Lovely meal, as always. Perfect view across the moors. Excellent service. Delicious food. Highly recommend you pay a visit.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnTook our grown up children for their first visit to The Dog Inn as we had always had lovely food and wanted them to experience if too. However we were disappointed with a few things (even though the food in general was excellent) - 1) the rise in prices. 2) The drinks were very slow in arriving. 3) Plus most importantly, I am a Coeliac and must eat gluten free - I asked which desserts were ok for me and was given 3 options which was good. However when my pannacotta arrived, it had biscuit crumbed all over it. I asked if the biscuit was gf and the lady was flustered and didn't seem to understand what gf was (even though she seemed to be the manager/head waitress). She whisked the dessert away and returned immediately with a new one. Not much apology given to me. Further training should be given as to the importance of gluten free as it's not just a choice of food but essential for coeliacs. If I had eaten the first dessert I would have been violently sick for the whole night.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnA delicious meal, well presented and served. Overall a good experience.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnSunday roast is absolutely delicious- always a warm welcome - staff are so friendly. An absolute fantastic restaurant
The Dog Inn – BlackburnSo nice to visit a pub that belongs to the community, and you really can tell. Service is just wonderful and heartfelt, and the food is gorgeous. Prob the best fish and chips I've ever had and the pickled onion rings are a real treat. My wife had the cheese pie and said it was amazing. It sure looked it. Proper chips.....nothing frozen, and all sprinkled in sea salt. Prices are also extremely good for such wonderful food. We will be back in the next weeks. Defo not disappointed :)
The Dog Inn – BlackburnLynne and I are delighted to support a true Community Pub. We were made very welcome, the food was excellent, the drinks very good value for money and the service was attentive without being obsequious. Lovely location overlooking the Pennine Moors from the heart of Belthorn village. We love walking in this area and will definitely return to the Dog Inn!
The Dog Inn – BlackburnLovely place with a really nice atmosphere, the staff were great and the food was some of the best I’ve had in a long time. The views are also pretty amazing. We’ll definitely be back

The Dog Inn – BlackburnGood food, very good value, prompt and friendly service. Drinks and food ordered separately which isn’t a problem except the request for glasses of water got lost. Mushroom risotto and roast duck both very good.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnBooked online it’s very quick and easy. Staff very friendly , we were seated promptly. Food excellent at a reasonable price. Would recommend.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnWe have been here twice recently. Food is amazing. There is a great variety. We love the fact you have a separate Vegan menu. It has got us trying new things and we have not been disappointed. Service for both food and drinks is great too, never waited more than a few minutes for drinks and we had the right amount of time between courses. Would definitely recommend. Great value for money.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnWent for lunch with my daughter. Food was great Had scallops to start that were scrumptious. Chose seabass for mains. Lovely but spoilt for me by a very under done duck egg.maybe thats how it was supposed to be but as it was far too snotty it leaked all over the plate spoiling the rest of the meal. My daughter however enjoyed a fantastic fillet steak.Staff great and friendly. Sun deck out back great so much so that in all we spent 8 hours there.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnFood was absolutely amazing, we went for Sunday lunch great value for money!
The Dog Inn – BlackburnAmazing as always!!!
The Dog Inn – BlackburnFood was absolutely delicious! Decor inside and colours spot on. View from where we ate looking out over to Darwen was pleasurable. Staff friendly, polite and professional. Three happy diners who chose the cheese pie and fish and chips and who intend to return for sure! Highly recommended.
