The Metropole Hotel, Padstow

Long before Rick Stein put Padstow on the culinary map, this picturesque north Cornwall fishing port was a popular destination for visitors. The Metropole Hotel dates back to 1904, when the railways first arrived, and it enjoys an enviable position overlooking the sea and the harbour.
