The Pub Of The Year 2018
We’re in the midst of the food & drink awards season and the latest gong to be dished out is the 2018 Pub of The Year award from the Good Pub Guide. This year it’s gone to a Cotswold pub with restaurant and rooms, the Kings Head Inn at Bledington, Oxfordshire. Dating back to the 16th century, it’s been run by Archie and Nicola Orr-Ewing since 2000 and the Good Pub Guide picks out the “lively, friendly bar, excellent drink selection, first class food and lovely bedrooms.” Set on the village green, it's the archetypal rural idyll, 19 miles from Oxford and 24 miles from Cheltenham.
