Anatolia Sea View, St Annes – A Room With A View
As Sam Cooke used to sing, ‘It’s been a long time coming.’ Three years, to be precise, since restaurateur Veli Kirk first planned to open the doors to his new venture at The Island complex on St Annes promenade. But with lease and building problems now resolved the new ‘open BBQ’ Turkish and Mediterranean restaurant will finally welcome diners in June.
The first floor restaurant is in a prime location with fabulous views out over the Irish Sea. There’s a terrace too to make the most of them as well as a main restaurant area that seats 90 and a private function room that can accommodate 30. Veli hopes to build on the success of his existing restaurant Anatolia on Park Road which is perennially busy but can only accommodate 34 diners.
The new venue will add to the attractions at The Island complex in St Annes which include a cinema, swimming pool, pub, amusements and boating lake.
