Superb place! Met up for New Year get-together meal with my brother and his family - 8 of us altogether. We each had something different off the extensive menu, and every one of us thoroughly enjoyed our choice. Service is friendly, attentive, but unobtrusive. Highly recommended!

Solid business which is about doing basic food well. High quality, friendly service, excellent cleanliness, good value and they really care about doing a good job. What more do you want from a chippy?

£14-50 for two fishcakes! I don't think so! No taste and apparently a seabass fillet inside-which decent chef would annihilate a lovely piece of fish in this way?

My partner and I have eaten here many times. The staff are always friendly and the place feels very relaxed. On the menu is a great range of choices to eat, not forgetting the specials menu. Tonight we are going to the Tapas night, which is very popular.

Great cheese and onion pie. Perfect pastry with a rich and delicious inside. Nicely matched with a crisp salad. Good service in very pleasant surroundings too. The wifi allowed a good business meeting and lunch combo!

Just had a very nice meal me and my mother for mothers day , the service and decor was spot on and when the biil came how cheap it was . will defo return again very soon , thank you to everyone at tiggis

Beer great, staff lovely, food gone down hill drastically. Shame used to be great prior to the extension.

Lovely night but I was really ill!! Mussels?My friends ate here a month after, really ill. Not one but two! What's going on???? Seriously.

Lovely place but there is where the compliments finish for me. The waiters are very aloof and the last time I was there we had 3 differant meals, however, on trying each one they all tasted the same. An old saying, all fur coat and no substance (changed for politness)

Food was ok. Service from the staff was very good, however the service from the management was appalling!! the manager couldn't be bothered to come over to speak to us when we were enquiring about Christmas Day lunch. He chose to keep sending his staff member backward and forward from us to him to answer our questions when it was obvious she couldn't help us. we left abruptly after commenting on how hopeless the to-ing and fro-ing was between them. When we left he couldn't even be bothered to say goodbye!! (the bar and restaurant were empty at this time) we will dine elsewhere in the future, even though we are very local to the Butlers. In the current climate i can't believe a business would choose to treat people in this rude and appalling way. Such a shame as it could be an amazing place with the right management running it..

We have been coming here probably since it opened. We get take out about twice a week and eat in every So often. Food is excellent and all the staff are so friendly. Everyone should try New Year's Eve and believe it or Not Christmas Day. Takes all the stress out of cooking. Keep up the good work. Well done. Mr W.

What a Gem, fantastic atmosphere my husband and I recently visited for the first time with our friends. We were greeted by the landlady who has a genuine friendly bubbly personality, which has obviously rubbed off onto her team. The menu was fantastic, I'm trying to eat reasonably healthy and there was so much choice. The food arrived beautifully presented, nice and hot and the waiters/waitress very polite. The 5 of us all enjoyed the 2 courses that we ordered. Will definitely be visiting again.

Food excellent, service not up to standard. Went to the restaurant this weekend and was expecting a much higher standard than we received. Yes the food was excellent but the service definitely wasn't. I found the manager Vinny to be rude and ignorant of anyone that he didn't know, we asked for a drinks menu and after receiving it we ate and left the restaurant without drinks as no one came back to take our order! Vinny spent more time talking to the tables containing groups of girls and ignored everyone else. We asked for glasses of water at the beginning of the night and didn't get these so gave up, ate our food and left. It's a shame as the food is excellent.
