If you haven’t tried this gem of a restaurant yet your missing out. First visited with friends and was impressed so returned with the OH last night. A great menu with plenty of tempting options, locally sourced produce cooked to perfection. Already looking forward to another visit
The Dog Inn – Blackburn4 of us went for a mid week meal, it was quite busy but we were soon seated and served. The food was all fantastic, very tasty and cooked to perfection. Locally produced meat and dairy products on the menu too, which is great to see. We will definitely be back!

The Dog Inn – BlackburnAnother beautiful lunch at The Dog Inn. As usual the staff were very welcoming. There were 3 adults and a 4yr old in our party. There were some lovely touches that we hadn't expected - crackers and parcel to open. I had the veg wellington for main - delicious with a spicy sauce. My son had the cheese and onion pie which he said was up there with the best and my husband had the shepherd's pie again because he liked it so much on our last visit! Starters and afters were really good too. The whole thing was a lovely experience. Looking forward to our next visit

The Dog Inn – BlackburnWhat an absolute gem this place is, just fabulous and I can say the best meal I've had in a very long time. 4 of us went on a Thursday night and had a wonderful evening with such flavoursome food locally sourced and great service in this historic and tastefully decorated pub. Keep up the good work everyone, we shall be back and we've already recommended you to lots of people.

The Dog Inn – BlackburnProper Lancashire pub with roaring log fire and proper pub grub in the restaurant next door. The beers were top notch (Pendleside was my favourite) and there's a great view at the back of the restaurant. Fish was fresh and triple cooked chips were spot on. We did have to wait a little bit too long to get served but I overheard them saying they had a rush on - good things come to those who wait....
