All Change At The Station, Lytham
The Station Pub & Grill in Lytham is a fine old building with a history dating back to the golden age of the railways. A victim of the rail cutbacks in the 1960s, it lay derelict until 1986 when it was turned into a public house which over the years has built a reputation for its beer, food and entertainment. New owners took over the premises in 2016 and have added a covered and heated seating area out front which in summer, being south facing, is a real suntrap.
Food is served every day from 11am through to 9pm with the focus on Grill dishes. If you’re feeling particularly peckish try The Cook’s Giant Mixed Grill – Welsh rump steak, gammon steak, chicken wings, pork sausage, grilled tomato, mushrooms, garden peas, onion rings and hand-cut chips, all for just £12.95. The menu offers plenty of choice with a selection of 28-day-aged steaks, burgers, salads, rib specialities, sharers, hot and cold sandwiches and nine different pub classics as well plenty of starters and desserts.
The Station is also the best place for live music in the Lytham St Annes area with top local bands performing every Saturday and sometimes Fridays too. Better still, entrance is free!
Every success to the new venue,we really do need somewhere other than the Italian takeover. Sounds great, can't wait to give it a go.
