Horn OK Please!
Anyone who has spent any time in India will know that ‘Horn OK Please’ is a common sight on the back of trucks, buses or local taxis, encouraging drivers to honk their horns when they are overtaking. It’s also now the name of an exclusive limited edition light ale brew available in Mughli restaurants in Manchester and Knutsford.
The brothers behind Mughli have teamed up with Salford brewmasters First Chop and local artist Stanley Chow – who famously incurred the displeasure of Donald Trump – to launch the craftily hopped, straw-coloured ale with its noticeable aroma of citrus and honey. Stanley came up with the idea of a cow after a recent trip to India and with his lasting memories of cows standing in the middle of the road and traffic and musical horns everywhere.
Horn OK Please is the perfect accompaniment to Mughli’s bold ‘Indian Soul Food’ dishes inspired by the roadside ‘dhabba’ cafes and family kitchens of Mughal India and available at Mughli Charcoal Pit on Rusholme’s Curry Mile and its Bar + Kitchen on King Street in Knutsford.
