The Dog Inn – BlackburnConsistent top quality food in a very friendly village pub restaurant.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnFantastic food, spotlessly clean & overall great value for money.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnVisted the dog inn on a whim as we was waiting round for a meeting so looked on trip advisor for local good restaurants. Well we was not disappointed fantastic food the atmosphere was great the staff really friendly good to be listening to music and staff singing shows how much the staff enjoy working there. We will definitely return soon.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnAbsolutely amazing food here, so much time and effort has been put in to preparing every dish. Salt and Pepper ribs are the best I’ve ever tasted and I eat out a lot! Great food, friendly staff, and the chefs always come out to speak to the customers which is nice too!
The Dog Inn – BlackburnMe and my family went to The Dog Inn for a catch up Sunday roast. The food was amazing. The staff couldn’t do enough for you and they made you feel safe during the COVID situation. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnEnjoyed our delivered takeaway pizzas from the Avenue last night!
The Avenue Hotel – BlackburnAnother very enjoyable meal on Saturday lunchtime. 4 people with 3 very different tastes. The child enjoyed his cheeseburger and fries. He asked for milk with ice in it and that was brought very promptly. The adults were all pleased with their food. The pumpkin risotto was described as exquisite. The chicken burger was juicy and had interesting extras. The steak was cooked exactly how I like it - rare - and the tomato was so tasty.

The Dog Inn – BlackburnThoroughly enjoyed our Sunday afternoon here. We enjoyed delicious starters of pate and mushrooms. We followed with the substantial Sunday dinner and the Cheese Pie, both of which were really tasty and very filling. The bill was a very pleasant surprise. The views from our table were amazing too. Will definitely revisit soon.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnI’m not one for writing reviews but I really feel that the team a the Dog Inn deserve one . Visited her on Saturday Evening on the 3rd October. I ordered garlic mushrooms and My husband ordered the salt and pepper ribs to start. The starters arrived presentation was good the mushrooms were the best Iv tasted in a long time really yummy, my husband had ribs and he said they were very meaty and the spices were perfect and very tasty. We both had the brisket ,it melted in your mouth with a smoked taste just yummy and a very good portion size, defiantly recommend it. We finished our meal with a shared Eaton mess with homemade meringue, chantilly cream and blackberries it was not too sweet, really well balanced perfect and very yummy. Staff were very friendly and It had a good atmosphere. The bar staff came to your table for your drinks order due to the Covid restrictions but worked really well she was very happy and helpful. It’s a hidden gem but definitely worth a visit . Can’t wait to return .
The Dog Inn – BlackburnWe’ve been twice now and both times were very pleased with the food and the friendly service. We really like the vegan and vegetarian options, but everything we’ve had and we’ve seen being served looks great.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnMy wife I visited the Dog Inn, we felt safe with regards COVID-19. Tables were spaced out. We checked in using the NHS app. Both starters and main courses where wonderful. Great value for money. The only thing that was a shame was the language from staff in the open kitchen. I’ve never heard language like it, if I’d have been with someone elderly, or someone who was easily offended. We would have had to walk out. It did shock my wife and I but, we are accustomed to hearing this kind of language in the local pub. Not some thing I’d have expected from a restaurant. Plus we were the only table in the at the time.
The Dog Inn – BlackburnWe called for sunday lunch after a walk. We each had 2 courses which was excellent value for money. We also had a discount for booking in advance which was very welcome. The food was delicious the beef Sunday roast was lovely with some real differences from a standard roast. The caramelised carrot was fabulous and the roast potatoes had a lovely twist. We will certainly be returning. We initially sat in the bar but it was a little cool but the veranda was stunning .
The Dog Inn – Blackburnlove this place, amazing food , lovely staff
The Dog Inn – BlackburnWe were in the area and fancied lunch somewhere that we could take our dog. Found the Dog Inn on Google and we're so pleased we did. The best pub lunch we have had in a really long time, cooked with care and attention. The team were really friendly too. Highly recommend this place, just wish it was our local!
