Nandos – BlackpoolMy Family and i stayed here last weekend, we travelled 4 hours to get there and when we arrived it was very late. the staff were amazing even thought it was late at night they all helped to settle us in our room, we had small children with us and they got milk ready and a meal as we" d had nothing to eat on our journey nothing was to much trouble for them.we will go back to this hotel again and AGAIN ...thanks jim and bev
Turkish Palace – BlackpoolI duly attended this restaurant this evening at 7pm. There were no other customers there when I arrived which wasn't a great sign, but in this economy I didn't read anything into that. Times is hard and all that. The first staff member I saw was the barman. He looked so miserable and struggled to welcome me with any warmth. When the next member of staff brought me the menu my enthusiasm didn't rise at all. The restaurant offers a tea-time menu until 8pm of 2 courses for £10.95. They did not offer me the menu upon arrival and I had to ask for it. I ordered Lamb Tikka starter and Chicken Madras with pilau rice main course. The lamb was dry and I'd say had been been "warmed up" a good few times previously. It was accompanied by a limp, aged salad which I left. There was no yoghurt dressing which one may normally expect with such a dish. The main course, chicken madras was delivered in a coconut sauce, perhaps moreassociated with a korma than a madras , with no chilli bite or spice one would normally expect from a Madras curry. The pilau rice was fine. I was very hungry indeed and ate most of it but felt very let down. The waiter asked at the end of the meal how it was. I told him it wasn't great and asked for the bill. He took time to seek further feedback as to the shortcomings of the meal which showed as a waiter he cared so fair play to him. I'm sad to report that this was the worst Indian meal I have eaten in 27 years.
Ayaan Chillies Fine Indian Dining – BlackpoolAbsolutely terrible!!! Despite it recently getting shut down for having rats i assumed it would have sorted itself out and as i had previously enjoyed food from there i gave it the benefit of the doubt. Got a phone call from the delivery driver and clarified address as they had given him the wrong one, knowing he was only down the road i waited in the front room. After half an hour i called back wondering what had happened as i was absolutely starving and got told that he had been round banged on the door twice and rang the bell twice, absolutely no chance. Then on hearing the driver call me a "lying bitch" in the background i told them to forget it.....will not be ordering from there ever again.
Wok Wow – BlackpoolHad a wonderful time at the Turkish Palace last weekend. From the moment I arrived the staff couldn't do enough for me and my girlfriend. We ate in the restaurant and the food was amazing, I'd strongly suggest the mixed meze starter, it was delicious as was the Chicken Plate. The service was great in the restaurant as well and the guy behind the residents bar had some cracking banter with us after we came back from a night out, The Cocktails are lethal but lovely. Gonna come back down in a couple of months to try the spa which should be open by then. All in all a wonderful hotel and cracking restaurant. Will be sure to tell my mates bout it as well as it was really cheap for the weekend and i'd looked at a good few hotels before booking. Don't miss out on this palace :)
Turkish Palace – BlackpoolThis is the best restaurant ever!!!! We went last night and the food was superb, staff very attentive and the place itself was lovely. We came away very full and very happy - would recommend it to anyone!!!!!!!! As extremely fussy eaters who expect the best, we were not disappointed - everything from the popadoms at the start to the brandy at the end were just sport on, and we even got free drinks when the staff realised it was our 10th wedding anniversary - WE WILL BE BACK!!!!!
Leeraj Indian Cuisine – BlackpoolHad take away and was well happy. While waiting looked around and its very clean and the seating area was very busy and everyone seemed to be having a good time and a good meal. Staff are very friendly. Will tell all my friends to try it....10/10
Go Greek – Blackpoolstayed at turkish palace this weekend we were welcomed by a big guy in a green fairy suit.which we found very funny.we were shown to are room and our bags were carried for us.which we have never had done for us in blackpool.our room was warm with clean bedding and the towels were in heart shaped with flowers all over the bed.i payed £35 a night and didnt expect much but the room was lovely,we have allready booked to go back with our family as we had an amazing time there....james
Turkish Palace – BlackpoolBoxed salads to die for - you always get what you ask for and then some - I am always stuffed and can't manage the roll or wrap that comes with it. The food is so fresh and the staff are great and really put themselves out to make sure you get just what you want. Everything is so clean and the prices are amazing. I would love to know where Danbpool goes that could beat NOSH on food, service, cleanliness, freshness and price
Nosh Sandwich Shop – Blackpoolhad a brill time at the palace, the food was excellent, the staff was friendly and the rooms were lovley, would stay there again without a doubt.
Turkish Palace – BlackpoolWe paid for ensuite @ £45 but not really an ensuite room as shower didn't run warm. Told to use neighbouring bathroom but not offered any money back even though standard rooms are only £28.ROOM NOT AS DESCRIBED..On Arrival, the welcome wasn't as expected of a hotel. There was no bedding on the bed when we entered the room and towels from the previous guests were left sprawled over the wardrobe. When the bedding was finally put onto the bed, the extras (petals etc.) that are on the pictures online were not provided. The bedding was uncomfortable, it felt cheap and rough. There were stains up the walls that could be covered up with a lick of paint. Considering it is "refurbished" the TV provided in the room did not work as there was no digital feed and obviously there is no analogue signal now. The carpet in the bedroom was covered in bits, it looked as though it had not been vacuumed after previous guests had vacated the room. The carpet strip between the bedroom and bathroom was unsafe and if all that wasn't enough, the view from the room was absolutely awful, it looked like a tip. The lock on the bathroom door didn't work and the toilet roll holder was broken. Both the window in the bedroom and the window in the bathroom were stiff as well. The description on line also mentioned free wi-fi which we could not find when searching for it. THE BREAKFASTOur breakfast was inclusive within our £45 but that wasn't much good either. There were no menus to give us an idea of the options for breakfast, the table was wobbly, there was a plug socket hanging off the wall and the breakfast when brought to us was nothing brilliant either. We had ordered beans on toast and a toasted bacon sandwich. The beans on toast came with un-buttered toast and a minimal amount of beans between the two slices of toast. The toasted bacon sandwich came with one small slice of bacon and again un-buttered toast. No sauces were offered to us either. Very disappointed with our stay, won't be staying there again and will be requesting a refund.
Turkish Palace – Blackpoolnever disappointed with the food. always friendly - the bill never a shock.new outside eating area very nice too .
Dahlia’s Kitchen – BlackpoolWe visited Constantines for the first time this eveningand we weren't disappointed. The owners are very welcoming and personable, the decor fresh and clean. For starters i had the Scallops another first for me and they were truly delicious. My main course was the lamb rump my husband opting for the T bone steak the lamb was really tasty and tender, i also sampled the T bone steak and it was melt in the mouth delicious i will definately be ordering it when i return. The portions were generous and i had to squeeze in dessert of chocolate fudge cake another winner served with ice cream and cream. We also sampled the coffee and mints as we were enjoying ourselves so much. The prices were very reasonable and we will definately be returning as soon as we can get another babysitter.
Constantine’s – BlackpoolRecently under new management we visited Jade Delight on a Monday evening our party consisted of two adults and 2 children. We opted for the all you can eat buffet at £9.95 per adult we were quickly seated and invited to help ourselves to the range of starters on offer including crispy duck pancakes, spare ribs in various sauces, won tons, soup dim sum etc they even had chicken nuggets and chips for the kids. all the dishes were hot and refreshed regularly. For our main we had a variety of dishes from the menu where you can order regular or smaller portions if you wish to sample. The lemon chicken was fantastic as was the kung po pork and noodles. For dessert you can help yourself to various flavours of ice cream, fruit salad fresh fruit and i can highly recommend the coconut and mango jelly. The staff were very attentive and polite and very interested in our feedback. I would definately recommendJade Delight and i'm sure we will be paying another visit very soon, the only downside was that i couldn't eat more.
Jade Delight Oriental Buffet Restaurant – BlackpoolWe have been eating at Tiggywinkles for over 5 years now and can highly recommend it. The food is all home made none of this readymade heated up in the microwave rubbish that most places serve and charge a fortune for. I can highly recommend the homemade lasagne and chips a personal favourite and the lamb Henry. The chips are "proper" chips so tasty and the portions are more than generous. You won't get a warmer welcome anywhere else that is one of the reasons people return year upon year.
Tiggy Winkles Of Bond Street – BlackpoolWasn't keen on this place, cutlery wasn't clean very average.
Nosh Sandwich Shop – Blackpoolwhat a fantastic opening event! the cuisine was outstanding, fresh tasting and well presented. well worth another visit
Turkish Palace – BlackpoolNice clean place one of the best in Blackpool BUT when my husband had a problem with his meal we were dealt with in the most disgusting manner and the waitress had a cocky and rude attitude. I'm very disappointed and will not be going there again!!!!
