Mamas Kitchen – BlackpoolWent to the Outside inn last night for a family members 80 birthday, what a disappointment we thought there was a waiting time for food between 30 and 40 mins it turned out to be nearly 2 hrs .When it did arrive it was cold. there wasn't a lot of choice for vegetarians either so I had the cheese and leek tart which wasn't bad but the chips where cold and not a lot of them with a small amount of salad,i sent the meal back because it was cold, my grandson had the mega childs meal when that came I would hate to see the normal 1 there was hardly anything on it in fact I asked them to put a bit more spaghetti on if there was a teaspoon on I would be surprised. He left most of it because it was over cooked. The lady who's birthday it was wasn't impressed her meal her husband's and another guest didn't enjoy the meal. We definitely won't be going back there.
Plum Tree Farm – BlackpoolWell, this is going to be easy. Everything was fantastic. The atmosphere, service, food, prices, absolutely everything. I've been meaning to visit this lovely little restaurant for a long time now. The menu is compact which is great as I can take for ever to choose, although as they have selected some of the best and most popular dishes it was still difficult. We had the Prawn Saganki and Loukaniko & Halloumi to start. Prawn Saganaki is one of those dishes that in theory shouldn't work. Feta cheese, prawns and spicy tomato sauce mixed together? Really? Yes folks, taste sensation let me tell you. Plenty of herbs, especially basil, and the combination works really well so make sure to order some pitta to adequately dispose of all the sauce. The other starter was equally tasty, but you can't really go wrong with good wine soaked village style pork sausages and tasty Cyprus sheep's milk cheese. One of the best taste combos out there. The sausage was cooked just right so all the subtle flavours came through and the cheese was prefect too, nice and soft. I particularly liked the presentation of the Loukaniko which made the pieces look like mini octopus. Onto the mains where we chose Kleftiko and the Fish Platter. Kleftiko was a lamb shank served with potatoes, carrots and shallot. The meat just fell off the bone but was full of flavour and the accompaniments were equally flavoursome with just the right softness without disintegrating. Fish Platter consisted of a lovely white filet which had been expertly cooked so that it flaked off the skin but was still moist and delicious, large mussels that had been topped with an incredibly thin crust which was delightful, a whole kalamari that had been cut into rings, floured and fried plus some king prawns. The whole lot was served with a small salad garnish, half a lemon and a side of divinely sweet oven potatoes. We also had the obligatory Horiatiki Salata (village salad) which comprised of a mix of very fresh and crisp lettuce, cucumber, tomato, red onion, green pepper, black olives and feta. It was very lightly dressed, but personally, that's better than being drowned in dressing to the point where it's all gone soggy before you've eaten half of it. All this was assisted on its way down with a delightful bottle of Retsina, which I think is still far too underrated a wine in this country. Go to the supermarket and buy a bottle. Try it with seafood, nibbles or just in a paper bag on a park bench. You won't be disappointed, unless it's raining when you're sat on that bench and your paper bag is getting soggy. Anyway, to round off an already pleasurable evening, we found a small space for dessert. The Baklava is made in-house and is to die for. Sorry mum, but it shouldn't be downed in syrup (luckily she doesn't go online). The crispy top complemented the chewy, soaked base and the crunchy nuts. Nothing bad to see here folks, keep moving along, all the way to Go Greek. Seriously, if you haven't been, GO, GO, GO!!! Trust me, I'm Greek .....
Go Greek – BlackpoolExcellent. Nothing to much trouble. Well done nothing more I can say. Go and see for yourself !
Mi Casa Su Casa – BlackpoolThe worst Chinese ever!! Do not order food from here! Crispy beef with awful sos hp brown sos!!!! They don't care if you not happy with food they will ignore you and be sarcastic with you. There is no manager you can talk to you and staff put phone down on me! Discounting customer service!!!
Wok Wow – BlackpoolGood food, good service, lovely decor, definitely recommended.
Michaels Indian Restaurant – BlackpoolOMG! Can't believe the reviews I've read. This hotel is terrible. Its dirty, seedy and horrid. The dirty windows should have told us all we needed to know. The shower was indescribable and they wouldn't give us bleach to clean it. Didn't even manage to spend one night. Wouldn't allow my daughter to stay in a place like that.
Turkish Palace – BlackpoolPersonally wouldn't go again. Quite overpriced and food is definitley not what I would call great. Got it delivered and they also forgot half the order. Would go to FARMHOUSE PANTRY over this anyday!!
Mamas Kitchen – BlackpoolWorst takeaway ever, sliced chicken burger/ filet dumped on plain rise in a grim brown source. No vegetables, no flavour, zero presentation.
Wok Wow – BlackpoolHad a lovely meal with my mother last night. Will return soon. Paul
San Marcos – BlackpoolBrill food , good price , staff could do no more , our sixth visit to this little gem. Food superbly cooked , service excellent not waiting around for food always piping hot. Well worth a visit if you are in blackpool 10 out of 10.
Othellos – BlackpoolExcellent food always piping hot, just as it should be. Very good value for money.
Shovels, The – BlackpoolI hadn't eaten at Micheal Wan's Mandarin since I was a kid. My mother used to take me after school every week. It is still going and has been serving great Chinese food since 1968. It has recently been modernised giving it an authentic period Chinese feel, which is upmarket with a kind of modern slant using a vibrant colour scheme. Sevice was friendly and professional. I rarely eat Chinese food however I enjoyed all the dishes we shared, particulaly the prawn Szechuan and crispy duck. It was my mothers birthday and the restaurant provided appropriate table decorations and a cake I didn't request. A nice touch that was appreciated. We will return and recommend it.
Michael Wan’s Mandarin – BlackpoolBest in Blackpool - tasty fish, very clean, nice people around, friendly staff (from Poland I think)! 10/10
Captains Table – BlackpoolThis was recommended by a friend.
Mi Casa Su Casa – BlackpoolBeen coming here everyday for the last few years everytime we come to Blackpool for a holiday. It is the best fish and chip place in Blackpool. Excellent fresh fish and chips. My daughter always has the sausage and chips and just loves it. Very clean and very friendly staff. Made friends with them as we have been so often. Would highly recommend. Wish our chippy at home was as good. Looking forward to our next visit.
