeted warmly and served with fabulous food. Its a great place to eat and such value. Keep up the good work !
Cafe Balti – SheldonI have been making the journey from Nuneaton to the Plaza over the last few years and consistently had good curries from this restaurant. The Prawn Puri starter and Tropical Balti main course are superb. The staff are very friendly, the decor is clean but quite basic and you can take your own drinks. The only gripe I've got is that the main course is served too quickly after the starter.
Plaza – Balti TriangleIts a welcoming, friendly family place with very high standards in all areas.
Clock Cafe The – NorthfieldHave used on and of for best part of 15 yrs. Must still be the best and most consistently good Cantonese restaurant in Birmingham.
Henrys – Birmingham City CentreThe Ribs here are simply the best I have ever tasted and the Singapore noodles are divine. Don't miss the crispy duck either!
