Store Street Exchange Launch New Outdoor Drinking Space
As Manchester welcomes this fabulous Mancunian summer, Store Street Exchange has launched its own urban oasis in the form of a new outdoor area – the Terrace. Located on the ground floor just outside the restaurant, the Terrace continues the relaxed environment of the Store Street Craft Bar, creating an informal and stylish al fresco drinking and dining enclave. The space has been completely refurbished and showcases accents of wood, tiles, metal and greenery with lots of seating, all providing the perfect spot for watching the world go by on those summer nights to come.
The Terrace has its own bar serving J W Lees Manchester Pale Ale and Manchester Craft Lager alongside the full Store Street drinks menu. The whole of the Store Street Exchange restaurant menu is also served up on the Terrace, meaning that their acclaimed grills and rotisserie, as well as salads, fresh breads, vegetarian and fish dishes, quick bites and fine puddings will all be available to enjoy al fresco this summer. The space is also available for private hire for private or corporate parties and al fresco get togethers – perfect for a summer party! There is a dedicated BBQ menu for this, with prices starting at £35 per head.
Store Street Exchange and Store Street Craft Bar have also launched a new cocktail menu for summer. It makes the most of some great local new partnerships and has a welcome new emphasis on Manchester gins, with both the city’s distilleries, Three Rivers and Thomas Dakin featuring. The result is a collection of perfectly balanced revivers - classic drinks with a sunshine-inspired twist, and brand-new signature creations – all of which are just the ticket for sipping al fresco on the Terrace.
Manchester Bee
A great cocktail for a great city… combining Manchester’s own Three Rivers gin, with honey (representing the famous worker bee) and refreshing cucumber, elderflower cordial, lemon juice and apple juice. A delicious, sophisticated ‘summer in a glass’ experience.
Cucumber Gimlet
Another classic given an uplifting Store Street summer twist. Manchester Gin by Thomas Dakin is mixed with lime juice, lemonade and cucumber – a long, zesty drink balanced with the cool, refreshing influence of cucumber.
Fizzy Margarita
Margaritas may have already felt like the last word in summer drinking experiences… until now! Store Street Exchange have uncovered the missing ingredient that it turns out we’ve all been waiting for – bubbles! A dash of fizz gives the traditional margarita a cracking new kick and transforms it into THE summer sundowner.
Caribbean Pimms
A totally tropical take on Pimms for summer – forget green lawns and tennis, this is a taste of island life and hot summer nights, as traditional British Pimms gets a Caribbean makeover with the addition of passion fruit syrup and spicy ginger beer.
The Cuban Mule
A twist on the classic Moscow Mule is given a sunshine-inspired twist via Havana Especial rum and mixed with lime, mint and topped with ginger beer it is the ultimate spicy summer refresher.
The Terrace will be open on sunny days from 8.00am for breakfast through to dinner up to 10.00pm.
